• Fortescue (4/5): Not value for money. - Away from traffic noise. Our bedroom & bathroom was comfortable & clean but over the top expensive. Limited parking. Exterior & entrance was dirty & uninviting. Quite a distance from restaurants. Shared facilities ie kitchen & TV area. Old AC in room blew circuit but no msg to say it should not be used.

Not knowing which room was mine. Wasn't sure where to park. Towel smelt like wet dog after I used it. Probably not dried properly before folding.

• Mundy (7/5): Ever Ingham Views 2 nights October 2025 - Very quiet. Very clean. Air-conditioning in bedrooms. Beautiful big house, plenty of areas to get away from other people. Fantastic big bathroom (shared between 3 bedrooms). I didn't like having to remove my shoes, but realised once I got inside the floors are covered in a thick carpet. I dont think I could ever used to it though. The worst thing was the bedroom doors don't lock from the outside which means you cannot leave anything of value in you room if you leave the room. I mentioned this concern to the owner but he didn't respond, he just confirmed that yes there is no lock on the outside of the bedroom doors. There are people coming & going at all hours of the day and night. You don't know who's going in your room.

• Georg (6/5): Good for one night stay if you have a car and you don't mind to share the house with other people. - It's a nice house and neighbourhood. It's far from the city, we had to take a uber. We were hungry but there was no place near by within walking distance. There is no key for the room door, only a botton you can press to lock the door while you are in the room. Over all too expensive for what you get.
• Oleh (8/5): Hostel-style house with big clean private rooms in a residential Rockhampton - We have been met by the owner. He explained and shown us everything in the house. Also he offered to drive us to the train station in the morning if uber is not available. The house is located in a quiet residential area. Be aware that it's not a hotel/motel, it's a shared house, all rooms share the kitchen and a lounge, at least one room (may be more) has it's own bath and a toilet We coudn't find any cafes or restaurants around.

• Andy (10/5): - Excellent option an easy drive from the centre in a quiet suburb with a leafy outlook. We got the king room with ensuite and it was really comfortable, stylish, spacious and well-appointed. Good communication with the owner despite a last-minute booking. We were fine with it, but worth noting that individual rooms don't lock, although the front door does.

The host had left complimentary water and chocolate which was a nice touch. It doesn’t need any improvement at all but a tv in the room would make it perfect.

• Denise (9/5): Quite a nice place to stay, in a lovely quiet area, the owner John was really great and so good to communication and hos - Was a lovely place to stay. The bed was very comfortable, had everything we needed. It wasn’t until after the booking was made and paid for that we realized that it was a shared accommodation. In saying that the other guests were really lovely. I struggle with being visually impaired with stairs and dimly lit areas, thankfully I was with my husband. Otherwise it was great.

• Patrick (8/5): Comfy and convenient. Good to deal with. - Easy check in and John was great to deal with. I only had the single room, but it was reasonably good value. If you're prepared to share with others it's a good space with full kitchen for guest use, big TV, lounge and balconies. Bathroom and facilities were nice and homely.

• Michael (5/5): Overall very disappointing., the room pictured was not the pokey little room I was given. - Nice bathroom which appeared well appointed with soaps, shampoo, conditioner etc. The bathroom was very clean which was good and the property is on a quiet street. To Call the Room I stayed in A Deluxe Single Room is a gross overstatement and misrepresentation. The deluxe room I had payed for infact had a single bed. The room was tiny. The pillows on the bed were way too soft, a bedside table. And a pole to hang your towel on and a laundry tub. I’m not sure where exactly the deluxe features were but certainly not present in my room. The fact that it was a home stay room should have been more apparent and prominent on the add as I was only able to note that after booking. And the picture displayed on booking.com bared no resemblance to the actual room on offer again this was I should have been alerted when toilet paper was listed as an icon for a room feature. Talk about clutching at straws. It was not possible to lock my room when I went for a shower as the bedroom door has no key lock. So you have to trust that other guests are trustworthy and hope nobody has a rummage through your stuff while in the bathroom. Overall it was very very disappointing and for what I was charged and considering the room I stayed in bore no resemblance to the ad I did feel like I’d be been duped. I absolutely would not stay there again.

House is beautiful and beautifully kept. Signage made everything a breeze, from finding our room to using the kitchen. Quiet location, so best sleep we had our whole trip. • Marcelo (7/5): Good and quiet place to stay for a night or two. Well priced and located close to town - Location is close to town, quiet neighbourhood. Reasonably priced, responsive and accommodating host. Room was clean, there was a heater/AC in the room and linen provided was of good quality. Street was super quiet and so was the house/other guests. Facilities were reasonably clean and toiletries provided were good. A little unorganised for my liking. got there at 11pm, although all paths in the property are lit it took me a little while to find the main entrance (where it says office). Once upstairs I followed the host's instructions but could not immediately identify my room. Ended up opening the door of an occupied room and then briefly occupied the wrong room. I suggested to the host to have numbers put on doors (as currently there is none) which he immediately said that was currently underway. There were other bits and pieces I mentioned to the host and again he was very accommodating in saying those would be dealt with. The add says 'our apartments' but really they are bedrooms in a 4 bedroom house people seem to live in.. I was not expecting a hotel but a little more clarification surrounding the bedrooms and bathroom scenarios would have made the whole process for me a little easier to go through.
• Phillip (5/5): The ad needs to be clearer about what to expect at the property. - Shared bathroom and toilet with 3 other people and having to go upstairs to access the room and there is only a driveway for parking. The double bed had a divot making it uncomfortable to sleep in.
