• Natalie (7/5): Great location for a short stay. - Quiet location, comfortable, friendly staff. Very small beds and shower was too small with not enough towels. Very pricey for what was available for a short stay.

The location was the best in Flam to wake upto with the water's edge opposite our room Beautiful food including 3 course evening meal & an amazing buffet breakfast which was freshly made including hot and cold foods Delicious Staff were all very friendly and happy to help with any questions 100% will return Thank you Noise from other guests next door & above you could hear everyone settling in for the night As early risers it wouldn't put us off to much to stay again

• Hilary (10/5): Exceeded my expectations! - Amazing view, probably one of the best in Flåm valley. The food was amazing. Every dinner was fresh and delicious. The staff were very helpful and kind. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to visit Flåm!
• Jesslyn (10/5): Lovely stay for a night. - Quiet and scenic location. Small enough that it didn’t feel like a busy touristy hotel. Very personal lodging. Felt really safe and well cared for. Didn’t bother me, but you’d have to carry your luggage up or down the stairs.

L'accueil également était très chaleureux et le personnel à l'écoute et agréable. La chambre (petite, sans beaucoup de confort, spartiate). Salle d'eau également petite et pas très bien nettoyée quand nous sommes arrivés dans la chambre.

• Yngvar (8/5): We enjoyed the stay very much - The front desk the Italian lady was very helpful and kind and went out of her way to give us good service. the breakfast was excelent We felt it quite expensive but maybe that is due to the excellent location and maybe also Norwegian prices.

Well, it would be better find clean in every part of the floor, not only in the area you walk on. Room a bit overpriced for one night, IMO
• Willem (10/5): Fantastic place and the highlight of our three week visit to Scandinavia. - The Heimly Pensjonat is a magical location in a beautiful setting. The cost includes a wonderful dinner and a great breakfast in the morning. There are tables and chairs on the front lawn offering stunning views while you enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

• Manuela (7/5): Tolle Lage in Flåm in einer sehr einfachen Unterkunft, jedoch mit tollem Personal. - Das Abendmenü war sehr gut und die Lage im begehrten Flåm super. Ich kann die teilweise kritischen Kommentare bezüglich der eher kleinen Portionen nachvollziehen, wenn man den ganzen Tag wandern war. Dann ist es schon eher knapp, ansonsten aber ausreichend. Ganz allgemein bezahlt man vor allem für die Lage im sehr touristischen Flåm und es ist für die Leistung eher zu teuer.

• Mehmet Latif (7/5): - It was a great location a bit further then cruise ship which is better. Dinner was fantastic. It could be our best dinner during 1 week of journey in Norway. Bed quality can be improved, there were some dust on it too. We cleaned it but could be nice if we found it cleaner.

• Hermann (9/5): Charming hotel with incredible dinners-half board available - The breakfast was really good. The dinners were exceptional! Everything tasted so homemade but as if you had a gourmet chef at your home. We stayed for 3 nights and each dinner was delicious! They have a quick starter, an entree, and dessert. You can buy beer, wine, juices, etc or just have water. Highly recommend including the half board option. Especially because the other food options in town feel very commercial and the fun delicious food at the food truck area closes fairly early. It was tough getting our luggage up the steps both outside and inside the hotel. We are in Norway for 2 weeks so we have checked baggage sized luggage but if you have any issues with stairs, you probably should look elsewhere as there really is no way around them here.

• NATASHA (10/5): Friendly, full of character, wonderful view. - Wonderful view from bedroom window and tables outside (worth paying extra for a room with a view). We loved going for a little walk in the evening. Complimentary tea, coffee, and water in reception. Far enough away from the hustle and bustle by the dock but still within easy walking distance. Delicious breakfast and 3 course dinner (set menu with no choice - but we were very happy and it exceeded our expectations). Slight niggle was the smell of the bathroom drain.

La habitación discreta, la cena incluida en el servicio excelente; recomendación reservar la mesa en alguno de los 2 turnos que ofrece el hotel. El desayuno, con servicio buffet, muy bueno. El baño muy pequeño, pero con buena agua caliente para tomar una ducha después de caminar mucho. Las camas, si bien muy cómodas, algo pequeñas.
• Grant (8/5): Great location. - The location was fabulous and the staff very helpful. The single beds were surprisingly very narrow, more like a small bench with a mattress on top.
• Claudia (8/5): Bellissima vista sul fiordo! - La struttura si trova in una posizione bellissima con vista sul fiordo: è stato molto bello passare la notte in questa località e poter ammirare dalla finestra la baia in diversi momenti della giornata. Cena e colazione sono state ottime, abbiamo mangiato piatti tradizionali che ci hanno sorpresi. Inoltre in fase di check-in è stata posta attenzione verso nostre eventuali allergie e la cucina è stata disponibile a modificare egregiamente il piatto previsto per la cena. La camera di piccole dimensioni ospitava due letti separati, avremmo preferito dormire in un letto matrimoniale. La gestione dei tavoli nella sala dedicata a cena e colazione non è ottimale: gli spazi angusti non permettono ai camerieri di lavorare agilmente creando situazioni di impiccio.

• Alasdair (2/5): Glorified hostel. - The views were spectacular. The staff were very pleasant. The room was exceedingly small. The twin beds were ridiculously small. The bathroom was minute and the shower a joke. The WC was disgustingly dirty and the bins were not emptied. The bathroom tiles and grout were dirty and mouldy. The party walls and ceiling were thin and you could hear your neighbours move about and cough. The evening dinner and breakfast were ok but nothing to shout about. It’s a bit of a walk to the property from the station / town centre - fine in good weather but it would be a real hassle if it was raining. Finally, our one night dinner, bed n breakfast cost us £400.00. In Norway we expect to pay a”premium” but this really was stretching the boundaries. Basically, it’s a glorified hostel with a view that does some food.

The outdoor seating area are an added bonus especially in good weather to take in the view and surrounds. The lounging areas comfortable and clean with convenient located power outlets. The rooms are very small with the ensuite exceedingly so. Don't expect to bend over in the shower.

We got food poisoning during our stay (likely because of the fish we ate at dinner since we did not eat anything else the entire day) and had the worst night. The staff did let us check out later to help accommodate.

• Shardha (6/5): Good location, good views, good food with a room/bed which could be better. - The hotel is a short walk from the main railway station. The dinner & breakfast was good and of European standard. The view from the room was great and we wish we had an extra day. The staff were really good and offered us a packed breakfast since the train was leaving early the next day. We got 2 single beds which could not be put together in quite a small room. Coming from a background of large rooms at home and most hotels we booked during this trip the problem stood out like a sore thumb.
• Diane (4/5): I would not stay there again or recommend it to others. - The view was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed was extremely uncomfortable - basically a thin twin mattress on a wood platform. We are vegetarian and the dinner was passable but pretty bland. There is no elevator to the second floor rooms, where we were, so the suitcases had to be carried up a narrow and steep staircase.

• Ulrike (9/5): We very much enjoyed our time at Heimly and highly recommend staying there. - We especially liked the view, and liked having a nice seating area for reading and playing games. (As in most places we stayed, the rooms themselves are quite small.) Both breakfast and dinner were exceptional. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and professional. We also appreciated getting an email from the property telling us about the different activities that are available in the area. It helped us plan how to best spend our time in Flam. The one improvement I would suggest is to offer free transport from the train station/harbor and reverse, in case of bad weather. (And I emphasize, ONLY in case of bad weather.) It's a pleasant and easy walk to get to the pension, but it can be quite miserable when it rains. Since there is no taxi service in Flam, one can only hope that when it pours, there will be a taxi waiting upon arrival. When leaving town, one has to order a taxi as much as half a day before actually departing only because it might rain that morning. In addition we were told that the taxi service is not always reliable.

• Laura (10/5): Exceptional - Dinner and breakfast were excellent, and they were able to accommodate our food allergies (we gave advanced notice). The hotel was a 10-min walk from the training station and port, at the head of the fjord, with beautiful views. The day of checkout, they let us store our luggage there and use the sitting room to hang out in until our boat left. Everyone was helpful. Need more towels in the bathroom to soak up the water on the floor from the shower.
