Guest Reviews
- Thomas (9/5): - The welcome and level of comfort in the cottage was incredible. Our host was so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. It was a real bolthole in a very special rural location. It was easy to get to everywhere we wanted to go. Perhaps helpful to know how to locate thd closest shop as we didn't find it.
- Layla (10/5): - Everything about this cute and cosy cottage was lovely. Excellent bathroom and kitchen. Great log burner. I didn't stay long enough!
- Joanna (10/5): Charming cottage with a view - The cottage is super clean, cozy and gorgeous. Clean and crisp bedding, fluffy towels, comfortable sofa and lovely kitchen. This charming cottage is located a short walk from from Sale Fell and Ling Fell, and has stunning views all around. Everything you need to relax and unwind. The owners are very nice and friendly. We are definitely coming back.
- Emma (10/5): Perfect - Lovely location with amazing views. Enjoyed the welcome pack alongside the log fire. Great after a days work to unwind
- Timothy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (10/5): Room at the inn in a time of need - Location Nothing
- Paula (9/5): Lovely cottage in a beautiful location. - We loved the location- it was so peaceful and beautiful, and just a 15 min car journey to Keswick, less to Cockermouth.
The cottage was comfortable and homely, with a modern kitchen and bathroom. It was very well equipped.
We appreciated the parking space, as there is nowhere to park on the lane - just be aware it is a bit tight and best approached downhill! There is nothing major. We would have appreciated larger towels and the WiFi signal was poor in the living room ( but great everywhere else).
The double bed is smaller than we are used to ( not the cottages fault!), so we didn't sleep as well as we would have wanted.
- Lauren (9/5): Lovely stay. Quiet and cosy - The cottage was lovely and in a very pleasant location. Great bathroom, quality kitchen and a cosy feel all round. We were greeted by the host Jane who was very welcoming and the little welcome basket on the dining table was a lovely little surprise. I'd recommend this for any couple looking for a quiet break away. Personally the mattress and pillows was a little to hard for us so we had a few nights where we couldn't sleep but I understand others may prefer a hard mattress
- Celia (10/5): Exceptional - Clean, modern comfortable furnishings he The automatic light and fan in bathroom.Very snazzy but means a quiet discreet nocturnal visit to bathroom is impossible also fan not available during day when might be needed..please revert to switch!
