• SeamusC (10/5): Can't wait to come back for longer next time. - It was quiet and cozy and private with enough space to keep from stepping on each other. There was a small kitchen and table perfect for small meals and enough pots and pans and dishes to make whatever we wanted. There was a coffee maker and tea. The view out the front window was perfect. It was within easy driving distance to town and the Forest Lagoon. We were in Iceland for over a week. We stayed in multiply places and this was our favorite. We are definitely coming back. The fan upstairs made a lot of noise like a fan but didn't push any air. Even with the windows open it gets warm up in the lofted bedroom and the fan was nice. Not necessary but nice. It just didn't push any air. The bed was a little firm but that's a personal preference.
• Michael (10/5): Fantastic little home with stunning views - Fantastic little house in a stunning location, which gave the most amazing sunset. Everything in the accomodation was great, comfy bed, clean bathroom, well equipped kitchen. Communication with the host was friendly and informative, with flexible check in and easy access. All in all a great stay, made better by a visit to the Forest Lagoon a short drive away. Nothing. It would have been nice to have blackout blind, but given the construction - big windows to make the most of those views - this probably isn't doable, so just remember to bring a sleep mask!

• Valentina (10/5): Luogo magico - Bellissima casa, vetrate che lasciano senza parole e aiutano a rilassarsi dopo una giornata faticosa. Tutto molto pulito e curato. I proprietari lasciano un libretto con tutte le istruzioni e info su tutto ciò che può servire, davvero apprezzato! Solo un piccolo dettaglio: il lettore CD della radio è rotto. Peccato perché c'erano diversi CD interessanti da poter ascoltare...ma abbiamo rimediato con la radio! :) Scalette per la camera da letto impervie, non adatte a tutti.

• Monica (10/5): La cabaña de nuestros sueños frente al fiordo de Akureyri - La ubicación y las vistas al fiordo son sencillamente espectaculares, es una casa literal de ensueño situada en una colina con un entorno increíble. Los anfitriones fueron súper agradables y tuvieron el detalle de dejarnos entrar antes de la hora del check-in. Además, aunque nos nevó muchísimo y el camino se cubrió por completo, cuentan con una máquina quitanieves que pasó varias veces para limpiarnos el acceso, algo que nos dio muchísima seguridad. Una experiencia de 10 sobre 10, de verdad. La casa es pequeña, especialmente el baño, que puede resultar algo estrecho. Sin embargo, con las vistas y lo increíble que es el sitio, es un detalle que no nos importó en absoluto y que compensa con creces.

• Rita (10/5): Außergewöhnlicher Ort in der Nähe von Akureyri - - Super schöner Ausblick auf den Fjord - Große Fenster, die bei guten Bedingungen Nordlichter ganz nah erscheinen lassen - Bequemes Sofa, von dem man die Aussicht genießen kann - Gut ausgestattete Küche und generell hatte das Apartment einige Dinge, die nicht üblich sind, wie CDs und einen Musikplayer - wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt - später check-in möglich, da man den Code für den Schlüsselkasten zugeschickt bekommt - das Auto kann direkt neben dem Haus geparkt werden - das Schlafzimmer befindet sich oberhalb des Wohn- und Essbereichs und man nimmt eine kleine Treppe nach oben. Für uns war das vollkommen in Ordnung und ausreichend - Kapselkaffemaschine inkl. Kapseln vorhanden, was wir sehr geschätzt haben - Die Küche haben wir nicht genutzt, schien aber alle notwendigen Utensilien und Gewürze zu haben - toller Ausgangspunkt, um Akureyri und die Umgebung zu erkunden - wir kommen bestimmt wieder

• Jean (10/5): Cute cabin with lots of charm - Very cute cabin that was fun to stay in. The view was gorgeous and the large picture windows were fabulous. It was a little small and the bathroom was very small with no room to put toiletries and other grooming items. Also, the stairs to the loft were very narrow and steep so anyone with mobility issues or weight issues should probably consider staying elsewhere.

Molto calda e con tutto l’occorrente per rendere piacevole il soggiorno. L’acqua calda sapeva molto di zolfo. La proprietà avvisa del fatto ma fare una doccia calda è un po’ complesso se da’ fastidio l’odore. (Si sente anche se si cucina acqua calda nel bollitore.

It is located a short drive from the center of town, which is beautiful. The view from the the cabin is absolutely amazing! The best stay of our trip on the ring road. We just did not want to leave.... Nothing
• Jesper (7/5): Great house with outlook on the fjord, might include whales ;) - The location was amazing, looking out over the fjord of Akureyri. You could spot whales from your living room! The house had more then enough space, and the kitchen area was complete. Really nice beds upstairs! Big and of good quality. Slept like a baby ;) Nice spot too park the car, and the way of checking is was perfect! In our opinion the hygiene is lacking, kitchen gear was still dirty as where the drawers, in the bathroom many things where not clean as well. The floor of the living room/ kitchen area was not clean, we cleaned it ourselves in the end. In between the sofa was a lot of crumbs and dust, I think if you upgrade your cleaning a bit everything will be spot on! When in summer time, the house becomes hot quite fast, some improvements as fly screens could be an good addition.

Clean and tidy, helpful notebook about all the things to do around the North of Iceland. Amenities included were all there and easy to use. • Sophie (9/5): a wonderful house! - The landscape awas amazing and the house was the perfect distance away from the city, The house had everything we needed, and even though it was -10°C outside, it was very warm inside. When we arrived the house smelled aweful, as if the person before us just smoked a salmon in there. I am sure they couldnt air out the smell soon enough before we arrived. We had to breathe the fishy air until the next morning.

Would love to stay here again 😊 - Gorgeous views, comfortable and pretty spacious because of the loft bedroom, clean, quiet, and safe. Karl and Hanna were really responsive! Just a minor snag during check-in since we were checked into two houses with two different lock boxes, but it was addressed immediately. Not a negative, but just a note for other guests because we had some trouble with the stove, but one of the stoves was an induction stove, and so it needed the pans on the burner already before it would start working. A little instruction sheet could be helpful for guests not familiar with induction stoves 😅

There is everything you need with parking right outside the door. Windows open in both the living area and bedroom. There is a small fridge and kitchenette to enable self-catering. We always find microwave ovens useful in a kitchenette. Stairs are steep, but didn't bother us as we are used to that, however might be an issue for some. Hard to cool down the bedroom in summer even with the window open and fan on.

The windows either wouldn't stay open, or would be ripped wide open by the fierce wind...but the blazing sun meant the inside was baking hot despite the cool weather outside. The bathroom was also uncomfortably small. Too pricey for what you get.

And lovely Nespresso coffee machine :-) We had fun and games trying to get a shower that wasn’t cold or scalding! But otherwise nothing not to love about this place.

• Teodor (10/5): Beautiful, amazing, joyfull, comfortable and unique. - First of all the hosts Karl and Hanna were really helpful and responsive, the house was one of the most unique houses i have ever been, also the location was very unique and remote with a beautiful view towards the ocean, also its 13 min drive from the town Akureyri. I got engaged with my girl here, so this place will stay like one of the most special memories that i will have in my life. I highly recommend this houses on north for everyone who is traveling the ring road. Nothing to point out.
