Guest Reviews
- Harrison (10/5): -
- Judy (9/5): Short holiday visit - Super position near the town and places we planned to visit. Cottage comfortable with nice garden and breakfast fscilities as discribed. It was not possible to sign into a wifi connection. Not a major issue for us as just on a two day visit. But it would have been good to know in advance that mobile roaming would be the only connection available.n
- Steph (10/5): - It is beautiful, comfy and has everything anyone could need. The wood fire added plenty of warmth and homeliness, gluten free food and plenty of tea and coffee were provided. We only had 1 night! I wanted to stay longer
- Andrew (8/5): Very good facilities and very welcoming - Clean and easy to use

House was very clean and tidy and bathroom was lovely. Robes were an added surprise and location of house was perfect. It was a pleasure to meet and chat with Arlene - she was very friendly and welcoming.

- Delete (10/5): Cornish Cottage in Burra - A humble Cornish cottage from past times but lovingly renovated with a modern and immaculate bathroom. The garden is beautiful and we only wish we had stayed for much longer Honestly we loved this beautifully maintained little house.
- Pasquale (8/5): Perfect Country Getaway - Arlene was a fantastic host, she was able to answer all my questions and to accommodate any requests i had. The location of the cottage is very close to the town centre. The property had a very generous sized backyard where the children were able to explore and spend time outdoors. It's so easy to forget how peaceful and quiet the country life really is. The breakfast provisions were more than generous with a great selection to choose from all provided by the amazing Arlene. The cottage was clean with comfortable beds and offered the perfect country weekend away we were all looking for!
- Rachelle (9/5): - Great location in an historical gem of a town.

- Julie (10/5): Gorgeous clean and comfortable cottage with lots of extras - Kooringa was a beautiful comfortable cottage with a lovely host called Arlene. There was absolutely everything we needed for a great stay. The bed was very comfortable with electric blankets plus a split system in the bedroom as well as the loungeroom so we were toasty warm. The shower was also great, roomy, spotless and with little extras including a shower cap, electric heater, hair dryer etc
Arlene also provided cereal, bread, butter, condiments, milk and juice for a nice breakfast and the bread was so nice we had 4 pieces each.
There were so many extras including local information, magazines and books to read and when we had a shower there were comfy robes to put on.
The entire home was spotless and the gardens were also lovely and it would have been nice to have had more time to sit and relax. We will definitely stay again next time we are travelling through Burra. Everything was perfect.

- Grant (9/5): Good choice in Burra - Kooringa Cottage is a good choice for a group. Two bedrooms in the house and a third bedroom with toilet in a separate building out the back.
Living areas are large and comfortable. Kitchen is beautifully equipped.
Is it 5 star ? No, it is rustic, clean, comfortable and close to the town centre ( 3 minute drive or comfortable walk).
Pricing is reasonable and I would use it again.
- Tracey (10/5): Country hospitality at its best - Everything! We've stayed here twice to walk the Heysen Trail which passes right past the Cottage. Our group of walkers enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea in the garden which was a perfect setting for a group to sit & relax. Our host has been very welcoming & prepared scones/tea/coffee and set the garden up for us with chairs & tables. Country hospitality at its best.

- James (9/5): A nice clean cottage with all the amenities and a great bathroom - Beautiful clean cottage with an enchanting garden not too close to the main town just enough for a nice walk Might need to improve a coffee wasn’t the best. Everything you could need was in the kitchen if you wished to cook.

Being able to park undercover overnight was greatly appreciated as the nights were cold, but we were nice and cosy inside.
Would definitely book this home again!

- Smith (9/5): Charming rustic cottage with all the comforts of home. Warm lounge log fire, bedroom heating, electric blankets .. all y - Warm lounge log fire, bedroom heating, electric blankets, great selection of breakfast supplies.
Everything supplied. Good location. 3rd sleeping area is separate from main cottage, it has it’s own heating and cooling with space for (if needed your own blowup single mattress
and bedding). There is a toilet next to the third bedroom. 3rd bedroom is not a negative but be aware if your configuration of families, children might not work by not being under the main cottage roof, for us it worked as a private family space.

- Brendan (10/5): Perfect accommodation! - The owner of the cottage was so accommodating and very understanding. By letting us check in early as we had to be at a wedding, and we need to get ready. It was a perfect and cosy.cottage with great heritage and everything that you needed for an enjoyable stay. Has been renovated just perfectly. Great outdoor garden space was also in a great location where you could easily walk to the main street of the lovely township of Burrra. That we didn't spend more nights here due ro the wedding we had to attend and that iwe did not spend more time at the accommodation and in the lovely garden just being able to enjoy the rlaxing vibes that it has to offer.
We have already decided we are going back to enjoy this great cottage a bit more as thats they only thing we could not do
- Jan (8/5): Pleasant and surprising. - A cute little cottage that took us back in time. Comfy beds and a very friendly lady to deal with. A lovely garden and surprisingly big back yard with great breakfast supplies. As we were a group of friends we were surprised that one of the bedrooms was outside which separated us and made her feel uncomfortable.
- Barry (10/5): Exceptional - The thick stone cottage walls that helped make it remarkably quiet. Excellent for time spent on the layback chair in the reading room with a book.
The abundance of varied breakfast serial supplies. We smiled when we saw 4 types of long lasting milk - Oat, Almond, coconut + besides refrigerated milk and juice. Plenty of bread fresh and frozen in case we needed it. Many tea varieties and a nice coffee for the new coffee machine.
There were at least 5 seating areas in the huge back garden and outside toilet.
Thanks Arlene for the chocolate Easter eggs.
The eat out places were numerous for the town. Nothing comes to mind, oh except ( not that important these days) no internet.
