It was a great choice! - We travel extensively throughout India, and this hotel stands out from many others due to its excellent service and good amenities. It's rare to find a hotel like this in India. The rooms match their description on Booking.com. The interior is beautiful. The breakfast is superb, with a view of the surrounding nature. There are opportunities for sports and relaxation in the swimming pool. The owner and managers are attentive and provide all the necessary assistance for your stay. We highly recommend this place for your vacation! Transportation is needed to move to other points within this location or to the city. But that can be arranged.
• Laoise (5/5): An okay stay - The staff were very friendly and helpful. They recommended activities for us to do, helped us book taxis/ tuk tuks and helped us get dinner when we arrived late at night. The breakfast was nice and the rooms were basic but comfortable. It was close to restaurants and they had bikes available for rent. We booked 3 rooms, all of which had ants and cockroaches and 1 with no working A/C. The staff explained the bugs were common due to weather and did facilitate 1 room change. Because this isn’t an official Auroville guesthouse we couldn’t get an Aurocard which made things a little difficult but we worked around it

• Casey (10/5): Would stay again - The hosts were very very accommodating, they helped us order trusted rickshaws, provided us with all our needs. Breakfast was served every morning until 9:30am, usually a South Indian breakfast and toast butter jam tea, but sometimes had pancakes also. Nice pool. Really big yoga studio with mats and yoga blocks, table tennis and other board games available. Would definitely recommend! Everything was perfect!

They also guided us with nearby spots to visit and they had bicycle and scooter for rent . Nothing
• Alexia (10/5): - I liked everything here. The rooms were clean, the food was delicious and the staff were very polite. Parthiban with his family made our stay to be very pleasant and they were always there to help us with everything that we need it. If you are coming here without having any plans or you don’t knows what you could do, don’t worry, they will give you so many different activities that are happening in the Auroville in the period that you are staying, so you cannot get bored. I highly recommend this place.

Great for a relaxing stay or workation. - Staff was 100% supportive, solving any issues and being proactive to recommend things that they knew I would enjoy. Kitchen made nice food and you can rent scooters to get around the town. I was working remotely, so the amazing wifi was exactly what I needed. It wasn't exactly in "Auroville proper", and you need a scooter to get around, but as long as you know that, you'll be fine.

• Mariam_k (10/5): Amazing experience, peaceful and cozy stay - Me and my husband had a wonderful and peaceful stay at Panism hotel. Everything was amazing, we had a booking for one week and we continued our stay, we didn't want to leave this place. The staff was always happy to help us in everything, everyone was very friendly and nice; The room was very comfortable, clean and cozy; The hotel itself was another experience, with beautiful garden, a pool and a climbing wall. Every morning we enjoyed delicious breakfast on the terrace with beautiful, panoramic view. I would write on and on about the family, the owners of the hotel. We had privilege to meet them and each of them showed huge love and kindness towards us. This place and these people forever will be in our hearts. Thank you for everything, we'll never forget this time! We didn't like leaving the place

• Carol (8/5): Super staff and breakfast so we would recommend - Small swimming pool was nice, in a good location, walkable to Auroville its self and the local village which has a nice range of places to eat. The room was on the small side but we went for a ‘standard’ so not complaining.

• Ohto (8/5): Good place to explore Auroville - Location is peacefull and green. Also convenient to Auroville and Pondicherry. Staff was friendly and very helpful, they organized scooter for us on arrival. Breakfast on the roof terrace was beautiful. Our room was a bit moist.

• Johann (7/5): Good - New hotel with good facilities and spacious rooms ,common areas,restaurant and terrace. Room had a TV, kettle fan, AC, and hot water. Be aware that you need wheels to move around the area for food and the like. The place is run by a bunch of teenagers whose manager can not or doesn't want to control. They had their loud gatherings and kept yelling across the buildings. However, they rectified their behaviour when we asked them for. The restaurant is very limited, and the breakfast is repetitive, always idly, and toast. Occasionally, they even run out of coffee. With a better service, this place could be a 10.
• Vikash (9/5): Panism Lifestyle was worth it - Overall the vibe of the place was really calm and serene. It's located in the forest area, so it was very pleasant. The hotel staff was really helpful and polite. Breakfast tasted like a home made meal, as it was complementary for me, it was cherry on top. Overall I would recommend this to people. The only thing to watch out for is that it's a little far away from Pondicherry, around 10 - 12 KMs. But I loved it as I don't mind riding a little bit.

Pool is of medium size. Water was clean. Overall very good place for family and friends. Value for money. Bed size is small. Extra bed will be required if you have two kids. Little far from main Pondicherry.

• Lakshmishree (6/5): Ok for a short stay but dont expect good service - Location was good for going by e bicycles to Auroville. Swimming pool and AC was nice to have in this hot climate. There were openable windows so we could air the room with fresh air when we wanted. Without a vehicle/cycle, there is not much around, not even shops. You will have to walk atleast 5 to 10 mins to find the next road side shop. The room smelt a bit weird. It might be the smell of their cleaning agent. They should change this to something that smells better! The budget room layout is very cramped and bed is very high. No elevator. Whoever designed that building should be sued for incompetence. The staff is very lethargic and keep changing the 'rules' as they please. It is clearly written that breakfast is from 7.30am but if you ask them, they will just keep repeating "breakfast ready 8.30" even after requesting for earlier breakfast since we had to leave at 8am, we got it only on the 1st day. Second day, they gave 2 pieces of toasted bread and butter. Honey after request. Third day we didnt even bother to waste time and just ate outside. The swimming pool was fine but water was a bit salty. In the end, they wanted to charge 3% extra "tax" for paying with debit card which no decent hotels do. They just said, its our hotel rules. We asked them to show where it was written and also that this was not mentioned to us beforehand. After expressing our disappointment and asking for breakfast refund, they agreed to waive this so-called "tax"

• Jonali (4/5): Not good. Visiting a propert has to leave you with good memories. I skipped breakfast due to lift - The room allotted to me initially was a tiny room with a big double bed and there was no space to move around. It was suffocating to me so I requested for another room. It took them some time to figure out another room which was a deluxe room and I was told that the price would be different- I said that I’d like to cancel the booking. At this juncture I was told I would be upgraded without additional cost. This is appreciated Many things. First of all, the rooms shown initially were not at all worth Rs 2800. Absolutely suffocating. The beds were too high. No kitchen support. I was hungry when I checked in at 415 pm- I was told the kitchen opens at 5pm. But when I reached at 515pm, the kitchen was till closed. I was told that it will open at 530. So I asked for toast and butter Malfunction of lift- the lift stopped midway to the restaurant- and for 5 minutes it didn’t move. I called the property no and the call went unanswered for 4 calls. Finally he called up and said there was power failure. This is not acceptable for a property- a serious security concern. Plus the lift does not stop exactly at the right place on the ground floor. About 1/2 metre above the landing Poor communication about property - for eg lift, kitchen etc. No proper reception.

Even at higher level didn’t seem overly friendly when checking in and out. Very strict rules that don’t get enforced at the pool when Indian people were jumping over my head in the pool fully clothed.

• Julia (10/5): Exceptional - The terrace is special! It's in the shadow and you can chill there throughout the day. Delicious food! The room is also clean and nice, with air con and a fan, wifi is great and everybody is very helpful. Sometimes it was a bit noisy in the afternoon, so use ear plugs and everything is fine.

• Julia (10/5): I can recommend - I absolutely liked this hotel. As a solo traveller I had to choose a safe hotel and this hotel gives you a familiar atmosphere right away. The room was clean and nice, but The best place was The terrace with a restaurant. You get authentic Indian fold and a tasty breakfast in the morning. The bathroom was very warm and humid, but that wasn't a big problem.

There is nothing nearby and no bikes to rent( I asked for information about Auroville and was told to ask at the visitor centre about Auroville and bikes - I did and they had no bikes either ) Good breakfast but other food was twice served something I didn’t order and charged for the meal I didn’t order
• Anil (8/5): Very good - Property was located little interior than expected however managed to have a good stay due to availability of rental bikes, Property was excellent and couldn't ask for more, whatever little issue's we had was ironed out by the incharge MR Dheer who was awesome and had guest satisfaction as top priority, would definitely recommend for a peaceful stay away from hustle and bustle of City Not much, Pool was overcharged at 400 for 2 hours and the time slot was not convenient

Neat Comfy Homely Divine Good food too.only thing is we can't expect late night dinners at their roof top restaurant as they close by 10. But never experienced such a divine stay outside home till now. Keep it up & all the very best. Special shootout to Dheer, our wonderful host.

Your own water station, tea kettle, a swimming pool and a climbing wall! Roof top restaurant is excellent. Prices are really fair. The hotel is perfect. In auroville everything is a bit thin spread and far. U need a bike.
