• carla (8/5): Es útil ya que es bastante central y cómodo para dormir - El proceso de entrar estaba muy bien explicado hasta con un video, cocina de uso común bien equipada. La habitación con baño privado era cómoda y tenia lo necesario. Se puede llegar caminando a la estación de Atocha (20 minutos aprox), si tienes tren muy temprano en la mañana es una buena opción, muchos lugares de comida alrededor, el sector es tranquilo, la estación de metro está a unos 7 minutos caminando y parada de autobuses a unos 5. Bien conectado Se escuchaba todo de una habitación a otra. El baño no estaba taan limpio.

• Osvaldo (8/5): Una buena opción - Buena ubicación. Cuenta con una cocina de uso común para los tres cuartos muy bien equipada. Nuestra habitación tenía baño privado, pero existe además un baño de uso común amplio y con bañera. En cuarto que nos tocó, era muy silencioso, inclusive por la noche. Todo el lugar luce muy limpio y en buenas condiciones. No hay recepción, por lo que las instrucciones de acceso nos las enviaron por whatsapp, con un video ilustrativo, pero ingresamos sin problemas. El cuarto era pequeño y solo contaba con la cama, una mesita de luz y una silla, además de un televisor en lo alto. Colchón un tanto blando para nuestro gusto.

We especially appreciated that we could leave our backpacks after check-out, which made our last day in Madrid much easier. Highly recommended!

• Francisca (4/5): Clean and functional but wouldn't stay there again. - It's located in a good central spot. They have a kitchen available which is also ok. The photos show a bunch of things that aren't there and are a little deceiving. For example, no more than 1 pillow per person (photo shows 4 pillows); the complementary water and other stuff on a tray weren't there either. It doesn't make much of a difference but they make the hotel look more pro than what it actually is. The A/C is super loud and in a warm evening when you need it on to cool down the room, you can barely sleep because of the noise. The neighbourhood is a bit dodgy. Lots of cops all the time; not a huge fan. The shower doesn't have anything on the floor to grip so, good luck with no slipping. There's actually no reception which might seem Ok but I had a lady knocking on my door at 9pm asking for the hotel manager contact. The bed is very small for a couple and to be honest, quite uncomfortable. If you are a large couple, you won't fit there.

• Jennifer (6/5): Acceptable but could be better - Room was fine, albeit a little worn, but was neat and tidy. Bathroom (ensuite) was a good size with a bath/shower combination. Bed was comfortable and there was plenty of storage space. Air-conditioning had been turned off for winter (not needed) and there was also a fan. Only one chair was provided which was OK as a solo traveller but room was a double. Kitchen is OK but both dishwasher and washing machine were taped off (? broken). Likewise terrace was closed for renovations (although no work was going on). This meant there was nowhere to sit at a table to eat which was very inconvenient especially as I stayed for a week and made most of my meals (albeit simple ones). Pictures of rooms are misleading as there are only 2 pillows provided and no tray with water etc. The keyless entry system worked well (I never saw any staff) and the Hostal is just three rooms (the other 2 shared a common bathroom). Hostal is located close to Atocha train station and several metro lines. It is also near several supermarkets and lots of restaurants. The location is in a very cosmopolitan area but I thought it was safe enough to walk to the Metro in the dark one morning. I found my room to be pretty quiet with no traffic noise (the Hostal us on a one way single lane road) - only noise was from other hostallers coming and going (and not a bother). I note that some others commented on police cars, well everywhere I went in Madrid I saw police cars patrolling the streets. Would I stay there again - maybe, but not for more than a couple of nights due to the lack of tables and chairs to eat at. No dining area. Terrace closed. Rooms are not serviced even for a week long stay eg room bin emptied, clean towels (if required).

Aunado a esto, era viernes y el bullicio en esa zona es mucho. Por lo tanto tuve que dormir con tapones en los oídos para intentar no escuchar tanto ruido

Tot i que la casa sigui comunitaria no hi havia ningú més o no se sentia soroll, així que per aquesta banda no hi ha problema. El pati pel qual haviem pagat estava en obres i no es podia sortir, però tot molt be.
• Frann Rojas (9/5): - La amabilidad del dueño, pedi entrar unas horas antes y no hubo ningun problema. La habestaba muy limpia y era comoda. Mi habitación daba a la calle y el barrio es un poco ruidoso, no es culpa de la propiedad pero es algo a tener en consideración.
• Jose Carlos (7/5): Buena estancia. - Aunque no la usamos porque lo desconocíamos, tiene cocina, en las habitaciones hay pingüino de aire acondicionado. Esta equipado con nevera, cafetera, perchas papel igienico, jabón. Las puertas gruñen, un poquito de 3 en 1 les iría genial. La limpieza justita. La cama tiene un marco de madera que te dejas las rodillas.

• Gary (2/5): - A taxi dropped us off in a narrow alley where a large group of teenage boys were shouting and laughing beside the door to our building. This was not a hotel or an inn. It was one tiny room in something like an apartment building. Via the Expedia app, we were sent instructions to open the building door and the room door. Upon opening the building door, a strong odor of incense triggered an asthma attack in both of us. The room odor was even stronger. We needed to flee the room for fresh air very quickly. I opened the only window (bars on the window suggested a dangerous neighborhood) and called the telephone number listed by Expedia for the property. The man spoke no English. He came to the room in 2 minutes. I explained in my poor Spanish that we could not stay there because of asthma. I asked if a partial refund might be possible. He told me to contact Expedia. We left immediately, booked a Hampton Inn online, and took a taxi there. Our total stay at Posada Madrileña lasted 10 minutes, although we paid for 4 nights.
• Verified traveler (2/5): NO DEBERIA ESTAR HOTELS.COM APOYAR ALGO ASI. - Es un bajo con habitaciones nada seguras. No pude dormir todo se escucha tanto de la calle como de las otras habitaciones de ese bajo. No hay una persona visible a quien dirigirse. Se comparte un baño para 6 u 8 personas totalmente desconocidas, alto indice de peligro tanto de robo como de violencia al no saber con quien compartes baño y cocina. Que peligro dejar la puerta habierta mientras vas al baño.

• Irene (4/5): Bathroom problems - The room had a nice size. The bathroom sink was clogged when we arrived and even though we let them know as soon as we got there, no solution was offered. They said someone was going to come check it out but it never happened in the time we were there. We couldn't use the sink for anything so we had to wash our hands and teeth in the shower, it was very uncomfortable, specially because the shower is very small.

Many stores around there , places to buy groceries and small restaurants. Very closed to tourists places. Definitely on my next trip I will stay there. Quiet building.
