- Isabella (10/5): Comfortable, convenient and excellent value for money. - I travel frequently up and down the whole of the UK and Mansfield rooms is a fantastic find.
Just into Scotland and a five minute walk from the rail station it was everything I needed, and I would certainly stay there again.
It was quiet and warm with many personal and interesting touches to the decor. The beds were extremely comfortable , there was a great shower, but I luxuriated in a wonderful huge bath.Everything was immaculately clean and well presented and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The host was welcoming and friendly and couldn’t do enough to make me comfortable. First class, and great value for money!! It was all excellent!
- Tilly (10/5): Just fantastic - Beautiful mansion. Large room with separate large bathroom. Jo is a fantastic host, very helpfull. The breakfast is amazing, so much choice. When we left we even got a present from her. She gives good information about the area and the hihglights to visit.

I loved all the art work and the way our rooms were decorated. I really like the way that Jo has made her home really beautiful but also really practical. Nothing was too much trouble for Jo. Our breakfasts were absolutely delicious with very good quality ingredients. We would recommend this b and b and hope to use it again. Nothing!
- susan (9/5): I had the best night’s sleep, wonderful breakfast and good company what more do you need. - The breakfast was wonderful and Jo went out of her way to help us and make us feel at home . Jo is a lovely warm person who has great plans for the house and gardens and we wish her luck.

- Toni (10/5): A wonderful property with an equally wonderful host! - I cannot thank Jo enough for our stay. The rooms were immaculate, the bedding was beautiful, and the beds so comfy. The bathroom was again immaculate. I would highly recommend anyone to stay at Mansefield Rooms. The breakfast was excellent quality and you could have as much or as little as you wanted, so no waste. Les pièces sont très spacieuses, décorées avec beaucoup de goût, le jardin est charmant. Le petit déjeuner offre des produits locaux et frais dans une démarche éco-responsable. C'est notre séjour préféré pendant notre voyage.
- Frances (9/5): - Mansfield Rooms was a delightful place to stay. Jo could not have been more helpful, we loved the character of the accommodation and breakfast was delicious, the porridge being the best ever tasted apparently! Location was perfect for our brief visit to the town.
- Mariko (9/5): - Quiet location, easy to find and park. With my large and heavy suitcase, the rooms upstairs are not easy to reach (although the host helped me).
- Helen (10/5): We had a lovely stay, highly recommend this BnB, especially for families - The BnB is gorgeous and is in a lovely quiet spot, the family room was excellent for anyone travelling with children, absolutely enormous! Jo was a fantastic hostess. Nothing to do with the BnB, but just a warning that the food options in the local town aren’t great, especially on a Sunday, worth pre booking a table at a local pub if you are looking for a good evening meal.
- Joanne (10/5): I don’t often write reviews. I can hand on heart say I felt I had to for Jo as staying at the Mansefield Rooms was the b - Absolutely EVERYTHING!

- Tina (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely little overnight stay in Lockerbie on the way back down to Yorkshire from our family visit on the Black Isle, Mansfield Rooms booked on trip adviser, price was £115 including a full breakfast ( mine GFree and expertly done by Jo the proprietor)
Would definitely recommend.
- Crowfoot (10/5): Just wonderful - Jo couldn't do more us, as a family of 6, a last minute booking and Jo opened her door to us with open arms. So supportive. Highly recommend.

Breakfast was cooked to order and really good quality, tasty ingredients. Jo is so friendly and welcoming, we felt instantly right at home. The added advantage to our teenage son was having a room to himself!
- Frances (10/5): 5 star luxury accommodation with incredibly accommodating host. - The property was the definition of quiet luxury, even down to the comfort of the bath mats in the very spacious bathroom. Everything was so comfortable, especially the bed. The room was spacious and well decorated. The bathroom had brilliant facilities with a massive tub and great water pressure in the shower.

Room was extremely spacious, lots of storage areas and comfortable bed. Breakfast was absolutely amazing, I felt like I waddled out afterwards! Jo is a very gracious and friendly host, she was easily approachable and extremely keen to be on hand for any queries/issues. Only (literally) downside - no TV! There breakfast was excellent and we were spoilt for choice. The host was on hand to great us gave local suggestions for us too. All in all a perfect place to stay and would certainly recommend and return to. Thank you Nothing, it was all awesome.
- Ian (10/5): You will fail to find anywhere better. - This was my 2nd visit to Mansefield Rooms. This time though I was returning home from 13 days work where I had stayed in 5 separate hotels. The room and the bed in the Mansefield was by far the most comfortable. Jo’s communication is spot on and the early Saturday morning breakfast was both excellent and appreciated given I was leaving early to drive home. Whether you require a very convenient night stopover or a longer break to explore the local area, I can not rate Jo and her fab house highly enough. You will absolutely not be disappointed. zilch 🤣
- Ciara (10/5): Very relaxing with great host and delicious breakfast. - Jo was a fantastic host and very welcoming. My room was huge, as was the bathroom. Everything was spotless. The property is extremely handy for the railway station.

We really liked the environmental touches - organic food, quality toiletries, etc. We'll definitely stay again. The bathroom is not en-suite but, as we had the run of the first floor, this wasn't a problem.

- Amanda (10/5): Beautiful house with a huge bedroom and a very friendly welcome - Handy location next to shops, cafe and train station.

- Richard (10/5): Excellent! - We loved our overnight stay - the room(s) were very spacious and sympathetically decorated, the beds comfortable. Jo was an exceptional host, friendly, accommodating and she provided a delicious breakfast with plenty of choice. We loved the thoughtful details and would definitely recommend a stay! Thank you Jo!
- Irene (10/5): Wonderful stay at Jo's beautiful property. - Jo's house is simply wonderful. Very spacious, lovely decorated, equipped with everything we needed and with a wonderful, beautiful garden. Jo was also a wonderful host, and provided us with everything we needed (refreshments, toys for my kid, information about places to eat and things to do...). The breakfast was fantastic, too, with lots of options and very tasty. I would absolutely stay again and recommend it without reservation. I liked everything.
- David (10/5): A refreshing change from cookie-cutter hotels - Lovely room, fantastic breakfast that set us up for the whole day ahead, and a lovely host to boot. Food take-aways, pubs and a local corner shop all nearby. There wasn't much to not like at all! On the _very_ specific occasion it would have been nice to have a TV because it was the England/Netherlands game, but that was a one-off and in general it's better to not have a TV in a place like this...and you can always use iPlayer or something anyway (and the host uses Zen for internet, so it actually works properly!) :-)
- Robert (10/5): Previous people's high ratings proved 100% right - Jo has created a super place for a stay. She seems to have thought about everything that guests would want. Spacious accommodation and comfortable. Great breakfast. Jo went out of her way, calling the local inn while we unpacked to ensure that we could be squeezed in for a late evening meal. Lockerbie on a Tuesday evening was less vibrant than we expected, but that's not Jo's fault! The barperson at the local inn confirmed that Mondays and Tuesdays were pretty flat in Lockerbie.
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful property with a friendly host .
Delicious breakfast Wished we had stayed there longer !
- Maggie (10/5): Beautiful house accessible to motorway with high comfort and a great host. - Exceptional host and a beautifully refurbished old stone house. The welcome was wonderful. The rooms are large and well-equipped. The bathroom has a massive bath, which was a bonus. The breakfast was very tasty with quality local ingredients. Nothing
- Elle (9/5): Superb -
- Karen (10/5): A fabulous stop off for us on our way to Edinburgh. Jo is an excellent host. - A fabulous breakfast both in choice , quality and amount. Fresh fruit, large choice of jams, marmalade, honey and maple syrup. We sat in the bay window overlooking the garden and, watching the birds which was very relaxing. The bathroom has Scottish hair and body products. Plenty of lovely towels. The bedroom was really large with a table and chairs to sit around. Super comfy mattress on the bed and pristine white bedding. We slept exceptionally well. Plenty of literature about local attractions. Tea, coffee and biscuits in the room. Lovely touches like an electric blanket just in case the weather became cold.
It was chilly and JO kindly put the heating on for us.
Would most certainly stay there again. All good
- Ann (10/5): Excellent stopover on route to the Highlands - Much more than your average B&B, it was a real pleasure to stay at here. The bedroom and bathroom were both very spacious and decorated in a style befitting a Victorian villa with many authentic and attractive features. Jo, the owner, was so welcoming making me feel very much at home. Breakfast was all you could wish for. Although the weather didn't allow for it during my visit, there was a large garden for guests to use, and the location was very convenient for walking to shops and restaurants. Liked everything
- Ed (10/5): Exceptional - Fabulous period house, sympatheticly renovated very tastefully, period furniture was nice to see. Very comfortable period style modern bed. Bed linens were superior quality.. Jo was a fantastic host, full of information and breakfast was excellent.
