- Michelle (5/5): Vale que solo fue una noche - Bonita atención del personal. Las chicas de recepción muy atentas pero no quita nada al hecho que el lugar está bastante deteriorado. Situado a pocos minutos del centro queda práctico pero se escucha la música de bares cercanos hasta las 4am. Las sábanas estaban limpias y suaves. La vista al mar es algo obstruida pero bonita El alojamiento no está siendo cuidado , está en malas condiciones, me pareció muy caro por un hostel viendo el estado en el cual estaba la habitación cuál era privada no de las compartidas. Yo no volvería a hospedar ahí. En el desayuno falta un juguito de frutas aparte del té o café. Hay gente que no toma ninguna de estas dos cosas.

- Sabrina Lucia (9/5): Habe hier perfekte 5 Wochen verbracht - Ich war bereits letztes Jahr 2x im Saltwater und weil es mir so gut gefallen hatte, bin ich dieses Jahr erneut hin. In Summe habe ich nun 5 Wochen hier verbracht und muss wirklich sagen, das Hostel ist super! Es hat ein super Preis - Leistungsverhältnis, alle Mitarbeiter sind unglaublich freundlich, die Lage ist spitzenmäßig (ruhig gelegen und doch sehr nah am Strand und dem Nachtleben), das Frühstück ist im Preis inkludiert, es gibt genug Möglichkeiten zum entspannen und jedes Dormzimmer hat eigene Toiletten und Duschen im Zimmer enthalten.

- Maik (10/5): Unterkunft mit Chillfaktor - Sehr freundliches Personal schon an der Rezeption (Spricht auch Englisch). Wir waren zu zwei in einem Doppelzimmer mit eigenem Bad. Alles war sehr sauber und das Bett komfortabel. In der Nacht war es ruhig. Das Zimmer verfügte über einen Ventilator. Morgens gibt es klasse Frühstück. Der Gemeinschaftsbereich ist super weitläufig mit Hängematten etc. Wir haben mehrere Nächte dort lange mit anderen tollen Menschen gesessen. Wir finden, dass die Fotos schlechter sind als in der Realität. Wir würden immer wieder kommen. Restaurants und Innenstadt sind locker zu Fuß zu erreichen. Alles top. Küche war rudimentär ausgestattet aber das war alles machbar :)

- Enrique (3/5): I'm not giving it a 1 cause of the people at reception - The staff at reception were friendly and helpful. Super disappointed with the place. The person serving breakfast was very rude and inefficient. They ask you to put your breakfast preferences in a paper with the hour that you're going to have your breakfast, it doesn't matter cause we were waiting almost an hour and we had to tell them that we needed to leave for a tour. After all the wait they mixed up our order and I ended up eating something else. Moreover, they offer pancakes with "fruit", but it's basically half a banana with 2 pancakes, a bit poor IMO. In theory, you have 4 breakfast options, 3 of them with eggs and the last one are pancakes. It doesn't matter which of the 3 options with eggs you choose, they'll always give you scrambled eggs, rice and toasts. The private double room is very small and it has mould all over the place. For the price we're paying, we were expecting much more.

- Claire (10/5): - Everything. The shared spaces, the few minutes walk to the beach and shops, the friendly staff, the breakfast, the individual fans for each bed. You seriously can't go wrong here. The kitchen is a little small and could have a few more utensils but we made it work and extended our stay. Don't forgot to enjoy the view area at the front of the hostel 😍 we booked the surf day through the hostel & had the best day. laying in a hammock and looking at the beach, doesn't get much better than that.

- Jefferson (5/5): - Free breakfast in the morning, large dorm room with ensuite bathroom, personal fan for my bed. Free towel rental (though you need to give ID for collateral) Paid and dropped my stuff around 1 pm then went exploring. When I got back (around 8 or 9 pm), the other employee acted like I was an intruder and thief even though I was wearing the wristband. And I had to wait in the lobby like a criminal as he called his employee. They had touched/moved my stuff without asking, putting it into the dorm instead of keeping it behind their desk where I left. I signed up for the earliest breakfast at 8 am (bc I had an early bus to catch). When I asked the women in the kitchen about it (at 8:15), they flipped to the second page of the sign-up list and said they had to make this large group's breakfasts before getting to mine - even though I had signed up before them. I only got my meal 20 minutes after I expected to, making me miss the 8:30 bus I intended to take (to the border, to catch a flight). Oh, and neither bathroom I used (in my room and the common one) had soap to use. The shower was cold, and the showerhead was broken, spraying more water into the bathroom than was coming down into the shower. And the hostel did not have free drinking water to take, when essentially every other place I stayed had this. Bed wasn't that comfortable, and the views weren't as great as I read about either.

Mancava una piccola luce ad ogni letto Forse perché eravamo in pochi ma è un ostello rilassante Un grazie a Maria e allo staff per la disponibilità Oltre a mancare la piccola luce perciò è necessario accendere sempre quella grande che può disturbare gli altri ospiti, anche il bagno non era comodo, c'erano all'interno del dormitorio due wci e due docce separate e va bene ma il lavandino esterno al bagno è dentro la camera che anche in quel caso si disturba gli altri se se vuole usare di sera o mattina presto

The breakfast was delicious and the front desk people very kind and willing to help. The room had a bad smell that was coming from the sink every time I would wash my hands. It was very strong.

- Anditer (9/5): Fun hostel with great views and good breakfast - Great community feel with all the open seating areas that have a view of the sea. Breakfast was pleasant. Stayed in the private room and the air conditioning was great! I actually did like the fact that the hostel is just up a hill from town. You're close to the action without being directly in it. Just know that you will have to do a little uphill and downhill hiking each time you come and go, which for me was welcome 🙂

- Chrissy (4/5): Disappointing - Good location just a five-minute walk from the beach. The air conditioning in the room worked well. Although the shower did not have hot water, it at least got slightly warm. The room was very basic and not a good value for money compared to other places I've stayed in Nicaragua. Loud at night with lots of barking dogs nearby. Breakfast was basic.
- Jennyfromtheisland (9/5): Clean and comfortable with great views of the beach - Very nice hostel and although I was in an 8-bed dorm, it didn't feel crammed because it's quite spacious and the lockers are big. It has two toilets and two showers so it's never crowded. They offer 4 options for breakfast that you can sing up for the evening before. I chose the typical Nica breakfast (gallo pinto, eggs, toast) and it was delicious. There's no AC in the dorm but each bed has its own fan which helps. Big open air terrace with amazing view of the SJDS bay. Perhaps a bit more communication among the front desk staff. I mentioned the night before that I needed to leave really early in the morning and they assured me that I could check out then and that the night guard will be present. There was nobody there that morning so the front gate was locked and I missed my transport, which resulted in missing the connection bus.

- Irene (8/5): Chill hostel with ocean view - The location of the Hostel is amazing. It's very central but you get the view and the quietness. My private room and bathroom were very clean. The room was nicely decorated and had modern features. The view from the upstairs open communal area is fantastic. You can enjoy the sunset directly from there. The chill out area has a lot of comfy options. The kitchen offers free filtered water, which is great. You could choose between 4 different options for the breakfast. It's a quiet hostel, which in my case I like. I had a private room, which was very hot and very small. The provided fan helped a bit, but it was not enough if you want to stay in the room during the afternoon.

- Shyler (1/5): Good location. Dishonest staff - The property was close to town Stayed here for 4 nights. We left our private room unlocked while having breakfast one morning and later I discovered money missing from my wallet, about $2000 cardoba, I assumed perhaps another traveller but due to a second incident now believe it was the staff. Upon checking out I left an envelope with a $20usd tip for a taxi driver who had helped me out during our stay, I had written on the envelope and stapled it closed, I sent a photo of the envelope to the taxi driver and let him know how much was in it as he had to go out of his way to retrieve it, when he picked it up it was in a different envelope and now only had 10usd instead of the 20 dollar bill I had left. Room was ok, private room was 100cad/night. No shower head and very very basic. If you stay here ensure you keep all valuables locked or on your person.

- Joeeeeee (7/5): Good location, slightly basic rooms - The hostel is really well located in the centre of San Juan Del Sur - everything is in walking distance. The hostel has a great view over the bay and we loved the hammocks and sun deck. The bed was unbelievably comfy and the sheets were so soft. Breakfast was great. AC worked well too. The room was reasonably basic - for example there was no head on the shower. The room has also obviously been cleaned previously (e.g. the bathroom and sheets were completely clean) but not checked just before our arrival as there were four dead cockroaches on the floor which wasn't ideal.

- Maurice (6/5): Pleasant - Close to the city centre and private parking. No window in the private room(!). No hot water. Breakfast was super limited with only two basic options. Rooms were very basic, like low range, while the price was more mid-range.

- Kathryn (10/5): Exceptional - Helpful friendly staff. Breakfasts were delicious 😋 Very safe hostel lockers provided and a night guard on duty. Beds were very comfortable and being only 2 blocks away from downtown it was quiet. The hostel is kept very clean.

- Michell (9/5): Great stay - Single room was very nice. Comfortable bed/ pillows and can listen to the waves at night. Great breakfast / location and ocean views. No shower head.Just pours from a spout. No- where to hang clothes. But minor inconveniences. Otherwise great place.
