Guest Reviews
- Michelle (10/5): -
- brian (1/5): Not going back and advise anyone else not to go. - Nice location It was not particularly clean. The shower was filthy. The lounge carpet was tatty in places and worn. The cooker hood was cracked. They had really strange insulation on the bedroom wall. It was dust magnet.
Overall such a poor experience that we only stayed one night instead of the two that we booked.
- Thomson (7/5): - It was pleasant
- Andis (9/5): -
- Jyoti (3/5): Not very happy - Nothing much good but is close to beach Because dishes, air fryer, oven all were dirty. Property was not that much clean.
- Angela (8/5): Was good place to stay and host very helpful and friendly - Whoever used the flat before us didnt clean the dishes or pots which was not down to the host as they had put them in cupboard as if they had been done
- Shane (4/5): - The place was freezing even with heaters on, it was echoy and disnt sleep due to the wind whistling through the walls. We unfortunately did stay when storm Dave hit but the house seems very uninsulated.
The bed was uncomfortable and strings poked up. Bedding was rough.
There was limited stuff in kitchen.
- Wayne (3/5): -
- raymond (7/5): Did the job - Spacious for me has a solo traveler Not a criticism but parking not easy
- Charlie (10/5): -
- CharlyRaeanne (10/5): - Had everything we needed and plenty of space. Overall nice and clean.

- Colin (7/5): -
- Dave (8/5): - Clean and tidy. Decor not to my taste and a bit stark
- Andrew (8/5): If I am back in the area, I would definitely check availability with this property. - Nice looking flat, very clean with plenty of room. Parking could be an issue during busy periods e.g. Viking Festival. On the top floor, so could be an issue with mobility or heavy baggage
- Dave (8/5): Family reunion - Location. Clean. Cooperation with owner. Will be a great place Bed was very uncomfortable. Tired in places.
- Amy (8/5): - Flat was in a handy location and had the amenities required for a short stay. No major issues that put us off.
- Kae (9/5): -
- Sharon (10/5): We had a great weekend in Largs - Great location

- Lynn (1/5): Weekend From Hell - At arriving at the flat we realised that it was on the Top Floor 4 landings up which was not mentioned on the information given about the accomodation if i knew that i would not have booked it due to my elderly mum at 83 having mobility issues and Greg the owner knew that as i mentioned it on a text to him several weeks before our stay.
I then realised there was no Sofa bed for me to sleep on as mentioned on the Booking.Com website.
It said there was 2 but there wasnt even 1 False Advertising...
I then phoned Greg the owner who said there was no sofa bed where i was but there was one in the downstairs flat he owned that someone was in just to rub it in.
I couldnt sleep on the sofa too small and the armrests were too hard for my neck to rest on.
Greg was extremely rude and condescending and totally unhelpful on the phone.
The reply i got was ' What do you want me to do about it'!!
He did nothing to rectify the situation not even an apology he couldnt care less.
I ended up sleeping on a 2inch thick mattress from a campbed/ sunlounger on the livingroom floor as i was too tall for the camp bed which was shocking.
I am 57 and 5ft 10 tall and sleeping on the floor!!!
I did not sleep at all and my poor Mum was stressed out and couldnt sleep either.
We decided to cut our stay short by 1 day as i couldnt spend another night on the floor
The weekend away was totally ruined and it was a treat for my mum from me
It was a total shambles and my mum was upset as i was and Greg couldnt care less.
And the outside so called Garden was shocking 2 broken steps and 6 wooden pallets which was covering big holes in the ground to walk along to the artificial grass for my dog to do the toilet.
I nearly fell holding my dog on it as her paws and legs would have been hurt walking on it.
I would not recommend anyone to stay here or book through Booking.Com again
It was a Case of hes got his money and dosent care.
I Complained to Booking.
- Toni (9/5): -
- Elaine (8/5): - Clean accomodation.
.Location was great. It would have been helpful to have instructions for the TV.
- Gibson (10/5): - Well presented
- Magalie (8/5): Agréable ! - La situation proche du centre de Largs, facilité d’accès, propriétaire disponible Pas de thé ni de café
Lavabo trop petit pour nous, nous avons un peu aspergé l’eau autour!
- Laura (10/5): -
- Dinah (1/5): Dreadful that all I have to say - Absolutely nothing, place was dirty, old milk left in the fridge, also fridge filled with flys, walls where all plastic to cover god knows what’s behind them, was going to cook something in the grill, but opened that & was filled with lard!!!!! Back garden!!!! What back garden wooden pallets lol had the dog with me wouldn’t let him out there, absolutely disgusting Everything
- Adrian (10/5): -
- Iona (10/5): 10/10, would stay again - everything, clean, had everything you would need, great communication from staff nothing
- Helen (8/5): Very good -
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Angela (8/5): 4 night stay - The groubd floor flat was clean and tidy. We found the bed quite comfortable, and even though the quilt was on the thinner side, it was warm. Greg messaged with key code once the flat was accessible. Nardine ice cream was right at the bottom of the road, which we used as a point to get us back to the flat.
Might be useful to leave pamphlets for the tv setup as we did struggle with it. Overall, it was a good stay. At top of a hill and on road parking. I thought when it said parking, it meant off road. Though my car was fine parked on road. The flat is near traffic lights. Overall this did NOT spoil our stay.
- Gillian (9/5): Superb - Nice view a couple of problems but overall great
- Michael (9/5): Superb - Good location
Not that far from the seafront
- Barbutu (9/5): Excellent staying! - The host was approachable, very polite and helpful. The flat is clean, good utilities and very comfortable.
- Carolina (10/5): Weekend in Largs excellent apartment. - The apartment was lovely.
Had everything you needed and in a great location, only minutes away from all amenities.
Very dog friendly, as is Largs and Millport which we visited on the ferry.
Loved our view from the bay window in the living room, and so did our dog Bueno 🐕
Greg, our host, was very accommodating, letting us check in early and check out later.
Excellent communication, with easy check-in information and parking on the street.
We would 100% return. Nothing.
- Kenneth (8/5): It was what I expected - It served its purpose. Polyester duvet, poor mattress.
- Brian (9/5): Superb - it was very quiet, nice view from living room window, the place was nice and clean. all good
- Paul (9/5): I would definitely stay again if I go to Largs. - It is a scruffy entrance but the apartment I stayed was really nice and everything you need. Only negative thing is the entrance of the road but no issue really.
- Janice (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kirsty (10/5): Lovely peaceful stay for my assistance dog and I - Cosy apartment and equipped with everything you could possibly need. Convenient for ferry terminal to Cumbrae, town centre, station and pencil monument. Lovely coastal walks nearby, Greg the owner is friendly and accommodating. Thoroughly recommend and would be happy to return Nothing
- Mary (10/5): Exceptional - Flat was very clean and in a great location it had everything you needed and more The only thing I didn't like was the weather I picked the wrong weekend
- Doris (8/5): Very good - Love Largs as a destination the ,the location on busy thourough fare directions not what they say ,photo not appropriate , Although house modern ,entrance to flat not secure ,there is a back court also back entrance not. secure
- Duff (9/5): Was pleasurable -
- Harmanpreet (8/5): Very good -
- Ellen (7/5): Good -
- John (10/5): Comfortable and sunny weather, perfect place - Was so homely and comfortable and such a quiet place and only a couple of minutes walk to waterfront. I couldn’t fault anything
- Marelle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brooke (10/5): Exceptional - Greg the host was brilliant with his communication and help. The flat is beautifully decorated and situated in a perfect spot with fantastic views of the hills. Me and my family + our dog had a fantastic stay and will definitely be staying here in any of our future trips to largs. 10/10
- D (8/5): Excellent location and value for money - Very enjoyable stay at Moorburn Heights. Close to Largs centre. On-street parking outside but better to park a little further away as the road is narrow outside.
- James (5/5): Reasonable value for money - Positives: good comms, clean, well equipped, convenient location
Negatives: Hob was cracked, bed too short for someone over 6ft and the sofa wasn’t very comfortable. Overall finish not brilliant
- Leszek (8/5): Exactly what I needed. Clean, within walking distance from town centre. -
- Fiona (10/5): Great little flat close to all amenities and beach - Great flat. Fully equipped with lots of little extras which made our stay even better. Very clean Nothing
- Steele (8/5): Good location - Location Stairs to flat. No door to separate lounge from hallway. Hob was badly cracked .
- Pieush (9/5): Leisure time @Largs - Undoubtedly, the apartment is amazing with good facilities. The description said.
Beach view. Ah.. it's quite far from the beach.
- Maciej (9/5): Superb -
- Mccallum (9/5): Great location and great value for money would definitely stay again - Location Nothing all good except we did not see greg the owner
- Alec (10/5): everything was good - great flat everything was good
- George (8/5): Very good -
- Pamela (10/5): We enjoyed our stay, 5 minutes from the town and the seafront. - Looking at the sea from the bedroom window 😊
- Kathryn (8/5): Great location for what we needed and had all we wanted. friendly communication with owner. - easy access, friendly communication to get in. property as described and good value for what we paid. Beds need mattress covers on them. Oven and air fryer were dirty.
- Catherine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Koye (10/5): Time at Largs for the Gathering, JudoScotland - Great location, lovely efficient space, comfortable, quiet, and hidden away. This was my camp during my stay in Largs for the Gathering, a 2 day Judo workshop by JudoScotland. The house had everything I needed, it was quite close to the train station and the national sports centre. I think it was the calming effect I got from the house that I loved the most. It also gave a good view of the Church of Scotland clock tower. I think (and I did mention to Greg - the host) that the pictures of the property on the website do not do justice to the house. I've tried to add some better ones. Hopefully, this helps to show how lovely the place is.
- Grant (8/5): Very good - Convenient location to walk to town Very uncomfortable sofa very hard.
Entrance downstairs very scruffy and unappealing.
Plastic tape on floor and on bedside lamp holding it together. Bedroom door handle loose and screws came out.
Property should not be advertised as beach front as a long way from the sea. Bed mattress was foam and sagged on one side.
- Simon (2/5): Largs and especially Millport is lovely, we had some lovely walks and drives. - It was pretty clean to be fair, though the outside areas and hall, central staircase is diabolical. The flat itself has gaffer tape on the floor in the kitchen area, the bedroom door doesn’t close and swings back open, the front window doesn’t lock, there’s old food which I presume from other guests left in cupboards and fridge.
There’s some salad cream in the fridge which is a strange yellow colour, so heaven knows how long it’s been there?
The sofa is extremely uncomfortable too, and the tv is far to small as for what’s expected now a days.
Oh and there’s a huge crack along the cooking hob. It had been cleaned generally, so some efforts are made. And there are some good touches like having a washing machine and extra charger cable availability.
- Anna-marie (9/5): Superb - Lovely comfortably home from home, lots of thoughtful touches to improve our visit as well as everything we needed.
Great location for the town centre and beach.
- Amanda (9/5): Great find!! - Such a lovely apartment. So cosy and homely. Very clean and warm. I have no bad things to say about it it had everything we needed. Nothing
- Siobhan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alan (6/5): Modern well equipped Appartment in Seaside Town. - Well equipped Appartment in the seaside town of Largs. Easy to walk to restaurants and shops. Good quality although compact Bathroom. Appartment was in a poorly maintained and scruffy Building. The Settees were uncomfortable and need replacing.
Only one Red Wine glass and a Toaster that didn't work.
- Harley (7/5): Good -
- Elaine (9/5): Superb -
- Brandon (10/5): Exceptional - Views off hills were nice, location was quite and close to takeaways and shops
- Caroline (8/5): Very good -
- Alana (9/5): Nice property - We loved our stay.comfortable bed.loved the fireplace The couch was too hard. Also felt the tv was too small for a good size living room.
- Eileen (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, comfortable & well equipped, great host.
- Simon (9/5): Annual Largs break - The flat was excellent and very clean. Great location and very quiet. Lovely views to the hills and to the coast. Chatting with the host was easy. And he responded quickly to messages. Will definitely return again Was a bit of a hike getting up the stairs but great for the leg muscles. There is parking on the street but as you are right next to traffic lights there are double yellows and other cars so you sometimes don't get right outside. Not a major issue though
- Shareen (9/5): Superb -
- Mcnealis (10/5): Absolutely incredible - Greg the property owner was there when i arrived and was a really nice guy, that was up for a chat, i said i’d arrive between 3-4 and turned up just after 3 and had to come back half an hour later as he was just finishing up, due to this he extended my checkout a couple hours, the place was absolutely spotless and had a really nice homely feel about it. The bed was fantastic and the living room was really nice to just relax with the tv that had a multiple choice of options to watch, would recommend to absolutely anyone and will definitely stay again!
- David (10/5): Larging it up in Largs for sweetie money - Pound for pound the beat value AirBnB I've ever had the pleasure of staying with. Absolutely superb, I can't recommend this highly enough.
Greg is so attentive and informative, very switched on.
The property has been decorated to a high standard and is maintained to high standards.
There's everything you need for a short term holiday, including oven, hob, washing machine, plates cups etc - There's even 2 x house coats in the bathroom. Shower is really good, very very good, fountain shower and also a smaller head power shower (plenty of scoosh doesn't lack power) TV has been mentioned on previous reviews and I say BS - I wear glasses and comfortably watched it sat on the couch, anyone saying it's too small needs to go find a 12" black and white portable from the 80s.
Struggling to find any negative comments, but if there was one its the sofa cushions could be plumper (sit down slowly) and when we stayed there the bedroom door latch didn't keep the door closed, but that's it.
We absolutely loved the accommodation and the service we got, when you consider the costs of the place and the high standard there its a no brainer.
100% recommend this as a quality place to stay 👌 Sofa cushions might have been plumper
Bedroom door latch needed attention
- Lisa (10/5): Very cozy little home from home was very surprised at all the little touches ☺️ - Lovely flat with all amenities needed very cozy and my kids loved the extra touch of some games and puzzles also host was very understanding that my daughter was unwell and let us check out later great place to stay will return again
- Caroline (5/5): Not what I expected, the pictures are misleading - It was easy enough to find and not a bad location The decor wasn't good. There seemed ro be some sort of DIY bathroom extension and the window into the bedroom from bathroom seemed to be loose. If you turned the bathroom light on at night it lit up the bedroom. The carpet was laid in patches, not all light bulbs worked. The key lock box was places high up on the wall so you have to lean over a 3rd floor bannister rail to open it. The bedroom window had an awful draft coming through it so it was freezing in the bedroom. The house seemed like a building project. Says it's suitable for a family but it is not. The bedroom door doesn't even close, it just swings open. There is weird sponge glued to the bedroom wall
- Nina (9/5): Superb - Everything had been thought of. Lovely little apartment.
- Amy (8/5): Great flat to be in central Largs. - There was everything we needed for our stay from plates to an airfryer :). Everything was very clean. Great communication from the host before arrival. Easy access to the flat through the key store.
Great Central location for access to large high street. My kids had a fantastic sleep on the bed. The pull out sofa was easy to set up but unfortunately I didn't have such a great sleep, my husband who loves to camp outdoors with just his sleeping bag wasn't as bothered but there wasn't much support in the mattress.
- Carole (7/5): Good value for money -
- Hugh (10/5): A comfortable, beautiful furnished accommodation in great location. - Beautiful decor and great location
- Heather (10/5): Exceptional -
- Heather (10/5): Exceptional -
- Faye (10/5): Exceptional - Keys found within the keybox and easy access to property. Everything was good.
- Stephen (7/5): Good -
- Karen (10/5): Lovely wee modern, clean warm flat. Comfy bed and great shower. Host was really easy to deal with. - Just a perfect wee flat 2nd floor 😂
- Thomas (9/5): Superb -
- Stephen (9/5): Clean, quiet, and cosy - On a quiet street. Very cosy apartment that was clean and new. It had everything we needed as a home from home. It was a short walk to the promenade and a nice tapas round the corner,
- Lynn (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely, clean, comfortable and great value for money this little apartment was just great. Nothing
- Anita (9/5): Good Little Base to Explore Largs - The flat was lovely, well equipped and clean. There are big windows with pleasant views in bedroom and living room. The flat was far enough away from the seafront not to be disturbed by the festivities of the Viking Festival. The bathroom 'door' was just a token gesture. I prefer a little more privacy when I'm on the loo.
- Fiona (8/5): Great value and location - Location was great fab kitchen and bedroom facilities - the host was helpful in the run up to our stay The bathroom door/shutter was a bit of a faff think there’s a knack to it -
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (9/5): Well kitted out apartment for our two nights exploring Largs and surrounding area - Close to town centre, clean and new feel, helpful owner, ace shower Young children + folding bathroom door = lots of pushing and pulling
