• Birgit (10/5): Jederzeit wieder - Vor 10 Jahren waren wir schon mal dort, allerdings bei einem anderen Eigentümer der Lodge. Die Lage, in der Nähe zum Addo ist optimal und das Anwesen ist sehr schön renoviert und äußerst gepflegt. Danke Kayla, für das gute Frühstück. Wir haben die 3 Tage dort sehr genossen, am Pool relaxt und den Addo selbst erkundet. Highlight war die geführte Safari mit dem tollen Guide Talent, super!

• Mariana (10/5): - Eine sehr charmante und gut gelegene Unterkunft, wir würden jeder Zeit wieder kommen,die Besitzerin und Ihre Familie waren sehr zuvorkommend und haben uns viele Tipps gegeben. Wir konnten auch die Touren zum Addo Elephant Park sowie die Schotia Safari problemlos und spontan buchen,einfach großartig.
• Lisa (10/5): Wunderschöner Aufenthalt - Eine super Lage nah am Addo. Die Gastgeberin war sehr freundlich und hat uns mit der Buchung eines Game Drive zum Schotia geholfen. Die Lage ist ruhig und sicher. Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und ist liebevoll und charmant eingerichtet. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

• Laura (8/5): - Nettes Personal, es war alles sauber und entsprach den Bildern Auf dem Hinweg zur Unterkunft kam es vermutlich aufgrund von Starkregen zu Erdrutschen, dadurch entstanden riesige Schlaglöcher auf der Straße. Am nächsten Tag waren diese beseitigt worden und man konnte wieder normal an die Unterkunft fahren. Einen anderen Weg gab es zwar, dieser war aufgrund des Starkregens nicht befahrbar, da die komplette Straße unter Wasser stand.

• Aloys (6/5): chagrijnige gastvrouw in schitterende tuin - Het Addo park en het Wildlife Restaurant buiten het park. Dit laatste hebben we heel erg lekker Springbok gegeten. Super locatie, mooie tuin en geweldige inrichting. De ontvangst van de gastvrouw in Silos Guesthouse. Omdat we erg laat aankwamen en de restaurantjes gesloten waren, vroegen we de gastvrouw of ze eventueel een boterham of wat fruit had. Nee, ze had helemaal niets in huis.....vreemd. Ze had wel geappt of ze een take-away maaltijd voor ons moest inkopen, maar we wilden liever naar een lekker restaurant, niet wetende dat deze gesloten waren. Ook was ze totaal niet in ons geinteresseerd vroeg niet of we lekker geslapen hadden, of we wat info wilde etc. Kortom geen aardige gastvrouw in tegenstelling tot al onze andere ervaringen.

Mooie omgeving De weg naar de accomodatie betrof een gravel road. Zeer afgelegen en donker. Geen lunch of avondeten, maar wel goed restaurant in de buurt. Tip: addo wildlife (tangelo restaurant)

• Melony (7/5): I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay—everything I needed was taken care of. - The rooms were a bit cold, as the air conditioning did not work very well to warm them. Maybe, electric blankets on the beds in winter will help too.

• Karen (8/5): Very good - Kyla was a super hostess as usual. Friendly and accommodating. Room was spot.on, shower amazing. Love hearing that solar is coming in the future, Cutlery tray could use a clean. A kitchen cloth would be useful to have for wiping up accidental spills, etc.
• Andrea (8/5): Fine stay close to Addo NP main entrance - Simple and nice place, well located for Addo NP visits. We didn’t use their safari nor breakfast options, so can’t comment on that. The garden was lovely to wake up to, and Kyla was helpful and responsive Despite being close to Addo, the roads to get there weren’t tarred roads and it would have been good to know beforehand (google maps sent us on a long tricky to drive road which we could have avoided with hindsight). The place isn’t fully at modern excellent standards, but good enough still. Supposedly also full of mosquitos, but with the aircon on we didn’t suffer from it, and it may be a feature anywhere near Addo anyway!

The lady that checked us in was friendly and helpful despite being at the end of her pregnancy in this heat which is very impressive :-) The shower was awesome and we were pleasantly surprised with how equipped the kitchenette is

Enjoyed the walks in the orchards and the swims in the swimming pool. Short distance to Addo National Park. We enjoyed the beautiful gardens and the quiet environment. Will definitely be back.

• Helen (8/5): A beautiful quiet farm with great facilities. - It was so quiet. The room was huge with lots of facilities and the electric blanket was amazing at night. Breakfast was good and Kayla was really helpful. It was further away from addo than I thought and our first night getting there was a bit hairy as it felt like we were in the middle of nowhere. However this was also a great plus too.
• Isabel (10/5): Comfy house near Addo! - If you want to visit Addo National Park and have a comfortable place to stay after a long day, this is the place for you! The house we stayed in was super spacious and had all the details for a perfect stay. Kitchen utensils, complimentary water, a nice lounge. Plus everything was super clean. We were there in winter and you have everything you need to stay warm. Air conditioning and even electric blankets on all the beds! Special mention to Kyla, our host, who is super nice and also recommended us a very good restaurant for dinner near the guest house. If we come back to Addo we would repeat at Silos Guest House for sure!

• Sarah (10/5): Perfect place to stay near Addo Nationalpark - Our stay at Silos was just perfect - the room was spacious, well-equipped (even with a heating function for the bed), clean, with a very nice terrace and cozy. The garden of the guesthouse is beautiful and the citrus farm surrounding invites for walks or jogging. The host Kyla is the nicest host we have ever had and did everything to make us feel at home! We also did 3 safaris (full day, morning and sunrise) which were just amazing with the guides Ronnie jr. and Thomas - big recommendation doing them! We would definitely come back!

Lady who booked us in was excellent, found us a restaurant to eat at - no easy task. Take own drink and snacks. Skip breakfast, very weird, chicken nugget, salad , egg!

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality that set the tone for our entire stay. One of the standout features of this guest house is the unparalleled sense of security it provides. As a parent, ensuring the safety of my children is always a top priority, and I was immensely impressed by the measures taken to ensure a secure environment. From well-lit pathways to attentive staff members, every aspect of the guest house exudes a sense of safety and tranquility. Furthermore, the hospitality extended to us by the staff members was truly exceptional. They went above and beyond to cater to our needs and make us feel at home throughout our stay. Whether it was offering recommendations for local attractions or ensuring that our accommodations were comfortable and inviting, their dedication to guest satisfaction was evident at every turn. Of course, one of the highlights of our stay was the fantastic swimming pool. Our children absolutely loved splashing around and enjoying the refreshing waters, and it provided hours of entertainment for the whole family.

• Sandra (9/5): Nearby Addo Elephant Park and safe place - The room was big and neat. The gravel road to the property isnt that bad. It is no problem for any car in my opinion. We chose this property because it is nearby Addo Elephant Park entrance (15 minutes drive). Good value for the money. On Booking.com it is stated that the property only accepts cash. This is not the case. Card payment was possible. Maybe the management should update this information. One light in the shower was broken. Not a big thing though. The private and secured parking lot is under a big tree. Unfortunately therefore over night the car was covered with bird poo.
