Guest Reviews
- Jose (6/5): Pleasant -
- Louise (1/5): Horrendous. Avoid - Put in alternative accommodation with a couple of hours notice as mercury building was flooded. Horrendous. Firstly - we didn't appreciate we had booked shared accommodation (nor did the other guests). Reading other people's reviews, I think their listing originally was misleading. This accommodation was not fit for guests. It needed hoovering. The bedrooms locked from inside but you couldn't lock them when you went out - in shared accom. this was not appropriate having to take all valuables with us when we went out. This "self-catering" apartment was nothing of the sort. There were 2 plates, 2 bowls and 2 glasses on the draining board, and 4 sets of cutlery in a drawer. No cups, no kettle, no toaster, no oven gloves or tea towel, no pans / cookware, insufficient plates and glasses. There was also a dining table in the front room, with 1 chair. The Mercury Building we had originally booked stated that kitchenware and a kettle were provided (it also stated there was a hairdryer, which there was not). We had no means to make ourselves a cup of tea or coffee - no kettle or pans in which to boil water, and no cups in which to make a warm drink in. We attempted to put the TV on to distract us while we ate the food we had brought - there was no remote for the television, and therefore no way in which to turn it on. The host had only given us 1 pillow / towel, so she had to return at 10pm with another. We raised our issues with her and she simply left. Avoid these hosts at all costs. How they felt able to let 2 separate groups of 2 people share that accommodation in the state it was in is beyond me. It felt more like a hostel, and trust me a hostel would have been far cheaper (and we wouldn't have had the expectations we had going into this). The apartment is absolutely not fit to be rented out in it's present state. Everything. Lack of any means to self cater.
- Andrew (1/5): Bad - Weres my refund it was double booked I didn’t stay there
- Lisa (1/5): Bad - Nothing at all appalling, the room we booked as a private room was flooded dueto weather and the alternative accommodation was appalling Scammers, !!! I they made it out as id booked a hotel room , no shared accommodation and then shoved me and my child 30 mins away in a dive. It was so dirty not even light fitings , we were in tears , no tv no wifi , dead flowers dirty dishes, and dirty bedding, you need to take these people of bookimg.com
- Matthew (1/5): Bad - Nothing The whole experience. I got to my accommodation to be told they couldn't accommodate me in that property and asked if I could be moved to another so I did and it was dirty there was dirty towels on the living room floor the bed looked like someone had just jumped out there was rotten food in the fridge the place was not clean and the fact I had to pay £8 for a taxi from Manchester city centre to the second accommodation then to the show I was going to and again back to the accommodation and back to city centre in morning for train when I had booked city centre accommodation for that reason. So I would like a full refund or at least 75% on what I paid
