• Mike (8/5): Jedes Zimmer hat eine unterschiedliche Matratze - Das Personal war sehr nett. - Die Lage ist ruhig. - Nur wenige Minuten zu Fuß bis zum Nachtmarkt. Die Unterkunft ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, was mich nicht gestört hat. - Die Matratzen in den Zimmern sind alle unterschiedlich. - Als ich mir die Zimmer angeschaut hatte und mich dann für eines der Zimmer (aufgrund der super bequemen Matratze) entschieden hatte, war das Zimmer am nächsten Tag belegt. Ich konnte dann am übernächsten Tag zur bequemen Matratze wechseln. - Also am besten gleich bei der Buchung vor Ort sagen, was man wann haben möchte und dann sollte das auch passen.
• Monica (9/5): - The room was clean and quiet. The bathroom had recently been renovated with great warm water and sufficient pressure. Cold water and tea or coffee was provided in the communal area. There had been a mix-up with room assignments but the manager was very apologetic and able to resolve the problem efficiently. We were also able to leave our belongings in the guesthouse after check-out and use bathroom facilities upon picking things up.

• Stuart (5/5): Good location and good rooms but... - Good location. The address in Booking isn't the one where it is, though the location is good. I'm not sure why. Paid at guest house which under their conversation made it a few pounds more expensive. Staff continually on the phone at all hours, loudly outside the room. Lack of interest in customers needs.
• Grace (6/5): - The room was clean and in good condition, with both a fan and AC available. It stayed fairly cool so we mostly used the fan, which was nice. The bathroom was also clean and well maintained. Free filtered water available at reception too. Very good location, perfect walking distance from the main town. However, the room is very small for two people and there’s almost nowhere to put your belongings, which makes it feel cluttered quickly. The bed was quite hard and the pillows weren’t very comfortable. There was also no hand soap in the bathroom. We also found the receptionist fairly unhelpful. When we tried to pay for the room we were told twice to come back later without explanation. When we finally paid, she had no change and said she’d call us when she did, but never did. At checkout she still didn’t have change. Based on her original receipt we had basically paid the correct amount, but she added 1k kip at checkout, making it look like we were short. It felt a bit strange and made us feel like we were an inconvenience for not having the exact amount, even though she knew from the start we were paying cash and never had change. The hotel also advertises an airport transfer, but the driver never showed up. He eventually replied later that evening saying he had “forgotten he was picking us up.” The curtains also let in quite a lot of light in the morning just FYI for anyone who is a sensitive to light whilst sleeping.

• Roohollah Zamani (3/5): - I didn't like anything about villa Phonethavy. The owner is very unpolit and rude. When I reached Loung Prabang , using GPS, it showed the address to another place and I couldn't find it after about an hour of wandering here and there. And I was getting tired because about two hours had passed. Finally, I talked to a tricycle and he charged me about 15 dollars and brought me to the hotel. I talked to the hotel attendant and I passed by. And the next morning, I talked to the hotel owner and said, look, your hotel is here but Google Maps shows a different place. He very rudely said it's not my problem and complained to Booking.com. And I told him that even after two hours of wandering, I gave the tricycle 15 dollars, but he didn't accept it and made a fuss. And finally, he even wanted to charge me extra money. He was a very rude and impolite man. I want Booking.com to pay me. Also, I was wandering around the street for two hours with my luggage.

• Sahertian (10/5): - Hele lieve mensen. Kamer top voor de prijs. Warme en fijne douche! Super dicht bij het centrum en de nightmarket. We zijn harde bedden hier gewend, maar deze was wel heel hard en hier hadden we wel last van.

• Marjorie (8/5): Établissement bien placé - La guesthouse est bien placée dans Luang Prabang, les chambres sont très propres. Nous avions réservé pour 2 adultes et 1 enfant. Nous nous doutions que nous n’aurions qu’un seul grand lit, cependant il n’y avait que 2 oreillers et lorsque nous en avons demandé un supplémentaire, cela nous a été refusé. Quand j’en ai fait la remarque au propriétaire, il m’a dit que c’était pour des chambres pour 2, et que mon enfant voyageait gratuitement. Or, ceci est faux puisque la deuxième chambre que j’avais réservée pour un couple d’amis était 15 euros moins chère. Par ailleurs, au moment du Check out nous avons du payer 200k kips en plus selon la conversion dollars/kip du propriétaire… Dommage !
• Stuart (9/5): Well kept and clean guest house close to everything - Excellent, quiet and good clean place. Staff and owner are very friendly and nice. Nothing is too much for them. It's quiet (I had a back room) and there is a lovely small courtyard to chill out in. For the money exceptional Nothing. It really met my expectations.

Deux problèmes : la porte n'est pas isolante du bruit du couloir et de l'accueil. Gênant le matin. Et il n'y a pas de chaînes européennes sur la télé. Dommage pour un accueil de touristes. D'autant qu'elles sont disponibles ailleurs. Il manque d'endroit pour poser sa valise ou ses affaires, une table par exemple ou un bureau.

• Aurelia (1/5): - Lokalizacja Po przyjeździe dostaliśmy pokój, który kompletnie nam nie odpowiadał. Był zagrzybiały i miał nieprzyjemny zapach. Po zgłoszeniu problemu wymieniono nam go na inny.. Nie było ciepłej wody. Wieczorem okazało się, że nie ma jej w ogóle, więc nie dało się wziąć prysznica. Dopiero rano wrócił w miarę "normalny" przepływ. Na tym niestety się nie skończyło, bo przez całą noc było bardzo głośno. Naprzeciwko działa bar do późnych godzin nocnych, nad ranem włączyła się pompa wody. W okolicy da się znaleźć nocleg w podobnej cenie, a w zdecydowanie lepszym stanie. Nie polecam.

• Freddy (8/5): Gute Lage und saubere Zimmer - Das Zimmer war gut ausgestattet und sauber und die Betten waren bequem. Die Lage ist sehr gut, auch mit Restaurant und Cafe und Kiosk um die Ecke und die Lage ist sehr ruhig. Die Rezeptionistin hat leider kein Wort English verstanden und auch nach mehrmaligem Fragen war uns nicht klar ob Booking das Geld von der Kreditkarte einzieht oder man vor Ort zahlen muss. Man zahlt vor Ort beim CheckOut entweder bar oder mit Kreditkarte, wobei 3 % Gebühr fällig werden. Wir hatten das Zimmer gegenüber von der Rezeption und es war morgens ab 7 Uhr recht laut durch Telefonate etc.

• Noa (7/5): We hadden een prima verblijf. - De locatie was top! En we konden scooters huren via de accommodatie, dat was handig. Onze ruimte lag bij de ingang waardoor het best gehorig was. Een rekje in de badkamer hing los en toen we dit aangaven werd er niet echt iets mee gedaan.

• Kalpana (3/5): Staff not friendly. - Cleanliness. The staff. Most of the time, there won't be anyone at the reception. Mr. Kon, the manager is not at all friendly and co-operative. Money minded people don't care about the customers. The other girl at the reception didn't know English. So, communication was a big problem. The room is very small. No place to keep & open your luggage. No hair dryer or electric kettle provided. The location is very good. Walking distance from night market.

• Lindy (10/5): A great guesthouse - The staff and hosts were all fabulous. Hoa was so helpful when I got sick. Cork provided us with a great trip to the falls etc. Location was awesome. Nice court yard to sit and meet other travellers.

• Colin (7/5): Basic room and wrong location using Booking.com 'get directions' link - When I got to meet Hoa, she was very helpful. The accommodation was very clean. The directions in the Booking.com reservation are incorrect. I spent nearly half an hour looking and asking in cafes and shops but without luck. I called the number listed on Booking.com but it is 'temporarily disconnected'. The actual location is 550m away and is well located if you have luck to find it.

• Brendan (10/5): MAGICAL!….a beautiful location in an incredible town - It was cracking accommodation….everything about it exceeded my expectations….I SO enjoyed my time there…location is 12 out of 10…the staff could not have been more helpful, accommodating and friendly…I had the BEST time there, due in large part to the amazing staff…nothing was ever a problem…they catered to every query…I would TOTALLY recommend this beautiful Hotel to anyone looking for an authentic and wonderful time in Luang….THANKYOU staff…you guys are THE BEST! There was NOTHING I didn’t like

• Nikolas (10/5): Best Place In Luang Prabang - This is the best place to stay in Luang Prabang. The staff and owner are extremely kind. Location is perfect walking distance to the center and away from the noise so it is quiet. The room and facilities are very clean and well taken care of. The bed is very comfortable. We left an item behind and they were very nice to keep it safe until we pick it back up. Highly recommend. Nothing
• Val (8/5): Very good - Good Location - only a short walk to the old town, very nice staff, good beds, coffee supplied, seats and tables outside. A fridge for general use. You had to ask for the room to be cleaned or get clean towels and toilet paper. If you didn’t ask your toilet waste basket wouldn’t even get emptied. The photos indicated breakfast but breakfast wasn’t supplied but they do provide coffee and bananas.
• Erica (10/5): Highly recommended, very clean and comfy - Highly recommended! Very clean and comfortable guesthouse in the center of luang prabang. The rooms are very clean as well as the comun areas. You have table and chairs outdoors, free coffee and water! They organize tours at the waterfalls and taxi to the train station at a very reasonable price
