• Hilly (8/5): A comfortable stay in a quiet part of Ladysmith - A very well located property to the outside of Ladysmith offering peace and quiet with a lovely view from the swimming pool. The manager was very welcoming and couldn’t do enough to assist.

• Suraj (6/5): Overall, it was a pleasant stay. If you looking for a modern upmarket place, this is not that. - If you are into quaint, albeit a bit aged, places, this is ideal. I booked the suite which was essentially a complete studio apartment, very spacious with lots of cupboard space. The host was very eager to assist with any and all reasonable requests. The room is above the garage and has wooden (Oregon Pine or Oak) floors which creaked a lot when walking in the room. The floors are not properly sealed so when anyone speaks in the garage they are clearly audible in the room.

Alles liebevoll eingerichtet und sauber. Essop hatte tolle Ideen für Ausflüge und einen Restaurant Tipp. Da ich eine Erkältung hatte hat Essop mir sofort einen wirkungsvollen Hustensaft besorgt. Besser geht nicht.

The room gets nice and dark and sleeping was quite pleasant. The kettle I had to move next to the bed, the cable was too short.

• Alvin (4/5): Disappointed stay - They host was accomodating I was placed in a unit on another propery. Although the unit was bigger, it looked more like an unfinished project. When I arrived they were busy quickly making up a bed for me. The rest of the beds were not even made. There were things just sanding around like a disconnected washing mashine in the main bedroom. Someones toothbrush and toothpaste in the bathroom. Lamp shades stand on the floor in what seems to a unfinished walk in closet. No mirror in the bathroom. Another mirror standing in a corner behind a fan. The main entrance sliding door could not lock. One had to lock the safety gate from the ouside. I presume it was the maid that stayed in a room that is attached to the unit, being very loud and inconsiderate. Just all-round disappointed with my booking and experience.

• Sizwe (9/5): My stay was amazing I would definitely like to go back there again. - The room is really beautiful, l big, clean with a dstv and a flat screen, free wifi. The shower is big as well clean and in good condition. You have alot of freedom to outside in the garden the pool. The view at night is superb. The heater there is not as hot as normal. But the blankets makes up for that, the wifi works well before 00:00am after that it doesn't work.

He was very friendly and made various plans to make our stay as pleasant as possible. He was the highlight of the stay. Traveling through town to the guest house felt extremely unsafe, although the location itself is good for the town. The room was not 100% clean in some places, but was not unliveable and you could see that there was lots of trouble to present the room as neat as possible.The toilet had a bit of smell, which I'm not sure if it was the drain itself or what the cause was, but it was working.
