Guest Reviews
- Sally (9/5): Lovely, comfortable stay in a beautiful and well-kept property - The hot tub was lovely after lots of walking! And the living room was so comfortable and cosy. Everything was very clean and it was a nice touch to have a coffee machine. Nothing!
- Lukasz Konc (10/5): -
- Evie (10/5): - Everything especially the designs of it, hot tub, and clear instructions for everything Had a fuse blow, and was told the wrong place of the fuse box and was in darkness for over a hour- was very late so not effecting the rating
- Shaun (8/5): Clean, tidy, cozy, secure, not cheap. - Secure, with a high fence back garden and the property is dog friendly. Was over £500 for 3 nights which we felt was a bit much.
- Sheena (8/5): Exactly what was needed. Definitely book again. - Very relaxing
Great location
Easy access
Hosts were easily to communicate with if needed Hand rail on stairs would be good.
Blinds in upper floor bedroom and kitchen needed repaired.
Lights in garden good however could have more at hot tub.
Little things but not a hindrance to our stay.
- Amanda (10/5): - Amazing little cottage, everything you need
Wee shop round corner
- Aleksandra (9/5): -
- Rochelle (10/5): Perfect, would recommend and definitely would stay again - Clean, modern, perfect for what we needed. Upstairs was very hot but expected due to the weather and it being in the loft. Maybe if weather is hot a fan could be accessible?
- Angelique (9/5): Cute cottage - Nice, cute cottage. We had everything we needed. Own parking spot for the car. Dog was also very welcome, even had her own bed and bowl. The bath upstairs has no shower. You have to take a bath. The bathroom downstairs has no hand douche.
- Andrew (9/5): - Location Parking was not easy
- Christoph (9/5): -
- Valentina (9/5): Superb -
- Shona (10/5): Perfect location and amazing hot tub - Amazing location for climbing Ben Nevis, super clean, lovely hot tub, spacious apartment and excellent value for money Check in time quite late considering it's a 10am check out time, but overall it was a great stay and I'd recommend to friends
- Faye (9/5): Superb -
- Lukasz (9/5): Superb -
- Stephen (8/5): We had a great stay in the cottage and would be interested in staying there again if the cost was slightly cheaper to su - It was a well furnished, cozy little house. Trying to get in and out of the property’s driveway was quite tricky as there were cars parked everywhere on the street making it difficult to manoeuvre. The cost for what was basically a cottage in the middle of council house street was quite expensive.
- Leah (9/5): Superb -
- Holly (10/5): Excellent stay, great location and would recommend. - Very well equipped! Good location and with a car you could reach lots of stunning places. The bath water temperature was cool.
- Karen (9/5): Really lovely. - Cosy, welcoming and beautifully decorated. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. A great base for exploring the Highlands. We went to Skye, Mallaig, Glen Coe, Glenfinnan. The hot tub is a really nice touch and I loved the little table in the upstairs bathroom!! (A fellow petrolhead me thinks) There is ample parking on the driveway of the property which is great. Just need to manoeuvre around a few of the neighbours parked cars.
- Andrew (8/5): Very good - The property was convent for what we wanted to do in various parts of the highlands and the hot tub in winter was a bonus.
- Jon (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Erika (7/5): Overall good - The property was nice and had a little of everything we needed it. It smelled like dog and the heating system was poor. When trying to heat up downstairs, upstairs was way too hot .
- Schneider (9/5): Superb - Comfortable house, quiet neighbourhood The weather, but nobody can be held responsible for it......
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing hot tub which was very welcome at the end of the day. Clean, spacious, 2 toilets one with shower, one with bath. Very comfy, enjoyed reclining chairs. Well equipped kitchen. Everything was catered for. Nothing to dislike.
- Alyson (10/5): Exceptional -
- Natalie (10/5): Great location, satisfied every need, had an amazing weekend, very happy campers! Thank you - Beautiful cottage and a perfect spot! The hot tub was a bonus after climbing Ben Nevis! 😍 Everything was perfect!
- Alex (10/5): Great - Great property set up extremely well with great beds, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The hot tub was an unexpected bonus
- Jennifer (9/5): Really enjoyed our few days in very comfortable cottage. - Good shower, clean, hot tub, reclining chairs, thoughtful touches (milk in the fridge) and coffee pods. 😊 Oven wasn’t great.
- Angela (10/5): Exceptional - The hot tub was great
- Euan (7/5): Good -
- Harriet (8/5): A cosy home away from home (very dog friendly) - Well decorated, comfortable and very dog friendly. The hot tub was a lovely touch. It was all very comfortable and a very cosy place considering the temperature outside. Was very thankful for the driveway too. Found the whole booking process and communication brilliant. Also thanks for the Christmas card, tree and Xmas decoration and Buck’s Fizz- lovely touches. Just a few wee things (nothing massively impacted or stay but may be worth considering). Soap had run out in the downstairs bathroom, the lighter for the fire was empty, the oven had no markings- so we had to spend a very long time googling the make and model of the oven so we could actually cook. No oven glove was also tricky. Grass at front needed cut. The TV signal was very temperamental too. Overall a lovely stay but just a few frustrations.
- Emma (9/5): Bolthole for a walking weekend - Very easy cottage to use for a short stay while on a walking holiday. Very cosy and clean. Walking distance to shops. Hot tub in the courtyard was the perfect treat after wet and windy days on hills. Glad property has a driveway which was great. Culdesac road was very full of cars all weekend, leaving space very tight to get in and out of driveway when we were there.
- Jane (10/5): A fabulous weekend in a lovely cottage in the Highlands - A beautiful cottage that was in a great location. After a busy day sightseeing and visiting surrounding areas it was lovely to come back to a warm and comfortable home. The hot tub was a super bonus. We had no dislikes.
- John (9/5): Superb -
- Martyn (9/5): Superb -
- Barbara (5/5): Passable - Reclining tv chairs Location, uncomfortable beds
- Loretta (10/5): Beautiful, cosy cottage, wonderful stay! - We loved everything about our stay here! We visited Fort William to climb Ben Nevis and the accomodation on return was absolutely perfect, we especially enjoyed a long soak in the hot tub after our trek! Check in / out process was super smooth, would definately visit again, thank you! We weren't there long enough!!!
- Ankur (9/5): Superb - Very comfortable property with cute bunk beds for kids and lovely master room. No dryer- which I think will really in drying clothes on rainy days. Also the master bathroom is a tub only bath with no shower making it of little use.
- Retro (7/5): I had a good stay but as I said before , my expectations were a bit different - The property was very clean with all amenities inside. The owners gave a special touch by leaving some wood inside the hose many thanks for that.
The property is about 8 miles from Fort Williams and 2 and half hours from Portree, and about 2 hours from inverness
There is a spar supermarket about 3 minutes walk from the property The location is right in the middle of other houses so if you are looking for a quite isolated property this may not fit your needs.
I had trouble parking my car into the property, there were huge vehicles parked right in front of the property which made my manoeuvres to park into the property very hard, probably not want you would want on your holiday.
- Anne (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (8/5): Fantastic! Definitely recommend to anyone visiting Fort William or passing by! - the hot tub was a great bonus! the living room was so nice and cosy, with access to the log fire, smart tv and incredibly comfy couches! Was great that there was a coffee machine too! the oven dials were not clear however we quickly worked it out the one on the left was the oven. The downstairs bed wasn’t extremely comfortable however was still good.
- Stephanie1985x (8/5): Very good - Loved everything about our stay and cant wait for another one. Parking is a nightmare as there are loads of cars around and you need to squeeze through them to park
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gemma (9/5): Superb -
- Nicola (9/5): Beautiful cottage for a nice relaxing break with hot tub and log burner to enjoy - Loved the addition of the log burner and hot tub within the property. Everything we needed and it was lovely and clean.
Lovely cottage, glad it has a private drive as the parking is pretty busy so can make it awkward trying to get into drive but the drive is always clear to park in. The only 2 things that I would change in the cottage is to add a blind to the back door.
Maybe add main wired fairy lights to the hot tub area as the solar ones don't work.
- Lindsay (10/5): perfect - ideal location for hillwalking.
hot tub is lovely
bed is so comfortable
lovely little extras: body wash tea coffee & biscuits towels and cleaning products.
very helpful & quick to respond to any questions..
10/10 stay N/A
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alistair (9/5): On balance it was good. An ideal location to visit the West Highlands. - Very clean. Modern look. Quiet One of the dials on the oven was not working, and the temperature markings were erased. We were still able to operate the grill though. Parking on the estate to which the property was located, was a bit chaotic which meant it was a little onerous parking on the drive
- Gustav (10/5): 10/10 absolutly Perfect - Amazing Place and close to Ben Nevis
