Bradshaw (4/5): Not impressed. - Lodge was ok but there were issues The hot tub had a scum line and lid not attractive to look when open and needs replacing. There was hardly any crockery and apart from three saucepans cooking utensils were invisible to the human eye. Screws were loose and were tightened by us. In the second bedroom there are four screws screwed from the inside of the wardrobe and protuding into the room resulting in any inquisitive child being hurt. The double mattress is so lumpy in places it is impossible to lie with the duvet and pillows needing to be thrown In the skip. We tried to contact the owner but had no response to leaving a text message and another line just cut out. The reception door was locked whenever we tried to gain assess to discuss these issues. This is certainly a place we would never recommend which we are sorry about as it promises to be a great if things like this are addressed.

Kelvin (8/5): Couldn't wish for better - It is situated in its own quite grounds, with a large lake. Very pleasant outlook, a mile or two from Pickering. Very clean. Has its own clubhouse situated away from the lodges. Nothing not to like

Karen (10/5): Great stay - Everything was perfect!!The lodge was immaculate as usual. Everything you could need for yr stay. The hot tub was fantastic and lovely and warm. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and the drinks and meals in Spencers were great and good prices. Definitely recommend and will return.

Jacquiwilkinson (9/5): Pickering Lodges - What a beautiful place. Couldn't ask for a better lodge. Clean and well equipped. Lovely staff. Could have watched the birds on the lake all day!
Patricia (10/5): Had a really lovely stay at Pickering Lodges and the steam railway was close by. - The lodge was in a private setting and we really enjoyed our stay, it’s a shame the weather wasn’t a little warmer, but that’s the UK for you. The steps up to the lodge, I had difficulty accessing them as I have arthritis in both knees, but the owner informed us there was one lodge with a concrete slope up to it, so if we were to go back there that’s the one I would book.

Adrienne (10/5): Lovely lodge and great hot tub! - The lodge was fabulous and well equipped. The hot tub was superb, and was checked every day to make sure it was safe. Nothing.
Luci (9/5): Lodges - It was nice and quiet; everyone appeared respectful to other residents. Food onside was really good. Heating worked well (stayed in other lodges/cottages/caravans which have been freezing) Kitchen had everything you needed to cook (we decided to eat out every night as it was a holiday for mum too) Very close to flamingoland. In-between York, Scarborough and Whitby. Dog fields down the road and a track road to walk the dogs. Park for the kids. Hot tub was nice and a new one compared to the photos you see online. Nothing that can't be resolved independently. Take some extra towels/swimwear. Take a couple of blankets.

Julie (9/5): The lodge we have been too before and is clean and tidy. Enjoyable stay. - Location and lodge were very good. Very quiet and clean. Bed was very comfy. We needed peace and quiet after loosing my brother few weeks before and we got exactly that. The pond and view were lovely. More cooking utensils and cooking trays and bowls. Some people don’t like to always have to go out for meals. I am however always prepared as this is common and take emergency items with me.
