- StephenWN (10/5): Great small hotel in quiet setting - We loved the quiet setting just metres from the local rugged beach. The hotel is a beautifully renovated former farm building and has excellent modern facilities. We really appreciated Daniel's choice of classical music and cool jazz at meal times. His dinners were well cooked and we loved his quince tart. Our room would have benefitted from a mirror. We had to rely on the one in the bathroom.
- Rob (10/5): Sophisticated boutique property close to a rugged beach in its own valley - Sophisticated boutique property close to a rugged beach in its own valley. Fantastic staff who were very helpful whilst we were there with suggestions and local knowledge and after we had left when we realised we had left a few small item behind.

- Claudia (9/5): Lovely stay close to Luarca - Finca Portizuelo is a beautiful place. Nice walk to Luarca which is a charming fishing village. Excellent breakfast and had dinner twice which was also good. Furthermore everything well maintanded and clean. We enjoyed our stay very much. Everything has met our expectations
- Debora (10/5): - A place of beauty and peace - embodiment of Zen.
Short walk from a gorgeous beach, and there are deck chairs available to use at the beach ⛱️ N/A
No podría ponerle ninguna pega.
- Julie (7/5): - The food menu

- Nicholas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Natnattcha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mary (10/5): An excellent place to stay if you are travelling by car - Host Daniel was a lovely man and couldn’t do enough for us The whole property has been totally renovated and to a very high standard
- Ronald (10/5): Highly recommended for a special lodging experience - Idyllic location a stones throw from a secluded beach. Eco-renovation of farm house ruin. Owner very attentive and warm Duvet was scratchy
- Elizabeth (10/5): It is a beautiful place in which to relax. - The warm welcome & helpfulness of Daniel. The relaxed atmosphere, helped by classical music being played in the reception area.
- Santiago (8/5): Very good -
- Santiago (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ian (10/5): brilliant - wonderful location, fabulous beach and easy walk into harbour restaurants
- Sharron (10/5): Exceptional - Very calm, modern, clean and lovely room Nothing
- Neil (9/5): Superb -
- Graham (10/5): Good value in a beautiful remote location with parking, ideal for a one night stay on our road trip around Northern Spai - Good value and beautiful property in a remote location close to an small secluded cove and a 10 minute drive to Luarca, free parking on site, helpful and friendly host, comfortable and clean room, great shower. The property was not offering dinner and it’s a challenging 30 minute walk to the nearest bar or restaurant in Luarca. We did the walk and there were beautiful views and, fortunately, we found a €10 taxi back. Nothing really but if you are a nervous driver or have mobility issues just be aware the property is in a remote location accessed via a narrow unlit road with plenty of gradient.
- Jackie (8/5): Lovely stay hosts welcoming and nice breakfast - Lovely room with terrace and a short walk to beach A little bit far out
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Arthur (10/5): Our dream modernized finca in the woods with a secret beach - We loved this Finca! From the moment we walked in and were greeted by our host Daniel, it was a luxurious experience. The location is so charming, tucked into the woods at the end of a sleepy village, with sheep grazing nearby and a secret beach just steps down the road. We appreciated the parking being right there. Reception was so peaceful with classical music, artwork and comfy seating. The dining area was right there with beautiful views of the grazing area and woods. Our room was on the first floor (stairs or elevator); it was large with a big bed and desk. We were fortunate to have a patio to star gaze at night. The bathroom is large and modern with a great shower overlooking the hill. The room was very quiet at night, and the bed very comfortable. The next morning, breakfast was a delicious buffet, and we ended up buying a jar of jam and chatting with our friendly host. We will remember our stay here very fondly! No air conditioning in the room.

- Luuuluuu (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ernst (10/5): Lovely stay at a beautiful hotel with a very attentive host - The whole stay at Finca Portizuelo was beyond our expectations. The host Daniel made our stay all the more pleasant with his kindness, attention to detail and friendliness. The food at the hotel was the best we had during our stay in Northern Spain. Highly recommend a visit!
- Olaf (9/5): Superb - Really good. Better than 3*
- Richard (9/5): Relaxing and loved the short walk to the beach - Location and quality of hotel was superb
- Alberto (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (10/5): Peaceful stay, lovely location very welcoming owners. Exceptionally clean with lovely breakfasts. - Exceptionally tranquil location. Nothing
- Dirk (10/5): Perfect hide away in Biskaia - Alles top, oceaan op 2' weer
- Gilliane (8/5): Little hideaway beside a wonderful seculided beach. - Right beside a secluded beach. So went for a morning swim before we left.
And loved the homemade marmalade! Only issue was on booking.com it said we were 1.5 km from Luarca so we were planning on walking after a glass of wine or two. Luckily we noticed before that it’s 1.5 km by sea, but 5.5km by road. Just be careful to manage expectations. Once there it’s in a wonderful location.
- Marie (10/5): Exceptional - The whole place was absolutely spotless. We loved the quiet location - listening to the birdsong in the evening and morning was stunning. We hadn’t booked food but as there isn’t anywhere close by we asked to book when we arrived. Menu was short but delicious and we were only sorry we didn’t have room for the home made dessert. Hosts were fabulous, nothing was too much trouble.
- Sandy (7/5): Good - It was a beautiful rural setting with a lovely private patio. A 2 minute walk down to the sea- which at low tide offered the chance to scramble over rocks for a unique experience. Room appointment was quite simple. Because it’s remote from town you have to drive. All 5 restaurants recommended were either lunch only or closed, even one we drove to 15 minutes away.
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (10/5): Architecturally beautiful near a really quiet cove. - It was in the middle of nowhere near a lovely cove. An architecturally interesting building restored with great care and thought for its surroundings and ecological care. The rooms were spacious and the bathroom luxurious. There was even a kettle in the room which was great. It is a no tv hotel which wasn’t a problem. It was really quiet. In the communal sitting area there was a bar and relaxing classical music playing which was really relaxing. The grounds were laid out well with seating. Breakfast was well prepared and had a good choice, including smoothies which I recommend. The owner was really attentive and happy to talk about the building and how he restored it. Well worth a visit. Nothing
- Jeffry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yasmin (9/5): Superb -
- Barbara (10/5): Exceptional - It was a lovely house beautifully decorated. The host was very welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed relaxing on the wild beach nearby and in the garden. Nothing
- Thomas (10/5): Daniel and his staff were very accommodating and helpful - The quiet. The calm. Clean. Nada.
- Adelaida (10/5): Clam with charm - The calm, location, the owners
- Victor (9/5): Superb -
- Judy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sandi (8/5): Very good - Service was good. Breakfast was good. Difficult to find.
Room did not have air con or fan, so had to keep window open which resulted in lots if flies so not good sleeps.
The walk to nearest town of Luarca was up and down steep hills, not suitable for older people
- Maxine (10/5): Exceptional - An exceptional two short nights. While it might be interesting to drive to, it's so special to have such modern conveniences in such a tranquil and pastoral setting. Highly recommended!
- Monk (7/5): Good -
- Magdalena (10/5): Stunning resting place - We loved this beautiful place. We had the terrace room.Good linnen and bed.The house is in excellent condition.Breakfast was great, served by a very helpful and friendly lady. A private beach Just 200 meters down the road.
It was a bit tricky to find this place the first day as my google maps/mobile network was slow at crucial points but we managed and by the second day it was so easy to visit the town and surroundings.
- Bernard (10/5): Great hotel in a great location. - This is a not to be missed hotel. Great host, lovely quiet location. Hope too many people don't find out about it and spoil the lovely peaceful place. Such a change from being woken up in the early hours in city centre hotels. Can't recommend it too highly. Nothing!
