• Lucia (8/5): - Pulita, comoda e in centro . Abbiamo trovato degli snack Ci sono solo 2 minuscole finestre ed è un poco umida poiché si trova sotto il livello della strada . La proprietaria ci ha informato che l’acqua dai rubinetti non si poteva bere e ci ha fatto trovare dell’acqua in bottiglia. Lo specchio sul soffitto sopra il letto non mi è piaciuto.

Équipements et litterie au top. Du haut standing pour un prix tout a fait correct. Prendre un bain relaxant après une journée d'exploration de La Valette, quel plaisir. Appartement idéalement situé, tout à la fois en plein coeur historique, et suffisamment à l'écart que pour être au calme. Les échanges avec notre hote Abigail ont été faciles et agréables. • Ramona (9/5): Keine Wünsche offen gelassen - Süßes Apartment, liebevoll eingerichtet. Super Lage in der Altstadt von Valetta, fußläufig ist alles in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. Kostenloser Parkplatz wenige Meter entfernt. Küche komplett ausgestattet mit allem, was man im Alltag jeden Tag zum Kochen braucht. Sogar Snacks und eine kleine Auswahl an Getränken waren vorbereitet. Es war sehr sauber. Das Apartment ließ nichts zu wünschen übrig. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und würden das Apartment wieder wählen.

• clive (9/5): Fabulous. - Abigail met us at the apartment which was great, as it was midnight. Apartment fabulously renovated, extremely clean and in a quiet but central location. Other visitors have complained of no windows, but we knew this and it wasnt a problem for afew nights, longer might become frustrating, as you have to go outside to check weather, but we found this part of the quirkiness of the apartment. We had everything we needed and a bonus to have bread/milk etc provided. We had great stay thank you. The stone stairs with no rail ..... but thats being picky.

• Anja (10/5): - The location of the apartment is so convenient for sightseeing, it takes you literally 5 minutes to get to the main street of Valletta. It was very clean and cozy. Abigail (the host) was super helpful, gave us all the useful information, including restaurant recommendations and what to see and do in Valletta / Malta. She even provided fresh drinkable water and some snacks for breakfast. Since we flew in very early and had a late flight back home, an early check in and late check out were a blessing. Overall an amazing experience!!

• Yvonne (10/5): Excellent location, clean and modern apartment with all essentials, great host. - The location was most convenient to get anywhere by foot in Valletta. The apartment was modern, clean, beautifully decorated and equipped with anything one could need during our stay. Our host provided us with essential foods so we had sufficient for breakfast, snacks and beverages for the first few days of our stay. That was most convenient until we got our bearings and found a SPAR not too far away to buy anything else we wanted. Our host was most attentive and communicated very well with us.

De warmtepomp naast de slaapkamer maakte een constant geluid. Ik weet niet of je dit kon afzetten. Maar dat is het enigste.

It was a very nice touch. 4. I got all details about our stay, attractions, where to eat, what to see. The owner, Abigail is great and very helpful. 5. The apartment was equipped with a large kitchen, washing machine, everything what you need for the stay. Comfy bedroom with a bath! 1. Lack of day light and a little too noisy fun in the bathroom.

• Jo (8/5): - There are so many positives about the Capital Hideaway. Firstly, our host, Abigail, is exceptionally helpful and responsive to any queries or requirements. There was a little welcome pack on arrival which was a lovely touch, and Abigail sorted our airport transfers both ways, and gave us some great recommendations for a pool day (The Phoenecia Hotel was fabulous). The property is in a fantastic location, just a three-minute walk from the Centre of Valletta and the ferry port, yet tucked away on a quiet street with no noise or disturbances. The apartment itself is spotless, finished to a high standard, and very comfortable. It’s ideal for a couple or a young family (the pull-out bed in the living space would be fine for a child or an occasional extra guest). There are a few areas that could be improved: the extractor fans, particularly in the bathroom, are noisy; there’s nowhere to hang towels (we ended up draping ours over the bath in the bedroom), and while it’s not a basement apartment, the lack of natural light gives it that feel (you have to take steps down to it so likely to be tricky for anyone with accessibility needs). A couple of minor points, it has a washing machine (we didn't need to use it), but nevertheless, there is no obvious way to dry clothes, and the hairdryer is temperamental, so best to bring your own. None of these points spoiled our stay as overall, it’s a lovely apartment in a prime location, a fantastic host, and an excellent choice for a short stay in Valletta.

• Anna (10/5): Very pleasant stay, apartment conveniently located, very good value for money. - A very good and convenient location, close to the city center and the bus station, yet a bit off the beaten track, away from the hustle and bustle of the main street and the noise. A cute, charming entrance door with a knocker:) The apartment is modern and elegant, tastefully furnished, many lamps and atmosphere lightning are installed. We also loved a great shelf along the wall under the TV (it was very useful). Bed was very comfortable and quite large. Kitchen was well-equipped (additionally host prepared cold water and juice waiting for us in the fridge). The air conditioning worked flawlessly. The internet was good, and there was a smart TV with the option to log in to your Netflix account. However, it is important to note that this apartment is actually partially located in a basement (you have to descend a few steps), so daylight is limited and there are no views, but I knew this beforehand and it did not bother me. The lady host was great, she even offered us to store our luggage after checkout, which we gladly accepted. In general we felt taken care of. In my opinion this apartment was very good option to choose in my budget (very good value for money) and in this neighbourhood. It was very pleasent stay and honestly I can recommend this apartment. except a little bit loud ventilation in the bathroom and no shelf in the shower, everything else was fine for me.
• Turid (7/5): - Rent og ryddig. Leiligheten ligger i en kjeller, flere trappetrinn ned fra inngangsdøren.. Eneste naturlige dagslys var når vi åpnet vinduet i inngangsdøren til leiligheten. Vi overnattet der flere netter, så vi savnet dagslys. Synd at annonsen på Booking.com ikke tydeliggjorde at dette var en kjellerleilighet. De andre vinduene i leiligheten var inn mot kjellerrom uten naturlig dagslys.

• Eva (10/5): - The property is near the ferry and with that ferry you can travel to Sliema, near beach and also near main street in Valleta where you have every restaurants and bars. It is good because it is also one street away from main street and you dont hear any noise. You have everything. The apartment is really beautiful, the hosts are awesome, they helped us with every question i have for them on whatsupp, so yeah we will definitely recommend.

• Sophie (8/5): Very good - Perfect location, such a close walk to all amenities. Super friendly and accommodating hosts plus lovely to arrive to a bottle of wine and breakfast snacks. Great to have a Smart TV as well to use when settling down at the end of an evening out. Worked perfectly for us because we were out all day and just used the space as a base but if planned on spending a lot of time there might find the lack of natural daylight hard (though was not a problem for us!)

• Anna (3/5): Beautiful but lack transparency regarding its location - location is fantastic it is important to mention that the apartment is essentially a cellar, seven steps below ground, and this is not clearly stated in the booking description. There are no real windows, only small, semi-enclosed openings. It seems to me that the lack of transparency regarding this aspect is problematic. Every problem that I had in the apartment stemmed from the fact that it was virtually a beautifully done basement. So despite a bathtub in the bedroom, a quirky and too be frank quite bizarre mirror above the bed, golden taps, rails, hangers and handles and overall nice Maltese touch - this is still a basement apartment. Unfortunately, this comes with all the burdens and inconveniences of a cellar - there are no real windows - it is dark during the day with no daylight, massive humidity due to poor air circulation and malfunctioning A/C. In my opinion it is not suitable to host quests in winter. There is no dish-washer in the apartment, the fan in the bathroom is really loud. I am enclosing the pictures that can give you a little bit of wider perspective. Quite interestingly the blue colour visible in the pictures from kitchenette 'window' that you may take for blue sea or sky is a light bulb ;) A personal pro-tip - address all your concerns via booking.

The location is perfect, the apartment is down a quiet street but still a very short walk to the city centre. The host met us at the property and explained everything about it and the local area, as well as leaving some complimentary breakfast items and local beers. He was extremely helpful and sent us lots of information and recommendations. He also accommodated our requests around check in and check out so we can't thank him enough. Very close to the city centre and easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. Close to lots of visitor attractions and Heritage Malta properties. The property was lovely, very well finished, clean and tidy. It had all the amenities we needed and Thomas the host couldn’t have been more helpful. He contacted us before our trip to share lots of relevant information about the property and recommendations for our stay. He made sure we were met at the property when we arrived and he went out of his way to accommodate us when we checked out. I would highly recommend staying here. Absolutely nothing!

Its location was perfect—just steps away from charming streets, vibrant spots for drinks and dining, and with convenient free parking nearby. We stayed for four days and always found parking easily. The accommodation was exceptional, well-equipped, and spotlessly clean, comfortably accommodating three adults with room for one more. A special thanks to our host, Thomas, who went above and beyond. He kindly adjusted our check-in time and left a generous assortment of goodies in the fridge. Thomas was incredibly friendly and helpful, offering great recommendations for exploring the island. As our first Maltese encounter, he made a memorable impression and truly enhanced our experience. We fell in love with Malta, and Thomas's place played a significant role in that. Highly recommend!

• Peter (4/5): An apartment below street level with no windows to let in daylight. Misleading description! - The decor is good, if you like a modern style, and the place was clean. It seemed to be well-equipped. This small apartment below street level has no actual windows to the exterior and receives no daylight. There is a slot in the front door that you can open to get a partial view of bodies passing by, but you would have no privacy if you kept it open. We had to leave shortly after arrival and a telephone conversation with the owner, who refused to compromise on even a partial refund. The description of the apartment does not indicate the stark reality of being shut in. It is described as a beach front property but that is an exaggeration. There is beach nearby. Moreover, the term property (‘wifi available throughout the property’) in the description suggests a large space, when, in fact, it is a rather small apartment with a sofa bed, dining area and kitchen in the same space, and then a bedroom. Reaching the apartment was difficult, down a side alley and steps, that could easily be missed. In fact our taxi driver drove around in circles and we ended up finding it on foot - with all our luggage. It was claustrophobic and oppressive to be in this underground bunker, so we could not remain, and we lost 391 euros just like that!

Thomas was a lovely host, he met us on arrival even though it was late, and very kindly drove us to the airport as we had an early flight. He was very attentive - he kindly left some items for breakfast on our first day, which we appreciated.

• Chelsea (9/5): Nice clean pleasant apartment in the heart of Valletta - The location is ideal. You're right in the old town of Valletta, very easy access to restaurants, shopping, the ferries. The host is super nice and helpful. He even provided adapters so we could use our US plugs. And he answered any questions we had about Malta. There's a kitchette, so we could eat inside sometimes. It's a little bit underground so you don't have that many windows.

• Sabine (9/5): Fantastic little flat in old valletta - Really great place! Tom was Very helpful and great communicating before we arrived. He gave us great tips for places to visit and eat at. He also left us some treats for breakfast, nice touch! The location is super, in the middle of the old town but very quiet. The flat is very clean, and decorated with some nice Maltese crafts. This is a basement flat, so there's no natural light, although there are windows to allow for fresh air. The kids slept on the sofa bed which was in the main room. Although it was a nice sofa, it wasnt super comfortable due to the join between cushions. More than ok for kids ;) or heavy sleepers, but probably not great for more than a few nights. This is REALLY minor though.

Thomas is a wonderful host and easy to contact if required. Very kindly took me to the airport for an early flight. Provided information on things to do. I highly recommend this accommodation.
• Anna (9/5): Great location and value - Location was great, host was nice and very informative. Apartment was clean. Bathroom door did not close fully or lock was the only thing but overall great value.
• Eleni (7/5): Good - The code lock was very comfortable and easy to navigate. The apartment was roomy and nicely decorated. The area was pretty quiet and peaceful. The kitchen was well equipped. It was dark and there was not enough sunlight. The door of the bathroom and its proximity to the kitchen allowed not enough privacy.
• Madalina (10/5): Exceptional - Very thoughtful and hospitable host. The place is close to the attractions and very clean, it looks very nice, it is also a very nice temperature inside. Totally recommend it!

Modern, beautiful room, super clean and cozy. The host was extra kind and helpful, he offered to pick us up from the airport and sent us a full list of places to visit and other helpful information. • Chantal (9/5): perfect place to stay in Valletta - The place was very nice, clean and well-located. It has a large fridge and the kitchen is well equipped. The host was super helpful and let us leave our baggage before check-in and stay a little later on our last day (thank you!). Wifi worked perfectly.

• Agata (10/5): Fantastic - Fantastic place to visit Valetta and Malta. Perfect location, near to all Valetta's attraction and ferry. You can get everywhere in a few minutes walk. Appartment is located on very quiet street, so You can rest after busy day 😉 Thomas is fantastic host, very polite and helpful. In the appartment You have everything You need for few days in Malta. Everything is clean and comfortable. Thomas left for us a suprise - local beer, wine and some snacks ,which was really nice od him. We couldn't imagine better place for visiting this beautiful country.

Thomas, the owner, is very friendly and helpful he was always there to help us and give us recommendations for our trip. I 100% recommend that and would definitely stay again
• Emma (10/5): Exceptional - The location of the accomodation was the best. It was practicly in the center but the street was really quiet. Everything was clean, we felt comfortable and the accomodation had also the air conditioner which was a huge plus considering the hot summer days. Thomas was the best host. He was willing to pick us from the airport and also take us to the airport. He gave us very useful tips what to visit and what to see. He was helpful and caring.

Our flight was delayed until past midnight, he arranged to pick us up from the airport, and brought us some breakfast things for our kids as he knew we had arrived too late to buy anything. He was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. The place was perfect for what we needed in Valetta with two adults and two kids. A queen sized bed and a sofa bed. Clean, full kitchen, air conditioning and a fan. Watch you don’t bump your head on the way out!

• Lewis (9/5): Amazing location, welcoming hosts - Great location, lovely, modern apartment. The host was very helpful with local recommendations and ideas of what to do when in Valletta. Some nice local snacks and drinks were a welcome addition. It's a new apartment so some very minor teething problems, but nothing that would take away from fully enjoying your time here.
