• Katie (10/5): A relaxing stay on the water - Lovely property on the bay. The rooms were spacious and clean. Bathroom was clean and modern. Kitchen had what you needed to make a meal. Staff were lovely and helpful, and there was no human noise after hours. If you’re not inclined to cook, the closest place to grab a bite is a 20 minute walk. Public transport is rarely on time, taxis are expensive and hit and miss with availability.

Die Fotos der Unterkunft entsprechen grundsätzlich der Realität, wirken jedoch so, als wären sie kurz nach der Neueröffnung aufgenommen worden. Insgesamt hätten wir uns angesichts des Preises etwas mehr erwartet. Wir fanden in der Mikrowelle noch Reste vom Vorgänger.

Der Mann an der Rezeption war freundlich und zeigte uns persönlich unser Zimmer. Das Zimmer hatte alle Einrichtungen, die zum Kochen benötigt werden. So konnten wir uns etwas Abwechslung in die Mahlzeiten bringen. Das W-LAN war leistungsfähig und unterstützte alle Aktivitäten im Internet, die man im Urlaub unternimmt. Vom Zimmer hatte man einen schönen Blick auf den Ozean.
• Ross (9/5): The ultimate 'beach shack' make over - Spotless and recently modernised inside. We had the largest of the 2 upstairs units . Property enjoys absolute beach frontage (not many in this area - albeit beach is a little rocky). All necessary facilities for a relaxing holiday. Whilst A/C installed, it was great just to enjoy the sea breeze and overhead fans. All windows had security screens. Good quality towels and sheets. Well equipped kitchen including a cooktop. Decor entirely appropriate for location. Unfortunately, edge strips on kitchen cupboards already de-laminating and gold/bronze plating on fittings (eg bathroom drawer handles) wearing off already.

• Rayne (10/5): New favourite - Actually on the beach, clean and perfect views. Convenient to walk out of your room and straight onto the beachfront. Rooms are modern but still a have the classic beachy feel to them. Staff were great. We’ve stayed in Yeppoon countless times, all different hotels, and this is by far the best one yet at a great price point.

• Dean (9/5): A super apartment immediately next to the ocean. - This is a great place to stay, sited immediately next to the ocean. The tides produce exposed rocks/ a big beach area and, at other times, water virtually up to the premises. It's a great place for families, and there was a lot of children around. We had room 6, which is upstairs and looks out from the side windows over the communal grass area. It has a small verandah outside with a table and two chairs. Purely by luck, I think we got the best room in the place. The room had a small lounge at the front and immediately behind the small double bedroom. This is where the only AC unit is, and it's fine. There is a larger kitchen/diner behind and an appropriately sized bathroom with a dedicated shower. We stopped for five nights, and it worked well for us. There are small maintenance tasks that need sorting. One of the blinds in the lounge kept falling off. When we reported it, it was obviously well known to the management. I also thought the shower drainage could do with a flush through! Nothing major, but it indicates a lack of attention.

Perfect for what we needed - just a comfortable spot to spend the night as we broke up the long drive from Hervey Bay up to Airlie Beach. The chap on the reception was really helpful and called by to help with a few questions and to make some dinner recommendations. Not much, was pretty basic but so was the price. What we got was very good for what we paid.

The room #7 was great and we loved to have our breakfast on our Little Ballons with the Faszination view on the sea. Dusche top. Föhn top. Bett sehr bequem. Everything was Perfect! Suggestion: Put up a light (movement detector) on the stairs and in front of the door of room 7 for when you come home when it is dark ;-)

• Louise (1/5): Totally disappointed. - At Yeppoon Rooms were outdated, no screen on door, bathroom facilities were not suitable so we couldn’t stay. Staff stated we could get partial refund but this has never happened. Stayed for one night paid for three, very disgruntled because of dishonesty.

• Winnie rose (10/5): Great place to stay - The location is great. The guy in the reception is so friendly and helpful. He is amazing The roof is thin when it’s raining we can’t sleep but it’s ok
