• Christian (9/5): Ein ruhiger und entspannter Platz - Die Unterkunft ist neu, gemütlich und sauber. Eine schöne Terrasse mit tollen Ausblick rundet das ganze ab. Sollten wir wieder kommen ist es unsere Wahl. Die Unterkunft ist ein wenig vom der "Mitte" entfernt und somit entsprechend ruhig. Für uns war das gut. Ein Laundry service für einen guten Preis von 30.000kip kilo ist vorhanden. Der Vollständigkeit halber: - Ein Wäscheständer wäre toll. Das macht immer dann Sinn, wenn man schnell noch etwas waschen möchte und keine Zeit hat für den Laundry service. - Die Matratzen sind hart. Das ist in Asien im Allgemeinen oft so, aber hier würde ich mir komfortable Matratzen wünschen. Das ist aber Klagen auf hohen Niveau.

• Vivianne (10/5): Klare Empfehlung. - Eines der schöneren Hotels unserer Reise. Ich war so begeistert, dass wir spontan eine Nacht dazu gebucht haben. Schönes grosses Zimmer mit tollem outdoor-Badezimmer, netter Terrasse mit grossartigem Blick, was zum verweilen einlädt. Das feine Frühstück kann spontan für einen kleinen Preis dazu gebucht werden. Der junge Mann an der Rezeption hat uns geholfen, einen Transport nach Luang Prabang zu buchen. Tip top. Nichts.

Ich bin nach einigen Tagen nochmals in diese Unterkunft zurückgekommen, da sie mir so gut gefallen hat. Sehr ruhig und trotzdem nur ein paar Gehminuten von allem entfernt. -

• Wendy (10/5): Fantastisch uitzicht, heerlijke bedden - Dit is zo’n mooi plekje 😍 het uitzicht is fantastisch, de bedden liggen heerlijk en de wc en douche zijn groot en deels ‘ buiten ‘ met planten, is echt heel leuk gedaan en handig. Personeel is behulpzaam. Ik zou hier minstens 4 nachten boeken. Er is veel te doen in Nong Khiaw

This place are chilling tired travellers - hot shower, good breakfast (may be better to make it menu, food will be hot), big room (sleepers - are next necessary buying), splendid view, hammock, grass on patio. For next level of comfort you should use a refills containers for soap and shampoo. Breakfast should be cooked by menu, buffet is not your strong side, food been cold. And major things - coffee machine or good Laos ground coffee device, nescafe are terrible.

• Maximilian (8/5): - - great view from the room on the river - nice setting and well equipped room - friendly and helpful owner - there was a small issue with the electricity (it was resolved quickly though) - the two day tour that i booked via the hotel was different than promised (i have been told only in the morning of the tour that it had changed). I Booked the tour mainly for the guided jungle hikes and the hiking times ended up to be only about half as long as described.

• Ann (10/5): Glad we stayed here - This is the kind of place you're happy to get back to and relax in at night. Comfortable bed, very clean bathroom and sheets, awesome breakfast choices with a lovely outdoor terrace for breakfast and hammock for afternoon relaxation. The staff speaks good English and is very kind and helpful. The privacy fence between the outdoor spaces needs to be completed so you don't have to worry about seeing the guy in the next hammock over :) Prices could be more competitive for local excursions.

• Sophie (9/5): - I stayed here for one night to enjoy a relaxed day before leaving Nong Khiaw, and this guesthouse truly provides the perfect laid-back atmosphere. The room was spacious and stylish, and the bathroom even exceeded my expectations—better than in the photos, and with a reliably hot shower (not always a given in Laos!). Relaxing in the hammock while taking in the beautiful views was wonderfully tranquil. I only wish I could’ve stayed longer. Be aware that the guesthouse is located a bit outside of the town center but with cute cafes and restaurants in walking distance. There were some spider webs behind the bed and in the bathroom and the bed linen looked a bit old with stains. Besides that, everything was perfect!

• Carsten (9/5): Ein wunderschönes kleines Hotel in grandioser Lage - Das kleine Hotel liegt etwas oberhalb des Flusses, mit grandiosem Blick auf die gegenüberliegenden Felswände. Die Zimmer in der ersten Reihe sind sehr angenehm und mit allem Nötigen ausgestattet, die obligatorische Hängematte auf der Terrasse ist ein wunderbarer Ort zum ‚abhängen‘. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfreich, auch was Ausflüge angeht. Das Frühstück auf der Sonnenterrasse über dem Fluss ist ganz wunderbar. Das kalte offene Bad am Morgen - es wird doch oft frisch in der Nacht. Aber die Dusche wärmt dann sofort!

Tasty and large buffet breakfast for $5, on terrace overlooking the river. Staff helpful to book bus. Friendly staff available whenever I needed them. Comfortable bed too. Very good restaurant right opposite, and close to others too. Only that I couldn't stay longer!

• Germana (9/5): Schönes Zimmer mit Flussblick - Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Terrasse und Blick auf den Fluss, das war wirklich sehr schön. Zu den netten Lokalen geht man nicht einmal 5 Minuten, dort gibt es auch Frühstück in allen Varianten. Das Zimmer hatte alles, was man braucht, vor allem ein großes Bad mit vielen Pflanzen und nach oben hin offen (natürlich mit einem Moskitonetz). Das Haus ist ziemlich neu, es war sauber und sehr ruhig. Wir würden wieder dort absteigen.

• Stanley (9/5): Beautiful room by the river! - Honestly cannot fault this room! Beautifully designed and tastefully decorated. Fantastic view of the river and a great place to chill and relax. Felt posher than many of our other hotels for a fraction of the price. The jungle bathroom was a standout! We had very minimal interaction with the staff, who didn't tell us anything about the room or the area. But it was okay as check in and check out were smooth regardless.

• Oliver (9/5): - Cozy stay in Nong Khiaw. I originally only booked 2 nights but extended to 4 nights. Nong Khiaw is super small, so everything is within walking distance, including the viewpoints. Nice view of the river from your room and chairs and a hammock to relax. The bathroom is an enclosed garden bathroom, which is pretty cool (netting on the opening to outside, so no bugs.) The only negative was that the AC requires the room key to work. Only bothered me when I got back from a long hike, sweaty and hot, however.

Motorcycle rental, food, day trips, laundry, transfer to Luang Prabang - had to arrange everything myself at another property. One expects more enthusiastic staff and better services at a place that charges 3x the price that other hotels in the area do.

• Paul (8/5): Very good - Nice terrace with view on the river and mountain behind it. The semi open bathroom is nice, with plants where you would expect a mirror. Good shower. The whole experience was a bit unpersonal, there being no reception staff in the evening, night or early morning. Also there is no breakfast available.

• Danai (10/5): Dreamy riverside stay in Nong Khiaw - I adored the design in the very spacious room -airy with beautiful lighting and local colour. The big plant in the open bathroom and, most of all, the incredible terrace with the hammock having the most breath-taking view! There was a big desk, a fridge and plastic sleepers, which made everything more comfortable. Staff helped me a lot with directions and tips during my trip and offered many options to pay by card, dollars etc. The WiFi was good, which is also very important. I wish I had more days! There's usually more toiletries in ho(s)tels for the price. The room doesn't need to be cleaned everyday but the entrance was full of bug wings etc., could've used a quick pass at least every other day.

• Minko (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortable, modern. Nice and helpful staff, easy to communicate in English. Fantastic view. The Amanda and Meexok where we spent one night was swarming with mosquitoes. We must have killed 20 in one evening and we had to sleep with a net. I think they were coming from the vents or a crack in the ceiling. I didn't like how many useless plastic things they give, like 200ml bottles, toothbrushes, single dose soaps. I think anyone who comes would have a toothbrush and would be happy with the big bottles, and why not a dispenser. But that's my environmental concerns. The Amanda place, closer to the river, was lovely. No mosquito problems there. Both places were loud since the morning with noise of construction but not terrible.

Manager is friendly and helpful for requests. Connected us to a tour agency which we had a good experience with. View of the apartment is stunning. Walking distance to the city center. My skin irritated after doing the laundry here, so I was a bit annoyed I had done so much laundry here which I had to re-do later in my trip. Didn’t really get a resolution on this but to be fair, my partner also did his laundry here and he had no problems. Also I wish there would be soap dispensers in the bathroom.
