Guest Reviews
- Anita (9/5): Great location for a good price. - Very peaceful location was only woken by the bird song. Everything you need is there. Very comfy bed. Lovely views. Ten minutes in to the centre. Great communication. Would stay again if in the area. Nothing but would suggest a blind in the bathroom.
- Daniel (10/5): Very nice place and helpful host. -
- Chloe (8/5): I would visit again. Very comfortable for someone who needed privacy for studying. - The host made it very easy for me to enter the property. I loved the skylight with the rain hitting off it, I actually slept in the livingroom on my last night listening to the rain. The host made sure I had everything I needed and I could easily contact him if I needed too. The bed was super comfortable and the shower was lovely too. An extra toilet roll because I felt embarrassed to ask š
When I entered the BnB I could smell bananas that were going bad and found a bunch in the cupboard. Other than that everything was perfect.
- Brendan (9/5): We will try to stay there again if we return to Belfast. It was superb. - The location was perfect for us. Very quiet and safe. Near Belfast city centre. Great walks in Cave Hill park just up the road.
A dog-friendly house. There are security cameras on the road right beside where we parked out on the street and this prevented us from feeling nervous about our southern reg car.
Patrick was a superb host. Always contactable if we had a query or request. Very cheerful, friendly and positive.
The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was top class. The kitchen had everything we needed. Not much could have been better. The side-gate was a bit stiff once (and we were afraid to force it) but I imagine Patrick will rectify that.
- Shima (8/5): In general, itās a good place to stay for a night or two and the owner is very friendly. - It was in a beautiful location, close to Belfast castle. The shower was great, too. The cleanliness didnāt meet my expectations.
- Przytulski (10/5): -
- Susan (10/5): Great accommodation and hosts - Had everything we needed for our stay and the hosts were lovely
- Paolo (10/5): - Lovely! Nothing
- David (10/5): Perfect to get away and unplug! Highly recommended - private, very clean, and very quiet! n/a
- Bodunde (9/5): Pleasant - The property was very spacious and well cleaned. The host was happy to assist and checked in at least once everyday to see if we needed anything. Very nice facilities as well. Ample parking at the front of the property.
- ALFREDO (10/5): - The cottage is large and clean, in a graceful and quiet arra⦠and the owner Patrick is discreet and helpful⦠well, a perfect place to visit this beautiful city called Belfast!
- Mcmullan (10/5): Fantastic property was great to have my own space, had a great nights sleep and lovely shower. - The property is amazing, it has an amazing kitchen with all amenities including a washing machine, the bedroom is great size and the bed is amazing. The bathroom has a fantastic shower and really clean. Cant really say anything i didn't like.
- Shirley (10/5): The place to stay for a bit of privacy and you time! Recharge your batteries in a charming modern sanctuary. - Well appointed space and very well looked after. Great shower and that is coming from a tub person. We enjoyed the calm of the area while only being minutes from everywhere we wanted to be. The host is attentive, friendly and extremely professional we enjoyed our stay. We wouldnāt hesitate to stay at Cavehill Cottage again and recommend our friends to do the same. We canāt think of a single thing!
- Siobhan (8/5): Short stay. - The location of the property was very handy to our weekends entertainment. The owner was very friendly and told us if we needed anything just to give him a call. Everything we needed was already provided so there was no need to bother him. Parking is not available on the property but out on the street which was busy enough with cars already parked although we did manage to park not far away.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shirley (10/5): Can wait for our return visit! - Everything in the unit was well looked after, great shower. Street parking is interesting in Ireland. Once we know the rules it was fine.
- Jacqueline (10/5): Exceptional - It's great Nothing
- Jacqueline (10/5): Exceptional - It's was ideal for me
Piece and quite to relax Absolutely nothing
- Anna (2/5): No comment! - A suggestion to the Host: change the sheets for the next customer!
I am sorry I could not speak to him directly, but he never replied to calls or messages because he was on holiday.
We found the condition of the bed unacceptable where, evidently, the sheets used by someone else had not been changed. The very questionable choice of long-haired material for the blanket AND THE SHEETS is really unhygienic!!!
This is a pity, because the accommodation was very nice.
- Noah (10/5): Exceptional - Cute little place, it had everything we needed would definitely recommend, very clean, comfortable bed, bus station really close which makes it easy to go to the city,
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Dawn (9/5): Outstanding, quiet, safe cottage at the base of Cavehill - The location is excellent. The bed was extremely comfortable. THe kitchen had all the basics even a wee laundry machine. Coffee and tea on hand for convenience too. As well and cleaning up supplies, bath soaps, towels, any nearly anything else you need. Has a sofa bed so will be back with my child too. The host was fantastic and available for questions. The cottage is in back and has a coded locked fence so as a woman traveling alone I felt extremely safe. As a bonus there was rain on the slylight in the sitting room that lulled me into a deep sleep. Overall a wonderful experience right at the heart of the city and the base of Belfast castle and Cavehill. The only thing missing was a hair dryer. My hair is long so I skipped washing it that night. A small thing to skip in exchange for a cottage in that location, but add that and it would be simply perfect.
- Roberts (10/5): Great place. Great location. - Loved the place. All on one level, which is ideal for me because of my mobility issues. Pet friendly. My dog Angel, she loved it as well. š¶ My friend from school came for 4 days too. I hadn't seen him since 1997! It was great catching up in a relaxed & peaceful space. Highly recommend it & will most definitely be back at some point in the future. š It could have been easier for me to shower with a shower chair. Also a mop is definitely required.
- Wayne (10/5): Very nice and comfy place. Will def use it again. Hosts were particularly helpful. - Good location. Very accommodating host(s) All was great, no complaints at all.
- Martin (9/5): Friendly hostš - Fresh modern well equipped accommodation
- Nuala (10/5): Exceptional - I stayed a couple of months ago and I would highly recommend. The accommodation was very comfortable and cosy, and it was a home from home. The host was very friendly, and nothing was an issue
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional - I really enjoyed staying here with my girlfriend we had a lovely time it's worth staying here we will stay again Everything was excellent
- Martins (5/5): Fine wouldnāt again tho - Like the overall size and how place looked but was abit off hair Radom places and bed sheets used for more than one person for sure host okay but didnāt try calming damage some stuff so be careful and take pictures if u are gonna stay here Something but for the price I guess okay
- Marc (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aitken (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rhiannon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marie (9/5): Superb - Clean secure comfortable good value for money accommodation situated in a quiet residential area approx 5 miles from Belfast City centre. Good communication with host at all times. Would definitely require Google maps to locate the property. There is an oven and hob available in the kitchen but would like the use of a microwave also.
- Maxwell (6/5): Baltic... - Nice detached little unit. Very nice interior with modern decorations. Absolutely baltic, even after the owner turned up the heat. The bedroom was plenty warm in the morning but it felt like a different world in the living room. There were stains on the towels. It is outside of Belfast city so trying to get a taxi took a while. Bed was small. No TV in the bedroom.
- Chris (10/5): Excellent stay - Everything and the owner was fantastic
- Remi (10/5): Luxury suite - Great view of the mountains, exceptionally done , a hotel room does not have the level of finishes and comfort that this unit has.
