• kevin (10/5): Fabulous - Amazing property accomodation. It met all the requirements I needed for my family especially tbe kids enjoyed being in the farm and getting to see the horses and the sheep. They were very excited to get up every morning and see kangaroos around the property. Well set facilities, very comfortable beds with warmers/heaters in every room. Thanks Michelle and Peter. Nothing at this stage.

Despite being otherwise equipped with absolutely every utensil, the only slight disappointment was the lack of a good cook's knife

• Lucy (10/5): Amazing Stay in the High Country - We absolutely loved the cottage! Location was fabulous. Far enough from town to feel secluded, but only 15 minutes for supplies, restaurants etc. The cottage has a gorgeous, homey, cosy feel. From the wood look fire to the decor - it was all gorgeous. Comfy, cosy beds with radiators for the cold winter nights as well. The welcome goodies and toiletries to use were an added bonus. 100% would stay here again. Nothing!

• Amanda (10/5): I brought my mum and my adult daughter and our stay was just what we needed for a great weekend. - The location was fantastic, so quiet and peaceful perfect for relaxing. The Cottage was excellent, All the amenities were clean and tidy and welcoming. Nothing the hosts have done an amazing job of creating a wonderful place to stay.

The cottage itself is outstanding with everything you could want such as comfortable beds, soft towels, well-appointed kitchen, Wi-Fi, smart TV and very thoughtful decor. You feel at peace the moment you walk in the door. You can sit on the front or back verandah and soak in the picturesque countryside and watch the farm animals going about their day. • Kathy (10/5): We loved everything! - This is such a beautiful property inside and out. Peaceful surrounds and lovely views. Thoughtful attention to detail, and everything was very comfortable and clean. We particularly enjoyed having our morning coffee on the back patio while watching the birdlife by the dam and cows on the hill. Sunsets were spent on the front verandah with a glass of wine and BBQ dinner. Nights, star gazing from the garden chairs. The hosts were so welcoming and also respectful of our privacy. Fast wifi and good Optus phone reception. 100% recommend for a relaxing stay!

• Sharon (10/5): Perfect weekend country escape - Nice getaway and very comfortable and charming cottage. Place was spotless and loved the welcome basket and fresh milk in the fridge. Very peaceful with wonderful views and farm life. We really enjoyed all of the amenities and had a peaceful and relaxing time here. Not far from Mansfield and would highly recommend.

Loved that it was secluded and the views every morning were gorgeous with beautiful hills and animals around. The amenities were more than what a usual hotel would offer. So homely, we got to make dinners in the house as everything was provided for(of course we got our own groceries). The beds were so so comfy. Beautiful house as well. • Josephine (10/5): Exceptional - House is amazing warm, cozy and comfortable! Beds are some of the best I have laid on. Heating in all rooms perfect for winter time we all loved our stay! Including my 6 month old baby. Stayed here to go to the snow but enjoyed being around the area and the house much more then expected. Wish some animals were closer we didn’t want to wander around to much wanted to respect everyone’s privacy on the farm but the ones my daughter did see she loved looking at :)

On a very cold Victorian weekend we enjoyed the warm ,well furnished and very pretty cottage. The beds and linen were amazingly comfortable. The whole cottage felt like a hug. There is a very well set up kitchen for self catering and two very clean and well appointed bathrooms with delicious bath wash and amenities. If I had overseas visitors I would bring them here to experience a beautiful, quiet slice of Countryside Australia.The hosts were beyond accomodating and excellent with communication.
• Michelle (10/5): An absolutely beautiful cottage. - This cottage was the perfect size for our family weekend in Mansfield. The 3 generous sized bedrooms were just right for us and our 2 adult children (the eldest was with his girlfriend). The main bedroom has a ensuite and all 3 have heaters for those chilly winter nights. It has been decorated and furnished with everything that you need, including the kitchen, but is not cluttered. It is not far from Mansfield and the host property is so peaceful and beautiful that it makes this cottage very quiet and relaxing. We all absolutely loved our stay at Hillview Cottage.

Plenty of activities to do close by like fishing, hiking, wineries, etc. It was a very relaxing getaway with great hosts. Couldn't recommend it more highly! A smart TV would have been great but there were some DVDs that we made use of in the evenings.
• Kaye (10/5): Comfortable, relaxing, clean with more extras that I have found in many other places. - Comfortable, relaxing feel to just get away from everything, with the sound of the birds to wake us up in the mornings beautiful Also to find that all I need was food & drink everything else was supplied, it was like a home away from home. Not being able to stay longer. Having my elderly mother with us maybe a rail or a ramp would have been easier to get up to the deck for her.

Lots of thoughtful touches throughout the property, had everything you could need and in such a peaceful spot. Loved watching the cows from the ensuite!! Spectacular sunsets from the verandah and mist over the pond in the morning. The only thing we wished for was more time here as none of us wanted to leave.

• Charlotte (10/5): Great stay! - We stayed at Hillsview Cottage over a weekend and we loved it! The cottage has a really warm atmosphere and it is well furnished with taste. We particularly enjoyed the fire pit outside where we toasted marshmallows, the fireplace inside by which we played games and the comfy bedding. The outdoor is beautiful surrounded with nature, peace and quiet. Also we spent a day at Mt Buller which is only 45mns away from the cottage and Mansfield town is a very short drive away. Michelle and Peter are lovely and really accommodating. It was a perfect weekend away from busy Melbourne 😌

We woke up to the view of the cows outside our bathroom window, our hosts, Michelle & Peter had the fire pit stacked and ready for us both days. We all slept so well as the bedding and linen was of the highest quality. We were even commenting on the fresh smell of the towels! Thankyou for such a wonderful stay!

It's very clean and comfortable!! I would prefer the indoor to be fragrance free and the bed linen smelled fabric softener perfume which I don't like.

• Enosh (10/5): Best country cottage stay!! - This stay exceeded our groups' expectations as it was one of the best country stays we have been on. Serene location, quiet with plenty of privacy, next to farm animals and pondage, cosy fire pit area, clean, spacious cottage, and perfect for families. Stones throw away from Mansfield and about 45 min from mt Buller, so great location. To add, Michelle was prompt and a great host. We will be back again soon!

• Matt (10/5): Beautiful farm stay in a peaceful valley - The location is superb, close to town but very secluded. Basically the whole valley is the single property that Hillview Cottage resides on. The owners also live on the property, but their house is quiet separate from the cottage. The cottage was spotlessly clean and well decorated. The beds were super warm and comfy. The gas fireplace heats the cottage quickly. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you need, and the frypans are in good condition. Incredibly peaceful location, in high country rural land. Goats, cows and sheep around on the property, but cute and added to the stay, kept very separate from the cottage and never a nuisance. The hosts were lovely but left us to our privacy after meeting them on the second day. We were greeted with a lovely hamper including a bottle of red wine, Tim Tams, chips, milk, and fresh flowers, which was a nice touch. Plenty of good drinking water, and instant gas hot water. Hot water temperature sometimes varies a little, can be hard to get the shower temp right. No WiFi available; Telstra coverage was weak but usable. But really, look out the window... Do you need wifi with views like this? We didn't ☺
• Ampalavanapillai (9/5): a pleasant stay at this beautiful location and great surroundings. cottage has everything you can ask for ( comfortable - perfect location surrounded by views of hill country and farm with a lots of animals, proximity to Mansfield town, all great sight seeing and alpine National park areas are really within 1 hr driving! nothing to mention, if pressed, WIFI could be nice!

The bed was comfortable, the pillows was soft, the kitchen had everything you would need. We enjoyed having a barbecue on the decking with friends. A/C worked well. Phone reception was great. Not far to town. Would love to stay again 💜

Smelt fresh and clean with just the right amount of accessories and extras that someone may want when away from home DVDs to watch, board games books on the area, lovely gift basket of goodies.
