• Georg (10/5): Toller Aufenthalt - Eine sehr sympathische Gastgeberin, die uns alles gezeig und mit Tips versorgt hat. Das Apartment ist modern und großzügig, sehr geschmackvoll und gemütlich eingerichtet und mit Zutaten für Tee und Kaffee ausgestattet. Es liegt auf einer Anhöhe und hat einen wuderbaren Ausblick auf die darunterliegende Bucht. Das Frühstück wurde im privaten Wohnzimmer serviert und war sehr abwechslungsreich (Cerealien, frisches Obst, Joghurt, Brot, Avocado, ...) und wirklich köstlich. Vielen, liebe Dank, wir kommen gerne wieder! -

• Horst (10/5): - Die Unterkunft hatte alles, was uns wichtig war und Glück mit dem Wetter hatten wir auch, so dass wir einen Schnorchelausflug zu den Poor Knights Islands machen konnten. Zum Abendessen sind wir 5 Minuten nach Tutukaka gefahren. Dort gab es zwei gute Restaurants.

Plenty cupboard space. However, a place to open the suitcases other than on the ground would be useful for the guests who do not wish to empty their suitcases in the cupboards.

The breakfast the next morning was delicious and an excellent start to the day and perfect for a long day of diving. Highly recommend staying here. Only regret is not staying longer to explore the area as we were on a time crunch, but we will be back!

• Rod (10/5): Exceptional all round. - The breakfast was exceptional, with offerings including a fresh hot breakfast, fruit, cheeses, yogurt, juice, coffee, bread, jams etc. Also, breakfast could be custom scheduled to anytime between 7am and 10am. The spacious accommodation overlooked one of the Tutukaka bays from your private balcony, and was well located for day trips including Whangerai Falls, Kiwi North, Matapouri and numerous incredible beaches. Also, spectacular waterfront hiking trails nearby. Perks included top of the line beach chairs, an outdoor shower option, a local inexpensive taxi option to village restaurants. Also, a private sauna for an additional charge if so inclined. This space has been constructed, decorated and outfitted on a first class basis offering very good value for your dollar. More like your own apartment, not a room. Designated on site parking. Top all of this off with lovely, invested, and engaging informed hosts. Stayed two nights. In retrospect, three nights would have been a better choice.

Extremely well-appointed and maintained. Everything seemed new. Friendly and welcoming hosts laid on a great spread for breakfast. I can’t think of anything. We would have stayed longer and would certainly stop there again.

• Upul (9/5): Outstanding and inspiring. - This is an excellent place for two. The owners Petra and Daniel were amazing in respect of everything. Their promptness, dedication and commitment to make our stay was very impressive. They have gone beyond to provide all facilities within the property and small lighting provided in the bathroom was a great touch. The entire room was filled with many items to fill your day and I recommend any one to stay there at least for two days. The breakfast provided by them and the care was really great as well. They can further improve the looks from outside mainly to match inside as well.

The house was beautifully renovated with particular attention to all the details for creating the best living space. They are two lovely and caring hosts. The bed, bathroom and every corners were clean and tidy. The house decor was carefully selected to bring a very creative atmosphere. Especially, we enjoyed the delicious breakfast with the stunning sunrise view every morning. We really appreciate the wonderful experiences because of staying at Tutukaka Sunrise.

Its a spacious place and you will really feel like a home vibe. It has scenic view and everything is just beyond excellence. I can't think of anything actually its jusy sad that we only have one night stay because its just a short weekend getaway. The accommodation offers a lot of stuff to enjoy.

• Isabel (10/5): A real paradise in the Northlands for discerning travellers - Petra and Daniel are exceptional hosts -- we felt like at home. The flat has everything that you wish for on a holiday stay -- and more! The quietness, the view (from the bed!), the mornings or evenings having a coffee on the veranda, looking at the sea and listening to the birds, and the overall feeling and experience were truly remarkable. The breakfast was ... a full brunch! Petra is an amazing baker, in addition to a terrific local guide! You also have a choice of 3 beaches, 5 minutes by car (overlooking west & east); and the Marina (for diving/snorkling excursions) and restaurants, are also 5 minutes by car. What else can you wish for?. Tutukaka sunrise is secret jewel tucked away among subtropical forests, at the top of the coast ridge . Would definitely come back!

• Anonymous (9/5): Perfection. 10/10 highly recommend. - I stayed here while doing my SCUBA dive certification and it could not have been more perfect. The hosts were welcoming and very accommodating, the included breakfast was magnificent and the apartment was very comfortable had absolutely everything you could need. I cannot wait to stay here again!! The only thing needed was a laundry hanger for wet clothes indoors - the outside clothesline was great but as the night temps were cooler anything hung out to dry in the evening was still wet in the morning.
