Guest Reviews
- julie (10/5): - It’s beautifully decorated and quirky, 3 loos for 3 bedrooms is a good ratio, and a great location.
- Elin (10/5): -
- James (8/5): Perfectly quaint and cosy stay where you feel comfortable and right in the centre of a beautiful street. - Plenty of space for us all and perfectly situated in a lovely street. Perfect to come back after a day of sight-seeing. Some of the light fixtures hang a little too low, meaning we banged our heads on them as we entered the property each time! Also the master bedroom felt as though the bed was on a camber, but very easy fixes.
- EmmaM102 (10/5): Loved it! Definitely will be back - Gorgeous property, very comfy beds, great location, bathrooms with bath and showers and fully equipped kitchen. Great! The only single thing I would say is that the hosts were almost *too* helpful- too many generic messages throughout the stay but great to know that they would be there to help if needed!
- Lesley (10/5): A very relaxing few days in a very pleasant environment. - This was great accommodation with its own very individual style that we loved. It was conveniently situated in the Old Town which was ideal for exploring. The apartment is above a lovely quirky bar which we loved and enjoyed a few drinks it. Whilst you could hear the music from the bar below in the living area, you could not hear it in the bedrooms. Also the bar wasn’t open early in the week.
Paul our host was very helpful in suggesting somewhere to eat, which we enjoyed.
In all we had a lovely time and would stay there again. There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.
- Jackie (10/5): Very cool apartment in Hastings old town - We loved the style of the apartment. An eclectic collection of very tasteful mid century furniture with very comfy beds and well equipped bathrooms and kitchen. The apartment was very well thought out with a hairdryer in every room, iron, ironing board, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher etc. It really has everything you might need . The location is excellent, right in the centre of old town Hastings but quiet enough to get a good night's sleep. Communication with host was excellent. Nothing. Everything was great.
- Sarah (9/5): Great place, nice location but marred by people who can’t handle their drink. - Location in the old town was good for everything and the property was very clean and well appointed. Felt very homely and comfortable. There is a small supermarket next door and some good places to eat and drink close by. I would have marked the place higher, but street noise after 11pm was very bad after the pubs and clubs closed. Every night we stayed, we barely slept. One night we had to call an ambulance because a drunken kid smacked his head on the ground outside the property. His mates took offence at other people trying to help while they were more interested in taking selfies, and we ended up calling the police as well because a brawl broke out.
- Jacqueline (10/5): - The location was perfect everything was right on the door step.
- lewis (9/5): -
- Darren (9/5): Quirky, clean 3 bedroom apartment in a fantastic location. - Very clean. Great location. Comfortable beds. Well equipped. It was difficult to get the property to the right heat level (probably just us not controlling the thermostat properly!)
- Georgie (10/5): The property lived up to the images, very clean and comfortable-decor is splendid throughout. - The location was great nearby to shops and restaurants. As it was Christmas, no access to terrestrial tv and internet was a bit intermittent.
- Belle (10/5): -
- Clare (9/5): Quirky and fun in the Old Town. - Quirky, comfortable, spacious enough for a group of 3 friends. Loved having multiple bathrooms and the beds were super comfortable. Great location in the old town. There are steep stairs .inside the property so be aware of that.
- David (10/5): - Quirky and Clean
- Saskia (9/5): Genoten van het huis en de locatie. Zeer soepel contact met de eigenaar. - Fantastich ingericht. Kleurrijk en smaakvol. Heerlijke bedden. De Wifi
- Hannah (8/5): Really enjoyed our stay but the property description was misleading. - Central, near shops, restaurants and the sea. Was above a bar which was not mentioned in the details.
Had no parking let alone electric charging despite claiming to have both. We were aware of this as it became apparent in the details that the parking was in a public carpark, however the electric charging stations were not working and the price stated in the details was incorrect. Free on street parking was only available about 1km away.
- Tobias Maria (10/5): - Lage ist perfekt um das alte Hastings zu entdecken und schnell an den Strand zu kommen. Das Appartment ist liebevoll eingerichtet und hat seinen eigenen Stil.
- Bobj49 (9/5): Lovely flat, centrally located. - Charming, quirky flat above a shop in the Old Town of Hastings. Eclectic furnishing. Very clean and comfortable. Will stay again in the future. The TV does not have access to terrestrial TV signal it relies on Internet streaming and that makes it hard to see what is being broadcast. Adding standard rooftop aerial to the TV would be better. The heating was a little cool and the Google based controller was difficult to make any changes.
- Martin Demant (10/5): An absolutely incredible apartment! -
- Julie (10/5): Charming quirky townhouse in the heart of Old Hastings - I'm loathe to say how great this place is, because I want to be able to book it again without fighting the masses for it! It's a 3 bedroom house in the heart of Old Hastings (one of the bedrooms has an ensuite). It's quirky and charming, but with all the mod cons you wouldn't expect in such an old property (hot, fast running water for a start!). Whoever did this place up should be really proud of their work! The stairs were quite steep, but that was only inconvenient when walking in and out with luggage
- James (9/5): Lovely well equipped apartment in the heart of Old Town with everything on your doorstep. - Well equipped and comfortable, the sitting room was lovely and with good lighting throughout. Nice bedding and plenty of storage. Kitchen had everything you would need to cook a meal. Hosts were very helpful and friendly. Maybe some fans would be nice in the hot weather and a stair gate would be useful if you were taking children.
- ROSIE (9/5): -
- Wioletta (10/5): Everything was perfect – the house has great potential! - Beautiful house
- Wendy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Theodore (10/5): Great old town location with amazing retro decor - Great decoration Bit noisy with street underneath
- Ellie (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic vintage inspired property. Lots of lovely pictures and vintage lighting throughout. Comfortable beds, chairs and sofas. Excellent location, in the heart of the old town. Even better than the photos, would happily stay here again - hope its available when we are next in Hastings.
- Kerrie (10/5): Amazing location - The property was very well situated in the old part of town and walking distance to the beach. It is clearly well loved and well maintained, it felt like everything as thought of and the kitchen was extremely well equipped.
- Helen (10/5): A feast for the senses - The decor was absolutely amazing everywhere we looked there was something gorgeous to delight
The beds were extraordinarily comfortable
Bathrooms a plenty and loads of hot water
What a wonderful place
- Wai (9/5): Superb -
- Catie (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic location and unique character to the apartment made this a stay to remember. Had trouble with the TV on the last night but didn't spoil our stay
- Annelies (10/5): Exceptional, quirky little gem of a hideaway. - This property is exceptional. Cool, quirky but with all the mod cons. Attention to detail was spectacular and the apartment had everything you could need.
The decor was fabulous and a great deal of thought has gone into the place.
The showers were great.
Great location in the Old Town.
Overall fantastic stay and will definitely return for leisure. The WiFi sadly was very slow so we couldn’t watch anything or use the internet and my phone provider ‘EE’ had zero coverage in this apartment. This would have been great for an opportunity to get offline but my trip was with family but also for work and I couldn’t get any work done due to the wifi. However there was a cafe down the road with good wifi.
Top tip: we were so confused at the lack of a freezer, until we found it on the last day in the first floor bathroom above the washing machine.
- Samuel (10/5): Great property, we will definitely be back! - Loved the decor, great location, very comfortable!
- Rachel (10/5): Exceptional - George and Russell offer everything you could possibly need. The beds are super comfortable, the linen is luxurious and clean! It is thoughtfully arranged and the design and decor is just divine! I felt relaxed and tranquil the entire time I was there! I can't wait to come back... Thankyou so much for providing such magnificent accommodation 👌 Disliked - leaving!
- Mary (10/5): Superb - Unique really well equipped apartment right in the Old Town centre . Lovely big comfortable beds and walk in showers plus a great bath in main bathroom. Only downside was that all showers were only overhead. Bright and eclectic rooms. We will definitely return Overhead shower heads only
- Stuart (10/5): Fantastic fun place - and good value - The apartment is above a shop in the most interesting street in Hastings. If Diagon Alley in Harry Potter was real, it'd be something like this. And, if you also want bags of character in where you stay , plus comfort, this flat delivers. Some might find the decor style a bit 'Marmite' - brightly coloured, over-the-top, high quality, arty vintage. But even if that's not your thing, this is such fun, it'll likely win you over. It's been put together with love and flair. If corners were cut, we didn't notice. The heating was efficient, the fittings, appliances (those we used), the bathroom facilities were all new or as good as new. And so spacious! It was great to come back in the evening, sit around, chat and feel very cozy. Well equipped kitchen with lots of crocks, utensils, pots etc - but lacking most basics for cooking, like cooking oil, tea etc. If you plan to prepare food or drinks, bring everything you'll need. The family bathroom door doesn't appear to have an operational lock. An interior corner preserves modesty but even a door hook latch would be good
- Nicola (9/5): Good value for money. - Always a good stay with great amenities . Just the buskers below. Generally don’t mind them but some are just not great singers 🫣
- Susan (8/5): A chance to visit relatives in the heart of the Old Town, although it turned out there was a festival that weekend which - Good location. Quirky. Situated above a bar where the staff were very helpful. There’s no microwave.
Once we mastered the heating control we were comfortable.
- Ruth (10/5): Perfect. - The property was beautifully decorated with everything you needed. So much care and attention has been made to make this a special place.
- Stuart (10/5): Exceptional -
- Matthew (9/5): Great Old Town apartment - highly recommended - Property is unique and stylish with bags of character. Has everything you'd need, and the location is perfect for both the beach and exploring Old Town. It's a lovely place to stay in. Nothing really to dislike. WiFi was sometimes a bit variable, and occasionally a bit of noise from the street below (a busker took up residence right under the window for a couple of evenings!). Parking is in a public car park on the sea front, so expect to pay £13 a day.
- Neil (10/5): Exceptional - The flat was centrally located and had everything needed.
- Ina (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic apartment, and location - close to everything. The design and colors of the apartment are one of a kind, loved it. Professional handling by the owner.
- Claire (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely wonderful!
- Jarkko (10/5): Delightful apartment in the heart of old city - We absolutely loved everything in this apartment. The decoration was fun and colourful. It was well equipped and there was everything we needed, including in the kitchen. Kitchen equipments were of good quality. The place was clean and air was fresh. Also in pretty bathrooms. The location was perfect in the heart of the old city.
- Martyn (10/5): Wonderful and unique stay in the old town - Wonderfully unique property which has clearly been furnished with love. Very comfortable, spacious and excellent beds. Highly recommended. The only possible improvement would be a loaded shotgun to deal with the seagulls! 😁 Perfect for us but those with limited mobility should be aware of the stairs as this is a first and second storey apartment.
- Griffiths (9/5): Superb - The decor is very quirky. The location is great. The property is over a pub which was very noisy.
- Amanda (10/5): Loved it! - The decor is fabulous! Nothing
- Janet (10/5): Hastings gorgeousness - Everything was perfect. Lovely house great location. Enjoyed our stay All was good
- Kathie (10/5): Right in the heart of Hastings, beautiful and tasteful property - I liked everything about this property
Quirky, clean, comfy comfy beds, choice of bath or shower, close to everything you want like the sea, cafes, pubs, shops, restaurants.. There was nothing I didn’t like
- Spurge (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (10/5): Beautiful stay -
- Patrick (10/5): Exceptional - Superb location a real Hidden gem.
- Stephen (9/5): Perfect place for seeing Hastings - Beautiful creative decor, generously sized bedrooms Would have been nice to have a microwave
- James (10/5): Couldn’t wish for anything better. Will definitely book again. - Everything to be honest. It’s a great property that has everything and more. Perfect location, very spacious and extremely comfortable. N/A
- Agnes (9/5): Amazing and Unique - Unique decor.
Comfortable beds and furniture.
Well stocked kitchen.
Great showers and good sized bath.
The whole property is designed with comfort and relaxation in mind. We loved everything about this property.
- Lauren (10/5): Absolutely beautiful property! We loved the whole retro feel but with all the modern necessities. Amazing location right - Beautiful property
Very clean
Amazing location
- Allison (10/5): A stylish, jewel box of a place. Magical! - Beautiful, stylish jewel of a place.
Extremely comfortable and in a great location.
- Carl (10/5): Exceptional - The house is well named - gorgeous. I'd like it for myself. Even better than expected, I'd highly recommend it. It's right in the heart of the old town, you can look down on the comings and goings of George Street.
Great attention to detail and everything in the house was luxurious/quality.
