Fleur (10/5): A perfect, quiet getaway minutes from stunning beaches - This cute and spacious house is perfect for a solo traveller. Very comfortable, and well equipped. Very safe, and quiet area. Perfect location, within 10-15 mins walk from Patnem, and Palolem. 5 mins walk to the nearest general store. The host's family couldn't have been kinder, or more hospitable. They went out of their way to welcome me, and take care of me. Excellent wifi and the AC was a blessing at night, especially, in the hot and humid April weather. There was hot water, and the kitchen had all the basic essentials to prepare food. It's an absolute gem of a place. There was nothing negative, but two things to be aware of: The path to the house is not well lit, so you MUST carry a torch at night, as it's pitch black in places. The house is surrounded by beautiful mango groves, but occasionally the odd mango falls on the roof with a bang, so if you're easily startled it's good to know this will happen so you don't freak out.
George (6/5): Good value for money and a great base from which to explore the area! - The location of the self-contained property is ideal for access to Colomb Beach. Patnam and Palolem beaches are a 20 minute walk away. Agonda and Turtle Beach are a 15 minute auto ride away! The property is spacious, equipped with split a/c, washing machine and wi-fi. The host is very helpful and keen to resolve any issues. A neighbour, Sayed has his own auto and is very convenient. Piccolo Dreams bar/restaurant is located across the road from the property and is well worth a visit! The bedding and mattress needs to be updated. The norm in India is to sleep on hard mattresses, but I prefer a deeper, sprung mattress. There could be a wider rangerof cooking implements and crockery.
