Guest Reviews
- Alyssa (10/5): Felt like a home away from home! - The hosts were so lovely and accommodating. Incredibly helpful with suggestions on how best to get around town. Felt like a home away from home!
- Caroline (10/5): Beautiful room, very spacious and a truly comfortable bed. - Great location and the hosts are really lovely people. Lots of useful advice on places to go.
- Philippa (10/5): Felt very welcome. Great city and location, dog friendly. Will definitely book again. - Very convenient, lovely hosts, lovely room and en-suite. N/A
- Nongnuch (8/5): Very good -
- Jack (10/5): Lovely room, brilliant hosts, great location... sad to have not stayed longer! - Really lovely room in a good location, 5 minute walk from Canterbury West and the city centre. Room is in Roger & Irina's home however they ensure that you feel welcome and not at all like you're imposing on their home.
The room is fully self-sufficient with its own private bathroom, smart TV, books, a really comfy & quality bed. We opted to have the continental breakfast included and this was a really nice touch each morning (cereal, fruit, pastries, toast, juice, and more jams than you could shake a stick at)
Roger & Irina were really pleasant company and nice to chat with but at no point did it feel like they were intrusive at all, they've really struck the balance perfectly and are brilliant hosts. They also had plenty of tips of where to go and what to see in town.
The house is located 30 secs away from St Dunstan's church, a 1000+ year old church where Thomas More's head was buried so this was great to have on the doorstep! As well as that, there's several good pubs and restaurants between the house and the city centre.
If we're ever down in Canterbury again we'll definitely stay here again, can't recommend it enough! Absolutely nothing at all, it was a perfect B&B experience and the hosts honestly couldn't do enough for us!
- Bethany (10/5): Great place for a weekend break - Great location, fantastic host and lovely breakfast. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
- James (8/5): Friendly hosts and a nice room -
- Farkhondeh (5/5): Passable - It was a large room. I didn’t realize this was in someone’s house. There was no lock in my room because it was somebody’s house?! The tiny sink in the tiny bathroom was really not usable and very uncomfortable. There was no tea or coffee or cup in the room. I asked for a kettle and they provided one. I was uncomfortable to stay in someone’s house. I thought this was a hotel or a guest house. Also there was no sign outside of the house. Kind of spooky. I suggest you make it clear in your website that this is not a hotel or hostel or a guest house. I would not have stayed there if I knew. Also it was none refundable, so I couldn’t cancel and go somewhere else. This made my stay stressful.
- Troy (8/5): Very good -
