• Silvia (10/5): Un soggiorno indimenticabile, immersi nella natura e in ogni comfort desiderabile - La struttura è molto ben curata. Dentro la casa regna un’atmosfera di grande relax e di commistione con la natura. La struttura è dotata di ogni comfort possibile oltre alla sauna, la vasca dell’acqua calda, il camino è un patio estremamente accogliente. La posizione è favorevole ad avvistare l’aurora boreale in quanto la casa si trova a ridosso del fiume ghiacciato ed è priva di inquinamento luminoso circostante. Il proprietario è stato gentilissimo e super disponibile ad accogliere ogni nostra richiesta.

• Claudia (10/5): Would 100% recommend! - Great location in the middle of the nature, yet also very close to the center of Ivalo. The view from the house over the lake is really stunning. Nothing!
• Niranjan (9/5): Magical winter vacation in villa Karhukumpu - Jyrki is a wonderful host, he shared detailed instructions before arriving and also helped prepare the schedule of activities. He reserved the rides for us. Other than that we loved the villa, its location and amenities provided such as private Sauna, hot tub on the deck, Lappish Kota (hut) etc. The villa is very well equipped with lot of attention to the details such as provision of headlamps or electric socket converter for the international tourists. There was only one shower area and the bathrooms can be a bit bigger.

Our group especially enjoyed looking at the stars while in the hot tub, the sauna, the fireplace, and also the snowmobiling tour provided by Jryki. We would love to come back one day :)

Todo estaba dispuesto al detalle. Las vistas idílicas en un emplazamiento tranquilo en medio de la naturaleza. Las fotografías muestran tal cual lo que encuentras. Ha superado nuestras expectativas. Especial mención a Jyrki, un anfitrión excepcional, muy atento y amable.
• Onyx (10/5): Outstanding host in dreamlike surroundings - The villa is located in the middle of the forest by the river Ivalo. The location is fantastic and the accommodation is beautifully designed and excellently equipped. Nothing was missing. The sauna and hot tub were a highlight. However, we didn't dare to go into the icy river. Jyrki, the landlord, is super nice and helpful. Our snowmobile tour through the forest, over lakes and on the river with a picnic in the forest was unforgettable. The very tasty, freshly prepared traditional reindeer meal that the hosts served us is also not to be missed. We had a wonderful time there. The place is fabulous. The host, Jyrki, was absolutely exceptional. He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. His flexibility and willingness to accommodate any request made the entire experience stress-free, and no question was ever too much. The house itself was fantastic—well-equipped with all the necessary amenities and located in a beautiful, serene area. The location was ideal, giving us a true sense of Lapland’s stunning nature. I highly recommend booking excursions through Jyrki. We had the opportunity to experience snowshoe walking, ice fishing, cross-country skiing, and a snowmobile tour, all of which were absolutely amazing. Jyrki’s knowledge of the region and its culture made the tours even more memorable, and it was such a privilege to explore Lapland with him as our guide. To top it all off, we were lucky enough to witness the magical Northern Lights right from the house—an incredible experience that we will cherish forever. I would 100% recommend Villa Karhukumpu to anyone looking for an authentic, comfortable, and memorable stay in Lapland. Jyrki and his villa truly made our trip extraordinary!
