Guest Reviews

- Þórðardóttir (9/5): Exelent - Old but nice The stairs
- Rui & Ana (7/5): - Historic old building, good location, friendly staff, reasonable breakfast.
Very good beds and pillows.
Only hotel in Iceland during this trip ( total of 12) with dark blinds for white nights !!
It has an excellent attached restaurant Our room was extremely small as well the bathroom. Shower has a plastic curtain that sticks to your body. Tiny sink and no space for bottles or even brushtooh.
Although we know they use spring hot water for bathroom, the smell of sulfur is difficult to tolerate
- ingrid (9/5): Would highly recommend this hotel and restaurant - Nicely maintained antique hotel
Restaurant was very unique and lovely restaurant food was delicious
Dimo was one of the very best servers we have ever had! Great job! The hot tub needs to be cleaned it had a lot of algae and the stairs were slippery

- Vilhjálmur (10/5): - Fantastic hotel. As an Icelander I can honestly say Hótel Tindastóll delivers a warm, traditional Icelandic hospitality and top level experience. Staff is amazing, facilities clean and traditional.
- Benedikt (9/5): -
- Cathy (10/5): Charming - Charming. Walkable town. Unique restaurant with Viking vibe, artifacts and cool cave like entrance. Geothermal pool too. Stunning hospitality Very comfortable beds
- Judyt (9/5): Cuki hangulatos csendes hely, kedves kiszolgálással.

- Kerry (10/5): Lovely hotel, one of the oldest buildings in Iceland. Very friendly, helpful staff, clean hotel, lovely hot pool for use - Lovely hotel, friendly staff, very clean, lovely hot pool for use of the guests.

- Ingibjörg (5/5): I would not co - The sound insulation between rooms was poor — you could easily hear conversations and noises from neighboring rooms. Doors were constantly slamming, which made it hard to relax or get a good night’s sleep. Breakfast was a bit disappointing.

- Pétur K (9/5): - Nice and cosy with a vintage touch. Needed more selection of bread for the breakfast.
If allergic or sensitive to scented fragrances I would reconsider. I would give the hotel 10 if not for this.

- Janos (10/5): - Hotel Tindastóll was hands down the best hotel we've stayed at during our trip. Gorgeous building and rooms, with friendly and helpful staff.
The restaurant is fantastic, and I'd highly recommend trying the various drinks and spirits made in-house; our favourite was the mead made with arctic thyme.
- Olafur (8/5): -
- Eelkje (10/5): Amazing - The vibe was absolutely amazing. Felt very homey and the staff were so kind. We stayed for 3 nights but wished we stayed longer.
The bath outside was very nice aswell. The food was very good too. We have 0 complaints :) would definitely come back here

- Logan Jones (10/5): -
- María Ángeles (10/5): - It was a very cozy, clean and comfortable place.
- Barbara (9/5): - A lovely old building. Restaurant underneath was great. We had a dormer room which meant watching our heads bumping beams. We had agreed to this without realising what it meant.
- Rudy (9/5): -
- alice (6/5): - Bagno piccolo e freddo, camera piccola.
- Kevin (5/5): Old, traditional hotel in the town's center - The restaurant is excellent with good service. The location is also nice. If you like old, traditional hotel decor, this is a place that offers it. The Hotel Tindastoll is basically a good hotel with one major deficiency: the rooms are poorly soundproofed, so if your hearing is good or if you are a light-sleeper, you will have a hard time sleeping because you basically share the same acoustic space as your neighbors. Our room (#1) was also a bit dark, but that really did not matter much. Essentially, any good hotel should provide a quiet, comfortable environment for its guests to get a solid night's sleep; but the Hotel Tindastoll failed to deliver. Yes, the beds were comfortable, but I slept poorly due to the constant noise from rooms neighboring ours.
- Juris (8/5): Fine for one night. Loved the restaurant for dinner but was chaos for breakfast. - The restaurant Very small room.
- Julian (9/5): Charming historic hotel! - Breakfast, location, charm

- ilan (9/5): if in iceland, will come again to stay there - suprisingly pleasant pictoresque hotel, style 19th century, clean, pleasant, team
- Edda (9/5): - The rooms and excellent food.
- Märt EE (8/5): - Kind service, decent facilities and room Room was too hot, even though window was open, so sleep quality was low
- Mario (7/5): -

- Judy (8/5): Oldest hotel in Iceland! - Cool building with lots of history. A little noisy at times.
- Monique (7/5): - Location in little town
- Markus (8/5): -
- Benedikt (10/5): - Super bequeme Betten, sehr charmante Einrichtung, Hotpot im Innenhof
- Sigridur (10/5): -
- Mou (7/5): - Old Hotel with character Small village ,just a stopover ,but not much to do. Very basic breakfast
- Haukur (10/5): -
- Manuela (10/5): - Die Einrichtung war wunderschön retro
- Shelly (9/5): Nice experience. - Historical hotel, clean and comfortable. Great breakfast included. Nice hot springs.Nice staffs. Nil
