- Arno (9/5): Au top ! On recommande - La chambre, le confort, l’emplacement. C’est très mignon
- David (8/5): Basic but ok - Very central location Cold shower & no electric jug in room for hot drinks
- Greg (8/5): -
- Johan (8/5): - Good centrally located guest house, everything within reach

- Marianne (10/5): - The sister and brother running the place are very helpful and always willing to help you. They booked our minbus and train ticket for our return to Luang Prabang. The breakfasts are great. The room with balcony very large and cleaned every day. There are bikes to hire. Across the street from night market and very close to all the tour companies to book your hikes. We had a great stay. Our dinner meal from the kitchen was mixed quality depending on the cook. Shower was hot but very weak... very little water.
- Steven (8/5): Great apart from the property manager - Simple, clean, and efficient for night before and after 3 day trek. We booked a van to Nateuy with the property manager and already paid to be picked up the next day at 11am. We arrived on time and the property manager said we were waiting for two more people. An hour went by before we said we need to leave without them, and he asked that we pay more to cover a portion of their costs. We obviously didn’t pay given the unfairness and said that we would leave since the people missing are responsible for being late, not us. He finally gave in and let our prepaid van depart, but we left feeling on the verge of being scammed. It’s unfortunate because our stay was fine until the property manager tried to squeeze money out of us with some unfair reasoning.

- Amy (7/5): - Staff was (odd but) friendly & helpful. Space was roomy and comfortable, wifi was good. Nice.to have a front porch to relax on. Breakfast was included & good.
Property overall could use a bit of renovation/refresh.
They helped us out w scooter rental & bus transport. Markup - even for residents - seemed a bit stiff.
- Daniel (8/5): -
- Ineke (8/5): -
- Ra (6/5): Just okay. Nothing Fantasrtic. Good thing they have a small restaurant for food and drink. - It is good enough for 2 nights stay after riding from Boten terrible road! Staff couldnt communicate in simple english.
- Anita (8/5): Great Location - The location was great. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent. Being able to hire a motorcycle was very useful in getting around town and the sights. The room and bathroom were a little smelly... damp.
However, last year the town experienced a flash flood, with many buildings being damaged. Therefore, the room may still be damp from this. And, it was raining when we stayed.
- Warren (8/5): - Helpful staff.
Across the road from the night market
- Willem (9/5): First stop in Laos for us. Super nice. - Best relaxing place in the hearth of town
- Subhamoy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Subhamoy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lukas (5/5): Ok for one night - dark room, bathroom looks like hospital, just one choice for breakfast, staff is not very helpful and most of them don't speak english, and the music was extremely loud (because of new year party)
- Shane (8/5): Great location for short stop - The hotel is as advertised. It is a bit old and facilities the same, but it is very well located, quiet and the breakfast was excellent. The room and furniture are quite old and tired, bed firm and hard pillows, but it was pretty much what I expected, so no complaint
- Emmanouil (8/5): Very good - Very nice clean place at the center of Luang Namtha, good breakfast The staff not so polite
- Cael (7/5): Good value for money. - Convenient location right across from the night market (but not too loud, which was nice). Clean, comfortable room. Better than the other reviews might suggest. Minimally appointed, structurally a little sketchy. Perfectly fine for a night or two, but I wouldn't advise for a longer stay.
- Shirish (9/5): Superb -
- Paul (8/5): Very good -
- Cornelia (9/5): Beautiful place to stay with comfy beds - Perfectly situated. Beautiful hotel. Comfortable beds. Great breakfast. Working WiFi. Very pleased with this lovely find. Highly recommend it! Shower had no water pressure
- Mark (7/5): Handy place as base for trekking. - Great location, excellent food (try the chicken soup), close to trekking offices and massage for when we got back! Organised transfer back to NaTeuy. Restaurant service was casual, couldn’t pay by card, room quite small.
- Joost (8/5): Very good - Location, nice buildings Shower
- Alix (6/5): Pleasant -
- Alix (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sophie (8/5): Very good -
- Robert (6/5): Pleasant - Arrived late (2 AM) because of delays on our bus. Was afraid we could not check in but there was someone at the reception waiting. Wood building has some rustic charm. The fan in our room sounded like a rusty lawnmower. It was too loud, so we could not sleep with the fan on. The room was still pleasant for one night, but I think in the day it might be too hot without the fan. Moved after the first night because of this.
- Catherine (7/5): Good -
- Oscar (6/5): Pleasant - Great location in front of the night market.
The lady running the cafetería spoke english and was very very helpful Staff not english speaking.
Bed was not really confortable
The rooms on the first floor We're clearly older and less taken care of.
- Puck (8/5): Great place in Luang Namtha - comfortable rooms, large and spacious. the hotel can organise transfers and rents motorbikes. hot water 24h and AC (not needed during our stay) the staff were not super focused and would sometimes forget an order, etc. water pressure in the shower could be better
- Pernille (6/5): Pleasant - Very central Very noisy
- Nicola (7/5): Ok for one night but there are other places just as close. - Was convenient after finishing our trek.
Great location for trek offices and restaurants.
Cheap for 1 night.
Lots of other travellers around if you’re looking for company. Bathroom light didn’t work. Very dark interior. Thin walls.
Staff at check in a bit grumpy and uncommunicative.
Noisy.
- Romy (2/5): Don’t go here. - The only thing we liked was the location and leaving again ;-) - staff was unwelcoming and not friendly at all.
- sheets were dirty with hairs and stains all over
- shower was moldy and dirty
- loud noises during night
- AC kept on felling out
- shower had no pressure, almost impossible to wash hair
Not worth the price per night at all. Don’t understand why they are so popular. Such a dissapointment.
- Kurt (7/5): Good -
- Anne (7/5): Good rooms but average service. - Good sized clean room with a decent hot shower and WiFi.
Good location opposite the night market.
Good breakfast. It was a bit difficult to get the receptionist to focus on customer service at times. It took a few attempts to get advice about bus times and to get my laundry back.
Breakfast doesn't start until 0800 which is a bit late if you have to get an early bus. I was promised an early breakfast but didn't receive it.
- Ruth (7/5): Good -
- Carlos (4/5): Disappointing - The room I booked was not ready at 7 pm and they gave me another one... With two single beds and with a bad smell. Honestly, it was a bad experience
- Tamuz (6/5): Pleasant -
- Mick (9/5): Good starting and ending place for treks to just relax - Location was off the main road, so a little quieter. Great restaurant. Wonderful staff. Near other restaurants and all the trekking businesses. Nothing
- Laure (8/5): Very good - Very good location right in front of the nightmarket. Good restaurant with a lot of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Good help to book tickets and taxis! Value for money.
- Lior (5/5): Passable -
- Marian (10/5): Location great opposite night market, very simple rooms clean comfortable low pressure hot water fan aircon fine ! - Location -
- Gemma (8/5): Very good -
- Francesca (8/5): Very good - It’s very good value for the money , nice and cozy . Basic , but clean and with nice breakfast
- Lynwenm (7/5): Quiet location off the Main Street with an excellent location opposite the night market - Breakfast was ok and the location was great. Price was ok too. The toilet was broken and the bedding sheets not good.
The staff too were a bit surly except for the gentle who checked us in.
We asked about changing to a balcony room and that was dismissed despite there seeming to be vacant balcony rooms.
- Tara (6/5): Pleasant - The location was great and there was hot water. The staff were very nice but none of them spoke English except for one lady that we saw only once. The sheets were clean but not the rest of the room. You seem to have a lot of choice for brekfast, but in gact it's quite poor. The noodle soup was without broth so it didn't taste at all, and the pancake was dry. Not good value for money. We were accommodated in room B7 which was overlooking a chicken farm and it stinked a lot!
- Claudia (6/5): Pleasant - After reading all the reviews I was terrified of going there but tbh it was one of the cleanest rooms I have been during this trip / it literally didn’t even have a one spiderweb.
The location is of course fine cause the city is tiny and there are like 3/4 hostels in general, so you don’t have much to chose from. For sure the shower pressure was pretty bad, it took me 10 minutes to rinse my short hair. And the stuff - the young boy who is always present there does not speak A WORD in English, even about very basic stuff, like „can I pay later”, „can I stay one more night”.
- Patrik (4/5): Not for us - Location is good but nothing else. Bed is u-shaped and horrible. Room looks like a prison cell. Would not stay here again.
- Anne (6/5): Ok option for a short stay in Luang Namtha - The location was nice and the building looked pretty There were cockroaches in the room and the duvets and pillows smelled very moldy
- Medhavi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jake (10/5): Exceptional -
- Céline (7/5): Good - Nice location. We spent 2 nights at different time and the quality of room are different depending if you are first floor or ground floor. Dark room
- Shakil (10/5): Great stay in Luang Namtha - Conveniently located in luang namtha
Can rent good quality bikes
Friendly staff Laundry was a tad overpriced
- Freddie (8/5): Very good -
- George (8/5): Very good -
- Grace (7/5): Good -
- Isobel (10/5): Exceptional - This guest house is great. Lovely rooms with super comfortable beds. The breakfast choices are good and they give you slips, so I’m the morning all you say is your room number. Restaurant has a huge menu. Location is great.
- Sarah (8/5): Good restaurant, bad mattress - Good location, good restaurant, staff was helpful. Breakfast was included, they offered four options which was really nice. The mattress was really bad (lumpy, hard), the room wasn’t very clean and the water pressure was really low (it took me ages to wash my hair).
- John (8/5): Very good - Lovely guesthouse, with friendky and helpful staff, good breakfast. The rooms aren't huge but OK for the price. Like almost everywhere we've stayed in Laos, the wifi was not excellent, and the tv didn't work.
- Marta (8/5): Very good - Location, very clean room and bathroom! Good breakfast
- Deb (5/5): Passable -
- Luke (8/5): Great base to explore the area - Simple spacious rooms with WiFi and good breakfast in the restaurant. We hired motorbikes from here and also booked a jungle trek from the neighbouring business. A great base for exploring the area.
- Rey (8/5): Very good -
- Michal (9/5): Superb - Great value for money. The rooms are nice and they serve good food. Perfect location.
- Barend (7/5): Good - Friendly staff, good food and big rooms. Good location close to the nightmarket. Not the most clean and a bit outdated.
- Carol (9/5): Lovely place in a great location. Would stay there again but check prices of anything extra. - Location, restaurant food and breakfast. The girls working there were all lovely. The young man ripped us off getting a taxi. We spent a LOT of money at the hotel and restaurant and he insisted we pay the taxi driver up front then took a large cut. I know it was 100k Kip more than we should have paid but we had a train to catch. Laundry services also double the cost of the lady around the corner.
- Carol (8/5): Fabulous - Great location, clean quiet and comfortable Only a small thing- would love creating lamps
- David (7/5): Good -
- Piotr (6/5): Pleasant -
- Kati (9/5): Superb - Really nice place Little expencive for lonely traveller
- Noga (3/5): Bad experience, good location - The staff don’t know the simplest words in English. ants everywhere and I’m pretty sure there are bedbugs. stained sheets and dirty room. door doesn’t lock. laundry came back stinky and some of it not clean at all.
The only good thing is the location.
- Anna (5/5): In Luang Namtha maybe Zuela is the best solution (coming from Luang Prabang There is no comparison) - Good position to reach all agencies and organize your hiking. In fronte of Night Market (deep experience of local life) Air conditioning (difficult to set)
