• Ling Hsuan (9/5): - the environment was really good and they provided Netflix to watch which we really enjoyed. the room is bigger than I thought. very clean and quiet.the bed was so comfortable which made me sleep in second. They provided a clean kitchen and nice tea &coffee!! Nice. they gave us the first room near the entrance, which allowed us to hear every noise outside our room. the wall is quite thin to block the sound. It's better to let everyone know plz close the door gently. that will be very thoughtful.

• Izzah Athirah (10/5): fantastic but - spacious free parking space, no need to walk so much to get into room, easy self check in, very nice and quiet and peaceful, away from busy road, its so clean, love no shoes policy like walking into home, reasonable price, pantry got coway, love the minimalist aesthetic look, would definitely repeat good for a short getaway/staycation only 1 iron provided at lobby, if another room using it, u have to wait for your turn until they return it which is dont know when. wish iron provided in each room/ just several more when we arrived the gate was locked. so we parked at mount miriam hosp to only got scolded by guard there. but in the hotel's instructions it was ok to park there. do both parties actually have agreement or not?

• Kamran (6/5): Good place, terrible management and water stopped working! - Clean and room was as described The place was advertised with check in from 11am, then the host messaged to say 3pm. I told them we need to check in early as we have family and they said there was an extra price, they should have checked the time on booking.com firsthand! This was very poor customer service. To add to that, the water stopped working before we went to bed and only came back online in the morning, meaning I could not shower before bed. I would not recommend staying at this place if you want somewhere comfortable for your family, they didn’t even offer any refund for the inconvenience!

• Jaikanth (9/5): It was a short stay but a really pleasant experience. - Excellent instruction given to me before arrival. Made contact with me to make sure I understood where to park, what to do when I arrive & direction to the place. Room was clean & comfortable. The dining had all the items that was needed. I like the Japanese concept. Though it was not an issue for me but I realized that if I need to bring my mom (whom I sometimes bring along), may not be able to use the stairs.

• Siti (10/5): VERY RECOMMENDED! COMFORTABLE AND COZY STAY! - very clean, very cozy , comfortable stay for family. Very minimalist design. just very minor suggestion, to add extra mirror outside the toilet. because its quite uneasy to rely on only 1 mirror in toilet escpecially for ladies.

• Y.meng (9/5): Superb - We had a wonderful 3 days and 2 nights stay in Simple Sanctuary! The room and bathroom are so spacious and clean. It gives a cozy and comfortable atmosphere and we had very good rest during our stay. Their service was also tip top. I would definitely recommend it to my friends who are looking for a comfortable stay in Penang. Would come back again! Thanks!

• Erica (8/5): Very good - I love the Tatami and Japanese Themed concept ! The staff is extremely responsive while onsite, very helpful. I stayed for almost 3 weeks and booked 3 separate rooms. What Simple Sanctuary could have done better is to install exhaust fan for their toilets. The smell is unbearable whenever my roommate does their business. And additional comment is, there was one night, a family booked late, roughly at 8pm, when they arrived at 10pm. There was no one, no instructions, no one to entertain them as well. Worse part is, we gave them the staff contact, but there was no respond. The poor family had to go elsewhere at midnight to look for another place to stay.
