• Christian (10/5): Perfekt! - Großartige Dach-Suite und sehr nette Vermieter. Dringend empfehlenswert ist das angeschlossene Restaurant, in dem lokale Küche und modernes und gesundes Kochen kombiniert wird. Es macht Sinn vor Ankunft kurz zu reservieren!
• Markus (10/5): Sehr zu empfehlen und immer wieder gerne. - Alles! Sehr schön und liebevoll eingerichtet. Sehr herzliche Gastgeber und Empfang. Durften Gepäck bereits deponieren, obwohl wir viel zu früh da waren. Wurde sogar aufs Zimmer gebracht. Wasser, Tee, Kaffee und Natas standen auch bereit. 😊 Das WC war zwar hinter der Wand hatte aber leider keine Türe… gewöhnungsbedürftig.

• Heidrun (10/5): Stilvolles und gemütliches Appartement mit sehr freundlichen Vermietern. - Die Unterkunft liegt perfekt im Ort- Altstadt, Fluss und Mündung in den Atlantik fussläufig. Das Appartement ist sehr sauber, gemütlich und stilvoll eingerichtet und großzügig geschnitten. Ruhige Umgebung. Vermieter haben ein erstklassiges Restaurant im Erdgeschoss.

Fint välkomnande God mat i restaurangen Bilderna stämmer väldigt bra överens med hur stressfree suit ser ut och trots det blev vi glatt överraskade över hur vackert det var Inspirerande plats 🌿 Att ha en toalett utan dörr utmanar relationen lite men sålänge det är fint väder utanför går det att låta sin partner/vän njuta av solen på trappan

• Ruby (10/5): Would book again, would recommend you book too - Loveliest welcome after a long day of hiking! Couldn’t recommend it enough. A perfect location, a gorgeous room, run by lovely people. Tea and pastry on arrival was wonderful.
• Katja (9/5): Charmantes Zimmer, sehr freundliche Gastgeberin - Wir wurden von der Gastgeberin außerordentlich herzlich begrüßt, das Zimmer war im Dachgeschoss über eine Wendeltreppe erreichbar und sehr charmant eingerichtet, die Platzverhältnisse optimal genutzt und sehr sauber. Die Lage ist sehr zentral. Es gab nichts zu bemängeln, unten ist ein Lokal, aber an 22 Uhr war es ruhig, vorher schlafen wir persönlich sowieso nicht

• Peter (10/5): Die perfekte Unterkunft - Zentral mitten im Ort gelegen und trotzdem sehr ruhig. Sehr nette Vermieter🤗 Grosses und gut eingerichtet Zimmer. Zugang über Wendeltreppe war der Hit😂 siehe Foto
• Brigitte Anna (10/5): Bezaubernd, wunderbar, liebevoll! - Wer das Ungewöhnliche sucht, wird hier glücklich sein. Man darf allerdings eine aussenliegende steile Wendeltreppe in das Doppelzimmer im Dachgeschoss nicht scheuen. Einmal dort wird man belohnt mit einer tollen Aussicht über die Dächer Vila Novas und auch ein Blick zum Meer ist möglich. Der Empfang war sehr herzlich, das Interior ist liebevoll, schön und alles sauber. Holzdielen, Dachbalken, schöne Vintage Möbel und ein sehr sehr bequemes Bett. Die Dusche und die Toilette verstecken sich hinter einer Trennwand hinter dem Bett und haben keine Türe, das sollte für Menschen die ein Bett teilen, aber kein Problem sein. Mitten in der Altstadt, Shops, Bars, Restaurants vor der Haustür, trotzdem ruhig oben am Dach, der Fluss und das Meer sind fussläufig in 10-20 Minuten erreichbar. Wir haben es geliebt und sagen herzlichen Dank an unsere Gastgeber, auch für die liebevolle Nachricht am Tisch und für die Pastel Nata - wir kommen wieder und wünschen Euch alles Liebe ❤️! -

• Kristin (10/5): - We really enjoyed our stay after a tough day on the Fisherman’s Trail. The room is stunning and has a very peaceful feel to it. There were yoga mats and a welcome Pastel de Nata. Really very nice! I also recommend eating at the restaurant downstairs.

• Leonardo (10/5): Estadia espetacular num quarto muito engraçado. - A localização era muito boa, o quarto era espatular e tinha pormenores muito engraçados. Tanto a Joana como o Gonçalo foram bastante simpáticos e atenciosos. Certamente que iremos regressar.

• Jennifer (10/5): Perfect quiet location, strong shower-solo hikers. - The hosts were very kind & available if i needed anything. Clear communication prior to arrival. Excellent location for fishermen's trail. I couldn't hear any noise from outside, even though In the city center. The owners very good restaurant is downstairs, there is a coffee shop across the street & a market if needed for more water, etc. - all less than a 5 min walk. The beach is less than 10 min walk. There were no surprises as the pictures were very accurate. I received a delicious homemade dessert upon arrival. There was tea, coffee and water available and small safety box, if desired. Everything was very clean. Had a mini fridge, a yoga mat (stretching for the hike) and the A/C was quiet yet cold with remote control. The shower had strong pressure and got hot nicely. Bed was comfortable. Adorable guest suite, highly recommended Other reviews helped me prepare for the spiral stairs, no issue for me. Bathroom is behind the bed/wall and no doors. As a solo traveler, a non issue but couples should be aware. And if you are tall (6 ft) watch your head near the beam.
• Philip (9/5): Prima stek! - De gastvrouw Johanna heet je hartelijk welkom met zelfgemaakte taart. De kamer is prachtig, en gezellig ingericht. Ligt midden in dorp. Wij hadden onze iPad laten liggen, Johanna had ons gelukkig snel na ons vertrek hierover gebeld. Attent. Niets.

• Daniel (9/5): - Sehr nette Gastgeber. Unterkunft mit vielen liebenswerten Kleinigkeiten eingerichtet. Das Essen im dazugehörigen Restaurant ist fantastisch. Der Dampfabzug des Restaurants endet auf Höhe der Suite, so dass man zwischen 18 und 22h die Fenster nicht offen lassen kann, wenn man nicht den Küchengeschmack im Zimmer haben will.
• Lindsy (9/5): Genoten van deze heerlijke accommodatie, een aanrader. - De rust, prettige grote douche, airconditioning, leuke sfeer in de inrichting van de kamer, meer dan genoeg ruimte als je met 2 personen bent. De gastvrouw is fantastisch, wat voelde wij ons thuis, een persoonlijk welkom met een lekkernij . Het matras was voor ons te zacht, daardoor minder lekker geslapen.

• Anthony (8/5): Lovely stay in Vila Nova de Milfontes - Great location in Vila Nova de Milfontes. Right on the main strip for evening dinner and entertainment and a 10mins the walk to the beach. The suite was quiet. Joana and Gonçalo were so welcoming and offered to help in any way. We also ate at the restaurant downstairs which had great food. There was no door or curtain on the bathroom for privacy.

Muy agradecidos con la amabilidad de Joana y ubicación perfecta. La escalera. Es peligrosa. Debería plantearse una modificación. Bajar las maletas una aventura. Nos ha resultado extraño que el baño no tenga puerta con nuestro entendimiento de intimidad.

They were very gentle, welcoming requests as luggage storage in the restaurant. They make my dinner in the restaurant special because they bring a dessert with a candle for my girfriend birthday as I asked, thank you so much!!

• suzanne (10/5): Mooie rustige kamer midden in het centrum. - Mooie grote kamer van alle gemakken voorzien. Hele lieve eigenaren die erg gastvrij waren en alle nodige informatie geven. We hebben heerlijk gegeten in hun eigen restaurant beneden. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.
• Diego Soldevilla Guitart (10/5): Como en casa en Vilanova de Milfontes - La ubicación en Vilanova de Milfontes, en pleno centro del pueblo. El ático es tremendamente acogedor y bonito, con vistas al mar y al río Mira. La cama es comodísima y el apartamento tiene todo lo necesario. Los anfitriones trabajan en el restaurante de debajo y están disponibles para todo lo que sea necesario, son muy simpáticos y nos hicieron sentir como en casa. No puedo decir nada malo de este alojamiento. No podría poner ninguna pega, quizá el precio no es excesivamente económico, pero merece la pena para la calidad del alojamiento.

• Susan (10/5): A great location for walking the coastal paths. The town is beautiful and not too busy at this time of year - Beautifully furnished, light and airy. Complimentary tea and pastel da nata on arrival Situated in a really nice spot with restaurants close by m. The owners were so helpful and accommodating- willing to do anything to make your stay the best it could be. For us organising a taxi to and from the start and finish of our walks. Their own restaurant on site was really good too

• Sch79 (10/5): Spacious Stay with Scenic Views and a Great Host - This place is spacious and close to the seaside. Through the rooftop window, you can enjoy a view of the coast and the river estuary. All the facilities are very clean. One possible downside is the lack of a kitchenette, as only tea and coffee can be prepared. However, considering the location and price, I still find it to be a great value. The host was excellent—he provided clear instructions, introduced us to the surrounding area, and gave great recommendations on places to visit.

• Sue (10/5): Gorgeous home from home in a great location. - Stressfree suite is in a great location in the centre of Vila Nova de Milfontes. The suite is beautiful with lots of lovely touches to help you feel relaxed and at home. Joanna and Gonçalo are both really welcoming and great hosts. The suite is above their restaurant where we had dinner which was delicious. You can see both the river and the sea from the suite which is also great. We would thoroughly recommend this property. The toilet is private but doesn’t have a door. This was fine for us but might be an issue for some people.

• Susan (10/5): Exceptional - This room exceeded expectations - it was lovely! The owners were very kind and helpful. We were welcomed with tea and delicious pastel de nata. We also ate at their restaurant in the evening and it was great - delicious homemade food and reasonable prices. Great stay!!
• Daveen (10/5): Super comfy and perfect for de-stressing! - We stayed in the attic room of Gonçalo and Joana's house - super roomy, really comfy bed with great bedding, en suite large shower, welcomed with homemade pastéis de nata and jasmine tea, mini fridge, air con, magazines, comfy settees, books, desk, loads of lighting, ceiling fan... and then had a delicious dinner downstairs in their restaurant. Really want to go back and stay longer! You have to climb an outdoor spiral staircase to get to the room - fine if you're fairly fit, but don't take heavy luggage - though Gonçalo actually insisted on carrying our bags up for us.

• Sylvia (9/5): Pleasant. The restaurant in the house has vegan options. - The room is cozy but the spiral staircase to get to the room is very narrow. The host offers assistance in bringing the luggage up and down which is helpful. As an elderly woman I would not have been able to carry a larger suitcase up and down these stairs. Aside from that the stay was very pleasant. Joana and Goncalo are gracious hosts.
• Rod (9/5): It is with sadness that our schedule did not allow us to stay longer. We felt right at home, - The place is ooozing with charm, and having met the owners, it is easy to see why. They are the most charming and hospitable people you will ever meet. The setting on a quiet, charming street is superb. The owners operate a restaurant on the ground floor, and we had a fantastic dinner there (not included in the rental). There are some stairs that I took a little while to get used to, but this is a small thing in the end. The wide open floor plan was a surprise at first, however it turned out to be fine as well. I leave as a more open minded person :)

A lovely welcome from Joanna, including tea and pastries. Comfortable bed and amazing shower. The restaurant downstairs is owned by the same family and is excellent.

• Julia (8/5): Lovely room and welcome - We had a lovely welcome and the room was beautiful, spacious and clean. We probably chose wrong in that we asked for a sea view, as the room was on the top floor - like an attic room with a sloping roof and a low beam across the middle of the room. We are both 6 foot so had to stoop to avoid these. Also, we found the fact that there was no door to the toilet cubicle a bit odd. Not much privacy which some couples may find embarrassing. Very central for town, but no air con so had to sleep with windows open which we found very noisy - people were partying until 2am in surrounding area, so just bear this in mind if you go there in July! Sorry see previous entry - typed everything in one box!
• Ilda (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing room and amazing hosts! Joana and Gonçalo really make you feel at home. The room is lovely, with a decoration that shows both good taste and dedication to the guests! The restaurant downstairs (from the same owners) is also a must, tasty food, wine and the nicest employees :)
