Guest Reviews
- Daniel (8/5): An amazing villa but a little unfinished. - The location is fantastic. Very secluded and quiet. The pool table, pool, and outside eating/seating was amazing. We had many nights eating outside as a family. Hammock and sun loungers were great on the lazy days. There were ample towels provided and the kitchen was stocked with utensils, cutlery, plates, and appliances. Wine was provided on arrival. It's close enough to Catania (30 minutes) and there is a local town (Lentini) that has a nice store for essentials (Conad) and fuel stops, ATMs, etc. There is a Lidl too. The host provided lots of links to local restaurants and even helped us organise a tour of Mt Etna! WiFi at the villa was perfect for the kids and a large TV in the lounge with Sky Q. There are olives, chilli, pomegranate, and lime trees growing on the property that you are free to use. The pool is cleaned each morning and there is an external CCTV. There are certain things that appear to be unkept either because it's unnoticed or not reported. The hot tub would not heat up despite asking for help. We didn't get to experience that. The upstairs sink is coming away from the wall slightly, the downstairs shower has a small leak in the corner of the shower glass,, the downstairs bedroom light fittings were a little unfinished, and the electricity/lights would periodically flicker on and off.
- Roopesh (8/5): A great location to explore the eastern side of the island north east to south east - A spacious property and great pool The landscaping and the gardens were exceptional and the views were amazing The property was laid out well. We had some issues with the electricity the cooker circuits kept cutting out whilst we were cooking so we had to restrict to two electric rings. We reported it to the company so hopefully the will sort it out
- Emily (10/5): Exceptional - The property was picturesque and matched the online listing. The villa is very large and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen. The location is near a grocery store and a nice suburban town with a few restaurant options, and it is within 1-2 hours driving distance of all the best tourist cities on the east coast of Sicily. The host was very responsive and kind, and clearly takes pride in the property. He is on-site to help with any needs. The electrical system could use some upgrading, but everything worked perfectly. Note that the owner will be on-site so don't expect total privacy--this was totally fine with us, but good to be aware. Also note that this is not a tourist destination or town--it's better to use as a base to get to other areas and to have a beautiful, quiet stay in the countryside.
- George (8/5): Nice stay every morning greeted by a cute stray dog - Amazing views Hard to find
- Emma (8/5): Relaxing Villa - The property was lovely, the adult kids loved the pool table. The swimming pool was a little cold (early Oct) but it was lovely to lay on the beds near the pool. There was a little seating area near the pool which was lovely too. The kitchen could have been better equipped for cooking, there was only a couple of old pots/pans. Huge fridge. There is a pizza oven but there was no wood or any instruction on how to use it. The games/gym area was great but had no air-conditioning and very large windows so it was really hot even with the windows open in the afternoon. Could do with some block out binds. The owner actually lives on site, so you are not there alone. We visited Taormina and Etna during our stay. WIFI was good. Some work being done along the back wall off the garden, I am sure the owner will have that fixed up by now - we had a visit by a couple of local dogs that came into the property, but they seemed gentle.
We enjoyed our stay. Not really anything we didnt like. But maybe some new pots/pans
- Ria (4/5): Not as expected!! - Location - very peaceful away from the city chaos. The owner (not the person renting out this property on booking) was very kind and welcoming. Filthy shower (see photo), outdoor area not clean, exposure of electrical wires (complete electrical hazard), lighting and electrical system needs a complete upgrade (it was tripping when using a number of electrical appliances and lighting), single bedroom on the mezzanine with broken furniture and not up to standard and AC too small for the room, main stairs without rails - very dangerous, broken tiles outside, water leakage in bathrooms, some ACs clearly not cleaned and old. Photos of a double bedroom with the single bedroom on the mezzanine were not shown in booking.com pictures (the worse rooms of the villa). Villa not family and child friendly. For the price paid, this is definitely not what I was expecting. Villa needs a complete renovation, not just the two nice rooms advertised. Sicilia bedda holiday, which is the company which rents out this villa on booking.com on behalf of the owner - completely unhelpful, arrogant and rude - stay away from this holiday company!!
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - Location is excellent, place is very peacefully ideal location to relax
- Eric (10/5): Exceptional - The villa, view, location, everything was exceptional.
- Lenice (9/5): Beautiful Villa for wonderful family holiday - Beautiful views, fabulous pool- lots of space inside and out No air conditioning in the living space
- Sheetal (7/5): Amazing villa with good views - Views from the villa are quite nice. The pool is a godsend in the heat. There's an outdoor seating for alfresco dining, which was close to the kitchen and shaded under a canopy and so naturally became the hub. There are only 2 bathrooms in the villa between 3 rooms, 1 of which was ensuite. Therefore the guest bathroom served as a bathroom for the other 2 rooms. There were some essential items missing that would have added value to the stay - clothes rack, bowls, kettle, toaster, microwave oven, travel adapters, optional mid-week cleaning.
- Maria (10/5): Perfect. - Absolutely loved everything. Cut off and peaceful yet not a long drive away from attractions. Gorgeous interior and exterior. Perfect for a short or long stay away from the crazy work. Only pointer would be that some furniture in the kitchen area was old and you had to be careful when opening.
