• Hoda (5/5): Overall as a family of five, our recent short stay in this house wasn't ideal. - Donna, the host was friendly, helpful, and readily available to address any concerns you might have. The house boasts a creative design, is impeccably clean, and features a well-equipped kitchen, though a Nespresso coffee machine and a blender were absent and would be a great addition. Donna was delightful, welcoming us with beers, bread, juice, and eggs. The lovely downstairs barbecue area includes cutlery, a sink, refrigerator, and dishwasher; while we were unable to use it, it's a wonderful entertaining amenity.  The house offers ample sleeping space, making it ideal for a large group, and one of my sons particularly enjoyed the under-stairs activity/bedroom. We had mixed feelings about the house. Upon entering, we loved the smart, unique design, the colours, the fish ponds, and the indoor plants. However, after spending a few hours there, this initial impression faded due to the house's impracticality; it felt quite narrow , crowded, and had an overwhelming amount of busy colours. The kitchen was lovely, but there were many ants, possibly due to the herb pots on the kitchen counter. Considering the lack of insulation, the house became quite hot in the sun, although the ample air conditioning and fans mitigated this issue. However, noise was another problem. Given the roof type, the rain noise was quite loud and annoying. The house is on a busy street, and with its poor insulation, sleeping was difficult as you will hear every single car pass on the street, particularly in the master bedroom. In addition, there are no blackout blinds in the bedrooms, resulting in lights in the room from sunshine, which could be useful if you are not on holiday. The house has many stairs, making it unsuitable for young children or the elderly. We also found it problematic that most of the rooms / bedrooms only have fixed windows, resulting in poor ventilation. Overall as a family of five, our recent short stay in this house wasn't ideal. We might have been better off renting a CBD apartment; surprisingly, that would likely have been much cheaper and more convenient for exploring Brisbane.

She had beautiful presents about her and was filled with information on a fridge full of all the essentials and a gift basket filled with goods. Donna made me feel so welcomed into her beautiful home. Everything was so excellent. It felt like a home away from home. I would stay there again. I had such a fantastic experience. The main road is a bit busy, but the location is within walking distance. Everything you ever need or want is so close, and it is such a safe neighbourhood.

• Belinda (10/5): Fantastic place! - everything was excellent. the house is spacious, very clean and comfortable. The facilities are great, with the bbq area and pool a great space to relax. The property has close access to public transport, with a bus stop right outside and a train station within walking distance. A small shopping centre is also within walking distance. The owner was very helpful and maintained excellent communication. a great place to stay. Nil
• Jen (10/5): A wonderful experience, highly recommended and will certainly look to stay again! - Beautiful home, there were seven of us and there was plenty of room, barbecue area is lovely, host is amazing. Kitchen was well stocked and she even had beer in the bar fridge for us when we arrived. The koi pond was lovely and the turtle popping its head up to say hello when we came in was a welcome sight! No issues, other than the house would not be well suited to anyone with ambulatory issues. As long as you are good with stairs, no issue.
