• Tanja (10/5): Our stay at Lakeside was as beautiful and captivating as the terrace view itself :) - Our stay at Lakeside beginning of May 2026 was as beautiful and captivating as the terrace view itself. Daniela and Markus gave their best to make us feel cozy and welcome. On top of it, they shared useful tips that enabled us to seize the day in Lucerne area far more than we could achieve if targeting several well advertised locations as we initially planned. • Levente (10/5): Our Engagement Getaway - The view was exceptional. Like really. We've been all around Europe but this was something out of a fairytale. The hosts were extremely helpful and friendly. The house had every amenity you could ask for. Super clean!! We went backpacking, so we didnt have a car. The walk to the house was uphill, but the way there was also scenic (5-10 minutes walk from the nearest busstop)

I have some more pictures but in other phone and I can upload th - Location of the property is excellent It was advertised lake view room, but the only room which was open, there is no lake view from the room. Lock box code should have been given me when I booked, not when I left USA as almost every one will not use USA phone but will buy local SIM card. Lock need to replaced as one can only open or lock with little twice. I am 74 years old and with heart problem, it was nightmare for me to climb 46 steps and bring all 4 suit cases up though lift is there at the property, but land lord says that use of lift is only available when he is in the property. Air bnb sign board should be clearly visible, at the moment it is hidden behind the plant. Wi-Fi pw should also given when I booked , not a day before when I do not access my emails due to the fact I use only local phone. If possible land lid should have enough lighting on stairs as it is very dark and it is not safe for an old man, since use of lift is prohibited unless owner is present at the property. There is no doubt, property is excellent and with a very good lake view, but the room available to me was not a lake view though it was advertised that it is a lake view room.

I was passing by for a single night to participate to the Lucerne Marathon ; the timing was a bit complicated to manage and the owners were extremely flexible to make it work! Bed and room were very comfortable with a small personal balcony/terrace and the view from the apartment is absolutely mesmerizing. Thanks a lot for the kindness!

• belen (2/5): - Our room has no cabinet for our clothes … There is a cabinet but full of the owner Things . First time we experience about it. There was no kettle for hot water. We used hot water direct from the faucet. The owner was unpleasant.
• Frances (10/5): Wish to spend more time there and Lucerne - The view is unbeatable! We arrived during sunset time and I couldn’t get my eyes off the view for a second. Markus is very welcoming and friendly, we got everything we need during the stay. The bed and pillow were the best in my entire trip that I had a nice sleep. Like some said in the comments, it’s a shared apartment instead of the entire apartment. Though we got our own room and bathroom, we were quite surprised to know we were paying a high rate for not the whole space only after the booking. Maybe the description needs some adjustments.
• Lisa (8/5): - - Markus und Daniela sind sehr sympathische, hilfsbereite und diskrete Gastgeber. - Die Unterkunft liegt nur etwa 10 Minuten mit dem Bus von Luzern weg. - Die Unterkunft liegt außerdem in einer traumhaften Umgebung mit atemberaubendem Blick auf den Vierwaldstättersee und ist wunderschön renoviert. - Das Gästebadezimmer verfügt über eine schöne ebenerdige Dusche. - Kostenlose Parkplätze sind an der Unterkunft verfügbar. - Kaffee und Tee sind verfügbar und Küche kann mitbenutzt werden. - Es geht leider, aus laut Gastgeber technischen Gründen seitens Booking.com, nicht klar aus der Beschreibung hervor, dass es sich nur um ein Zimmer und nicht um eine ganze Unterkunft handelt. Dies erfährt man leider erst nach der nicht kostenlos stornierbaren Buchung. Da die Buchung zu dem Zeitpunkt bereits getätigt war, haben wir uns tatsächlich gar nicht mehr nach einer kostenlosen Stornierung erkundigt, und haben dann erst vor Ort erfahren, dass eine kostenlose Stornierung doch vom Gastgeber ermöglicht worden wäre, falls diese gewünscht gewesen wäre. - Die Fotos der Unterkunft sind etwas irreführend, da ein Zimmer mit direktem Seeblick darauf ersichtlich ist, welches jedoch laut vor Ort erhaltenen Informationen nicht (mehr) vermietet wird. Wir waren somit etwas enttäuscht in dem anderen Zimmer übernachten zu müssen welches nicht diesen wunderschönen Seeblick hat. - Das Bad ist leider nicht en-suite, so dass die Privatsphäre doch limitiert ist. Zudem zeigt das Badezimmerfenster der Gastgeber direkt auf die zum Schlafzimmer gehörende Terrasse, welche somit leider auch etwas an Privatsphäre einbüßt. - Die Bettbezüge könnten erneuert werden, der Reißverschluss war kaputt, so dass die Decke aus dem Bezug rutschte, und im Zimmer waren viele Spinnennetze.
• Sujan (8/5): - The room was nice. Amazing view from the balcony. We arrived quite late but Markus was very helpful with check in and instructions. There is free parking if you need it. The shower was one of the highlights of the apartment. They even have lift to take things up. The only thing we did not like was there was no proper ventilation in the room. There is a door that goes out to the balcony. So, if you want some fresh air, you have to leave that open. Would say it is expensive but so is Switzerland (would not really complain about that).
• Sturgeon (10/5): Relaxing stay with a view - Amazing views. Clean and comfortable and friendly hosts with knowledge of the area. Liked the location outside of Lucerne centre. Easy to walk to if you like walking and bus stop 10mins walk away if not. Everything was excellent.

• Rachel (10/5): Hidden gem with STUNNING views! - The view was absolutely INCREDIBLE!! It was a very happy surprise. We sat on the porch for almost 3 hours to take in the views. The apartment was also very clean and spacious. We wish we could have stayed longer. Nothing! Our stay was fantastic.
