Guest Reviews
- Mark (9/5): - Lovely conversion everything you needed Lights a bit dim in main room
- Campbell (8/5): - Clean, bright and spacious and Lottie was great advocate, excellent customer service For arrival it was good Friday
Could have had, some basic, tea, Milk and Sugar
- Catherine (8/5): - Friendly welcome, comfy bed, pub next door did grest indian food. I would have liked curtains or blinds over back patio doors as i felt overlooked at night.
The cottage seemed to be in the pub car park
- Zak (5/5): - I liked the bedroom roof, it was cozy Noisy boiler with trapped air inside making a loud squeal noise through the boiler and bedroom radiator that would come and go more often then not it was there, empty crushed pill left on side, lots of cobwebs and dust, dog poo bag dumped in plant pot around back and some poo skids in the toilet bowl prior to any of us using the bathroom
- David (10/5): Ideal new years break! - Great little cottage, ideal for the two of us and our two dogs. We ate in the restaurant at petrifies, and at another very nice local pub 2 minutes walk away. Plenty of local walks for the dogs and convenient for trips out too. Staff were excellent - friendly and helpful. Cleanliness was spot on and very well equipped cottage.
- Nabilah (9/5): We had an amazing time at Mayfield, the hosts were very warm and welcoming. The cottage came with alot of extra amenitie - Cosy and tranquil, really good nights sleep as beds were of very good quality. Spacious rooms and cosy living space meant enough room for families to enjoy time together. The latch in the bathroom was loose so every time the door opened the latch was pushed up and then down by the draft. Sounded like a thud each time.
- Kim (10/5): Great stay definitely go again! - Did not have breakfast but it was available, hosts were brilliant had a great time, just the weather was not on our side!
Beautiful accommodation great courtyard for the dog, washing machine if needed take away Indian a few steps away I wish it had a few shops nearby but other than that we had three pubs to choose from
- Tina (10/5): A much needed relaxing weekend in a lovely property. - It was ideal. Lovely presented. Just our style. Great amenities and clean. It was a lovely place to come back to after a day out exploring and easy to relax in. Nothing.
- Martyna (10/5): -
- Diane (9/5): - We loved the cottage and all it's amenities. Very spacious and has everything you need. Beds very comfortable and walk in shower was fantastic! Nothing

- Annie (8/5): Very good - Lovely little cottage in beautiful village.Very dog friendly with walks across the road to the fields.
Everything you need and more.
Hotel with garden a few yds away for breakfast and evening meals.2 pubs close by.Staff very friendly and accommodating.
Would recommend to anyone. Maybe a mirror in the back bedroom but door to go outside was great for the dogs.
I would suggest a hand rail outside the front door for us oap's 😆.
Doors quite hard to open
- John (10/5): Mayfield review - Very new and fresh. Safe for the dogs. Very comfortable beds and living area.
- Elaine (9/5): Superb -
- Anthony (10/5): Brilliant stay we had a lovely time cottage was clean well thought out and homely. Staff friendly. - The location was excellent great facilities for dog lovers nice walks plenty places to eat out and lovely hotel opposite cottage to have a drink warm friendly welcome from all staff. There was nothing we didnt like excellent all round
- John (9/5): Beautiful cottage - Very well presented property with everything we needed for our stay in the Cotswolds. Comfortable bed and settee and excellent 55 smart TVs with good steaming apps. Well equipped kitchen and great walking in shower. One of the best properties we've stayed in. Would have preferred the restaurant to have a wider choice of pub food rather than just Indian.
- Susannah (10/5): Lovely and spacious, very comfortable and fantastic staff. Located next to hotel and they can provide full cooked breakf - Lovely and spacious, very comfortable and fantastic staff. Located next to hotel and they can provide full cooked breakfast which we ate in the cottage. Has own car park space right outside which is great. Only improvement is mirror needed to be able to dry hair and do make up, as only one is in the bathroom. Which I believe the owner has already brought on our feedback. Really couldn’t fault the cottage.
