Guest Reviews
- Michelle (7/5): Great location friendly staff - The convenience to the beach. No housekeeping. Not very clean. Very thin walls. Terrible water pressure.
- Maulian (10/5): We had a great beach vacation. - We loved the layout and cleanliness. The proximity to the train tracks.
- Sara (5/5): - Location Flies in room upon check in, coffee maker had old filter and grounds in it, paper towel holder had empty roll and no refill no a/c downstairs
- Jean-Sebastien (9/5): -
- Cassidy (9/5): We had a wonderful time, thank you! - Wonderful location, super friendly staff and a perfect room for our family! The only thing I think that would have made the stay even better is a grilling area!
- Pam (8/5): It’s very small but very clean and comfortable. Certainly met our expectations. - The lady at the check in office, Shirley, was absolutely delightful. She was very kind and very helpful ~ and hilarious!
- Jeane (7/5): - Access to beach Cramped. Smokers allowed by doors. Noisy
- Joseph (10/5): - Nice at this price. Sleeps 5-6
- Stephanie (7/5): Thank goodness for Shirley - she really wanted us to have a great time :) - size was perfect for our group (myself and four tweens) needs some TLC -- could be a really nice place if it were cleaner. Very uncomfortable beds mixed with being right next to the train tracks = no sleep at all
- Michael (9/5): -
- Nathalie Pelletier (10/5): relax - La dame à la réception était très sympathique et a même essayé de parler en français avec nous. Il devrait y avoir du café de dispo, ça débute bien la journée...
- Donnie (4/5): - They sent me a balance of what I had to left to pay, when I got there It was a lot more.
1:00 am people next door we're drunk and fight
- Carissa (10/5): We loved it and plan to use this hotel for all future visits - Clean room close to everything. Check in was easy when we left we didn’t have to worry about parking each room has parking for one car. Clean and there was enough space for the family without having to have two rooms for two adults two teens and a baby
- Donice (8/5): Convenient location but overpriced - Access to beach. Air condition only in bedroom but if I had to choose that would be my choice. I must have missed the information about where to pick up the keys. It sleeps way more people than can fit in the common area. Downstairs TV stopped working.
- Scott (8/5): Very good - Needs better air conditioning it is only in one upstairs bedroom
- Patricia (6/5): Pleasant - No breakfast but didn't expect any. location was where we wanted to be Small downstairs area with small table tucked in under the stairs.
- Saul (10/5): Exceptional -
- JAIME MANUEL (6/5): - It was alright. Close to the beach.
- Linda (9/5): Superb - no door on second bedroom
- Mary (5/5): You are right behind train tracks so be prepared to hear 2 trains durinnight. For off season there was a lot of loud lat - Location was great close to beach and shops for walking Location
- Tapley (8/5): Comfortable and relaxed accomodations!! -
- Richard (3/5): Not for the elderly - Location was very good One bathroom on ground floor with bedrooms up very narrow stairwell. We were unable to stay here with any level of comfort or safety. We had to pay additional fees for bedroom across the street at On the Beach. I'm
- Kathy (7/5): Good - Location, cleanliness, had most if not all necessities.
Felt at home while away. Neighbors to the far left first unit spent all 3 days I was there literally camped out from morning til night smoking outside. The kids nor I could not enjoy/sit outside without the smell of cigarette smoke.
The toilet was Mickey Mouse fixed, so it started to clog/fill up and run and run. I have pics and video. It was a pain to have to deal with for most of my vacation. It had to be the toilet I read about in someone else’s review before booking. I would have reached out, but obviously it was never taken care of correctly the first time and left that way. The bathroom as a whole could use some updating rusted shelving broken towel holder and ceiling fan very loud sounded like it was on its way out. The train shakes the room and runs all day into the night/ early morning. We were all woken up several times and did not sleep much/well while on vacation. If you’re hoping to get some sleep while on vacation you won’t here try and book a stay that is not directly in front/parallel to the train tracks.
- Lois (9/5): Had a great time! - Location was great. Perfect for a couple. Good thing we love trains.
- Rontiris (9/5): Superb -
- Todd (4/5): - The office Manager was very direct. The office refused to have fresh towels delivered daily. The office manager was bothered to be servicing the hotel we stayed at. She refused to accommodate small needs toilet paper and towels. The hotel should be managed separately.
- Michael (4/5): Unhappy NH Family - The kitchen floor is forever dirty as the property is right next to train tracks. At 5:30 every morning the Amtrak train comes thru, blowing its horn. The futon that was supposed to be able to sleep 2 people was terrible. The mattress or cover was oversized and did not even fit on the futon frame. It was not usable as a couch because the mattress was so big. There was 3 adults and2 kids 1 was 4 the other 1. It was not worth the amount of money we paid per night for ths dump.Ther shower is so small you can barely move. They would be better off getting rid of the futons and putting in a couch, as the futon takes up so much space. Look around as there are better places that i am sure are cheaper
- Abdelfettah (10/5): Exceptional -
- jonathan (10/5): - une superbe de belle endroit pour 4-5 personnes, a visité a nouveau c'est sur!!
- Samantha (10/5): Exceptional - Location was great. Also enough roommates for a family of 4. That we could not use the pool.
- Annie (6/5): It is a cute place but our particular unit was not the cleanest when we got there. - close to the amusement park for our kids! It is only a few feet away from the train tracks, so VERY loud when the train goes by!
- Leon (9/5): We had a great time on vacation. The Sands Townhouse was a great place to stay. -
- Jennifer (6/5): Okay. It was fine for what we were there for but in no way special. - The location is great for beach access and walk to Palace Play land or mini golf. Beds comfortable. The manager of property was fantastic - super helpful. The Downeaster train runs right behind the building and blows its horn right outside the window at all hours of the day and night. It's so close that it shakes the bed. Unit was outdated and rustic. Other unit guests sit out front smoking and the smell wafts in the windows. Reminiscent of subsidized housing, which I support but don't want to vacation in for $1500.
- Patricia (6/5): - Aucun services sanitaires. Pas de papier de toilette, les serviettes nous devions aller dans une autre hôtel pour aller chercher des serviettes propres. 6 jours 4000$ canadiens ils manquaient royalement de services. Mais c’était propre.
- Joseph (10/5): - We have stayed here for years in July. Nice having the kitchenette- saves a lot of money on takeout or restaurants. Quick 2-3 minute walk to the beach. Nice people.
- Robert (8/5): It was good - Ok Price
- Lori (7/5): Good - Close to beach No air conditioning down stairs
- Vandermark (7/5): Amazing location, clean & comfy! - The location & the beds were very comfortable. The train is very loud so sleeping at night was interrupted. The unit shakes several times a night & a loud horn honks several times. The bedrooms need light blocking shades. The tvs could be smart so guests could just log into their own streaming services.
- Charles (8/5): Very nice place, clean and cheap. Strongly recommend - Beach Small shower
- Donna (1/5): Pay a few more bucks and stay somewhere else. - It was clean and freshly painted. Those are the only positives. Location was 30 feet from an active railroad tracks. Very active — mostly at nighttime. The whole place shook. The only a/c unit was located less than 2 feet from the side of the bed. Below a window. Loud and ineffective. The living area is far too small for more than one or two people. Priced too high for what the stay was worth.
- Gaitlyn (10/5): Exceptional - Spacious Not very clean
- Dallaire (10/5): Exceptional -
- Victor (6/5): - Nice 2 bedrooms apartment, small but ok for two adults, two kids
Only 1 bathroom and it’s downstairs…
Kitchen is complete with everything you need
Area around is nice and safe, good bars and restaurants
- Gail (10/5): Enjoyed our stay hope to stay again next year - Staff was very helpful and nice to deal with Across the street from the beach
- Louis (7/5): Good - Nicely situated 19 inchs tv
- Raymond (4/5): Disappointing -
- Gary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joelle (9/5): Superb -
- Kristin (9/5): Superb -
- Angelina (9/5): Perfect for our family! - Super clean & everything was in walking distance! They had everything we needed to cook besides seasonings & oil/butter. Plenty of fridge space & room in kitchen cabinets to put food away. Beautiful view of pirates cove & the beach from the 2nd floor! The train coming through did not bother us at all! We could walk right across the road through the hotel parking lot & be right on the beach. Getting in & out of the property with a vehicle during the day was rough, but we managed & did more walking than we planned!
- Brandon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kelley (9/5): Superb -
- Jenifer (8/5): Nice place to stay at OOB - Good location, close to downtown. The beds were super comfortable. Good little kitchen with everything we needed There wasn't really anywhere comfortable to sit and relax indoors. The futon was hard and uncomfortable. The little seating area outside was great until the weather got cold and rainy.
- Christopher (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect size for a small family. Equipped with everything we needed. It was very clean. Great location. It was in walking distance from the beach and the pier.
. Parking.was a little.cramped.
- Lorraine (8/5): Very good -
- Veronica (8/5): Very good - Location
Price
Space
Had everything we needed In drawer upstairs was pair of soaked rolled up men's boxers from another stay. When we opened the drawer the smell was literally nauseating. Tossed in trash and ran it outside.
- Angel (5/5): Easy walk to the pier, had a major issue with ants and futon was loud and uncomfortable also the mattress didn’t fit on - Close to the water. Ants, ants, ants
- Hallie (9/5): Superb - The location is perfect close to shops and beach! The sleeping arrangements weren't ideal for a family of 6. 2 kids had to sleep on the floors. Bunk beds would have been ideal but considering price and location they made due!
- Cathy (5/5): Passable - The bedrooms were nice and comfy. The stairs a little steep Could have left us know about the train that went through at all hours of the day and night
2:30 am whistle blowing for quite awhile and the rumbling as it goes by
- Carol (9/5): Nice little apartment. Clean Only had a small problem with the toilet but we fixed it ourselves. - Property was very close to everything we needed. Only down side was train behind the apartment, But it wasn't that bad.
- Anonymous (4/5): Disappointing -
- Deanne (6/5): - The property is located close to where we were going. However, it was dirty. The carpet made my feet black! It really needs to be replaced. The curtains were very dirty with dust bunnies on them. The tv reception was not great, I believe due to slow internet. If I were to want to stay longer, I would have complained. The beds were comfortable and everything thing else seemed to be reasonably clean. The train just outside was a bit of a problem. Not sure I would stay here again.
- Anonymous (10/5): Location Excellent and Accommodations really Nice! - Excellent l location with the beautiful Beach just steps away across the street. Also to walk to the Pier! The townhouse was even better than I expected and was very nice!! Had literally everything you could need to enjoy your stay.
- Caroline (9/5): Superb -
- Jodi (8/5): Great place to stay... - The town house style and all the amenities inside the town house. Amount of space you have inside. The staff were incredible!! Parking. Only one vehicle allowed. No AC in front bedroom. Walls are thin so you can hear the neighbors.
- Davis (10/5): enjoyed and want to book again but apparently booked for the next year. - location, I just wanted to be at the beach. parking was very tight
- Morris (8/5): Very good -
- Ryan (7/5): Good -
- Jason (5/5): great location but very overpriced for what you get! - location very overpriced and was still charged for a night when I shortened my stay!
- Jeffrey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joseph (10/5): - Been staying there for quite a few years. Has a kitchenette and 2 bedrooms (Plus pull-out couch). Best deal going.
- Lewis (7/5): Our stay overall was fair to satisfactory for the weekend. - Good location, comfortable beds. Upon arrival there was no direction or information that the Motel across the road was managing the property. so check in was a bit complicated and concerning. Although once checked in it he managing motel was helpful. The location was excellent for ocean/ beach access, Walking distance to pier OOB down town. Adjoining town houses were very noisy, party going on literally all night disrupting sleep. Train track directly off the backside of town house, and the air conditioner was very noisy, sounded like it was struggling and chugging to stay alive. Cleanliness was fair, however no complaints on the bed sheets , or bed comfort. Our stay was satisfactory. Best suited for 4 people not 6. and we had a 2 bedroom wiht 1 double in each vs. a queen + a double. the futon down stairs had no bedding included or avaible. we made do.
- Joseph (7/5): It was decent again location was great - The location and that it was 2 levels No privacy, there wasn't 2 bathrooms, no maid service, property needs an upgrade
- Stacy (6/5): - This property is small but in a great location. It holds 3 people comfortably.
- Anonymous (10/5): third year in a row staying there never a bad experience - nice to have separate bedrooms, close to beach and downtown living area little tight but manageable
- Anonymous (6/5): Pleasant - the location was perfect right across the street from the beach and walking distance to everything in town no laundry and everything felt so tight there. too small of a space.
- Jennifer (8/5): Very good -
- Kristin (9/5): Superb -
- Danelle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jody (10/5): Exceptional -
- Roxanne (8/5): Beautiful property steps from the beach made our vacation stay comfy and convenient! - The location is perfect. Direct path to the beach! The pictures did not do the place justice. Super clean and comfortable! I will look to book there again! I booked a room for 6 and only had towels for 4, but it was super easy to get more. Staff was very accommodating.
Also didn't love the 10am check out time, I could have used an extra hour, but we made it work!
