Guest Reviews
- Eva (9/5): Good value for money, clean snd fully equipt. Most importantly the beds were comfy. - It was spotless, the beds were comfy, Hosts thought of everything.
It was cosy and the new style electric heaters were efficent and heated up the rooms quicky. For me, the electric shower wasn't powerful enough and kept running cold. Not sure i would cope in winter months.
I missed having a full lemgth mirror.
- Julia (8/5): Loved the cottage, we had a fantastic New Years family meal. - The cottage had a welcoming appearance on the outside and was really cosy, warm and well appointed inside. The cooking equipment, dining table and chairs was great for self-catering with a group of 7 adults. Pets were made very welcome too. The bedroom arrangement was unusual having a central bedroom which you had to walk through to get to the two other bedrooms. It was a tricky journey to get to the toilet in the night going down the steep staircase to the bathroom located behind the kitchen.
As soon as we arrived and were unloading a neighbour came out to ensure we would be moving our car...which we were planning to park at the church as soon as we had unloaded. Locals in cars seemed to look with distain at us unloading and loading the car outside the cottage. But there was no alternative layby. Checkout was 10am but the cleaner arrived at 9.45 and watched in her car as we loaded up the car which again felt a little threatening. We were leaving in good time.
- Leigh (7/5): - Area it was in and was very satisfactory The shower is not powerful and only dribbles out
- Steve (9/5): - Really nice location Beautiful cottage not far from shops
- Donna (10/5): - Beautifully presented cottage. It was perfect for our weekend
- Susan (9/5): Lovely relaxing break in beautiful cottage - Easy to collect keys Pressure in shower could be improved
- Jeff (9/5): rustic cottage - just right for 2 couples - Nice rustic property - perfect for 2 couples. Garden space looked nice but did not use due rain! no coffee making facilities - as a minimum a cafatier would be a nice / essential extra.
- Heidi (8/5): Lovely stay - Very sweet property . All good - stairs very steep . Not an issue for us at all but one to bear in mind
- Joe (10/5): -
- Pantelis (8/5): Excellent Stay well managed cottage - Excellent communication & so helpful, so clean, so well organised, full equipped kitchen, excellent WiFI , All Excellent, thank you Nothing
- Paulina (10/5): It was a pleasure to stay there, nice quiet village.Beds were very comfortable. - Dogs friendly house
- Holly (9/5): A perfect little cottage - A lovely cosy and very well equipped cottage perfectly situated for visiting the Mid Norfolk railway and Wymondham Abbey both of which are well worth the visit. The kitchen was very well equipped, a lovely walk in shower and a very cosy bed and pet friendly too. What more could you ask for. The only negative to this cottage was the parking. You were allowed to park outside the cottage next door which was great but it being a main road meant you had a lot of farming vehicles going past. It was ok for our car as it's quite small but some people with bigger cars may struggle. If you had off road parking it would be better however coming from somewhere where parking is a premium I completely understand and appreciate the issue and was still very grateful to be able to park outside the cottage.
- Ronald (8/5): - Lovely cottage
- Hilary (7/5): Had a lovely stay. - Pretty cottage with small enclosed outside. The stairs are awful.
The website warns you they are narrow but anyone with feet larger than a size 4 will have to be very careful. No banister.
- Alex (9/5): A lovely stay in Norfolk - A lovely cosy cottage. Good enclosed garden area and kitchen facilities. Quiet location and a good base for us to explore Norfolk. Would stay again. N/A

- Liz (9/5): We had a very happy, peaceful and comfortable stay in Rosemary cottage. - The cottage was beautiful, warm and cosy. The location was good and the nearby shop was open until late. The property was clean and well equipped. It was a great place to stay for all of us including our dog! All the bedrooms are connected so anyone staying in the two side bedrooms has to walk through the bedroom in the middle to go downstairs to the bathroom.
- Tom (10/5): Perfect weekend away! - Lovely modernised cottage but retaining lots of its original features. Well equipped kitchen and super comfy beds. Great layout and enclosed garden brilliant for pet owners. N/A
- Sharon (9/5): Comfortable stay - Quirky cottage with character. Well appointed and comfortable. The stairs were tricky, narrow and winding. Slightly surprised to find the bedrooms led off each other.
- Davies (10/5): Homley. Warm. Cosey and stunning! - It is beautiful got everything you need my 4 year old cried her eyes out when we had to leave it so cosy and just stunning the pictures don’t do it justice! Owners don’t bother you, leave clear instructions for you, we will be back and this is where we will be staying when visiting family in Dereham. Nothing. It’s stunning!
- Laurabeth (10/5): Couldn’t have wished to be anywhere else this weekend. - It was perfect for our little family Christmas weekend.
It had everything we needed, it was very comfortable.
Owner came to turn the heating up for us as it was a cold weekend, I had asked for a Christmas tree and this was done with no hesitation, very welcoming and friendly. There honestly wasn’t anything we didn’t like about the property. It was exactly as described, and a traditional cottage with wooden beams, steep stairs and low ceilings.
- Natasha (10/5): Exceptional - House had everything we needed for a wknd stay, lovely property with lots of character, clean and great location. Host was very helpful.
- Melissa (9/5): Lovely cottage, really well equipped for our stay. - It was really lovely downstairs and loved the fully enclosed outdoor area as we have a dog. The bedroom layout was slightly unusual but we only needed one bedroom so was ok for our stay.
- Emma (9/5): Superb - Very modern with good facilities and very clean Downstairs bathroom and very steep steps although we did know about this on booking. The toilet seat was broken on arrival and fully came detached after one evening
- Potter (10/5): Perfect stay at Rosemary cottage - Gorgeous cottage, everything that was needed was there. Very clean & warm. Everything was perfect
- Emma (8/5): Very good - Beautifully decorated! Great location. Amazing communication with owners. Would definitely book again. Would have liked a TV in the bedroom. And a larger settee because there was 5 of us
- Elinor (10/5): Fabulous! - Clean, spacious, warm with everything needed for a wonderful weekend. Host was helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. Just the right mix of cottage feel with modern and luxurious decor. It was the perfect location. Highly recommended 👌
- Steven (9/5): Superb -
- Tamas (10/5): Very pleasant and relaxing stay. - Amazing decor, beautiful cottage. Location and decor
- Ioana (7/5): Parking on street - Nice little cottage, clean and cosy.
Nice litle garden and there is even a bbq . Internet is very weak and I think it should be specified that parking is on the street ( bloking a full lane) .
- Georgia (10/5): Wholesome weekend in the most perfect little cottage - The property is absolutely stunning and finished to perfection. I love the cottage feel, and the exposed beams. It was perfectly quiet and peaceful. Exactly what we were looking for. The owner Lee was very kind and helpful. Would highly recommend Nothing to dislike it was perfect
- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Deena (10/5): Beautiful cottage in a peaceful location. - The pretty cottage was modern but in keeping with a cottage feel; v clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds comfy. Lee was friendly and recommended some good nearby pubs for food. Nothing, all great.
- Robert (9/5): Superb - A lovely cottage in a tranquil location, perfect for visiting family and friends near Dereham. Good water pressure and comfy beds. Just be careful on the stairs! We will definitely stay again!
- Phoebe (9/5): Lovely little property, has all the essentials. Fully equipped kitchen, with bonus of tea/coffee/sugar/ wash - Lovely little property, has all the essentials. Fully equipped kitchen, with bonus of tea/coffee/sugar/ washing machine and dishwasher tablets and cleaning things.
Plenty of social space inside and out.
Good size rooms for a short stay. No off road parking. No fans present in the property. Beds were a little soft but that’s a personal opinion.
- Brothwood (8/5): Very good - cottage was very nice and well received by the owners all in all a great stay no off street parking
- Karen (6/5): Pleasant, clean cottage in a good location for me but negotiating the stairs was stressful - The location was good and close to where I was working. The cottage was clean and was stocked with all things needed for a pleasant stay. The bathroom was on the ground floor which was good especially given my comments below. The very narrow and very steep staircase was dangerous. You can only climb the stairs by crawling and holding onto the spindles (one of which was missing). There was no handrail. There was no reference to this on the booking website. My elderly father therefore had to sleep on the sofa for the two nights we were there as there was no way he could climb the stairs (he can climb stairs normally). Therefore we did not get our money's worth. This cottage would not be suitable for children, the elderly or people with physical disabilities. This should be pointed out on the website. We also felt pressurised to leave early on our last day as we received an email at 10pm the previous night asking if we were leaving at 10am or earlier so the cleaner could come early. I could not respond to the email as it was sent from a no-reply email address. The owner of the property apparently lived in the cottage next door (so could have come round to ask about when we were leaving) but we did not see them at all during the stay.
We did not mind not seeing the host as we would much rather be left alone during a stay away but I had parked the car in the large courtyard at the side of the property but when I came back after walking the dog found that I had been blocked in (by the son's car). I knocked on the door (of what I originally thought was the neighbours house) to enquire if I was parking on their property by mistake and got no reply. As I went back to the rented cottage I saw the owners son come out of next door and asked if I was OK to park where I had. I was informed that I should have parked on the road, but that it was OK to leave my car in the courtyard overnight but would have to move it the following day as another person was renting (the much smaller and probably cheaper) cottage next door. The courtyard was big enough for for or 5 cars!! The road outside the cottage had no pavement and was quite narrow and busy and was not ideal for roadside parking.
- Butler (10/5): Exceptional - The cottage was beautifully restored Had wonderful character. Peaceful location.
Homely and would love to go back
Thankyou so much Nil
- Julie (10/5): Beautiful cottage, perfect for our needs. Peaceful and quiet ideal to relax and recharge - Cosy cottage with all the elements of a period home making it feel as though you had stepped back in time, but had all the convenience of modern facilities Stairs are really steep! This was part of the charm of the cottage, however, if you are unsteady on your feet or are worried by steep stairs this may not be the place for you.
- Patricia (10/5): Stunning Period cottage with modern facilties - Beautiful cottage, lovely, well stocked kitchen with everything to make life easy for a family. Easy to find, quiet location. Easy parking. We loved it! Lee was a very attentive host. Nothing to dislike!
- Aarrian (10/5): Charming cottage and great holiday - The cottage was beautiful. Well equipped and comfortable and very clean. About a forty minute drive to Cromer or Wells so great for a day trip to the beach.
The cottage has a lovely small outdoor area that is very sunny and a great place to sit outside. There is plenty of seating in the cottage and it is well furnished to a high standard.
We had a lovely stay and would love to come back.
7JB I The stairs were very steep and winding so may be difficult for someone who struggles with stairs or has very small children. As the bathroom is downstairs you may need to negotiate the stairs in the night.
