• James (10/5): Fantastic Villa. Excellent location. The room: spacious, very clean, nicely decorated. Super host! - We were able to coordinate a meeting time, via email, to obtains a key to the room. The Villa had some construction work being done which was close to our room. On arrival the Host generously offered a different room! Thank you! Attention: Booking.com I did not always receive important emails from the host when using the booking.com method of communication. I don’t normally go to the website to communicate with the host. I received emails via Mail app prior on to our departure but not while on our vacation. Important emails started appearing after our departure. Normally all fee’s are included in the final price. The collection of the tourist tax reminder was received via an email, after our departure, when using the booking.com correspondence method. The email requested to leave the tourist tax amount in the room prior to departure. I had forgotten about the tourist tax fee collection because I reserved a long time ago despite having read tourist tax will be collected on arrival and are unaccustomed to paying this tax. I did not even think about this fee when at the Villa. Hotels include it in final payment so why can’t booking.com do this. There has to be a better way. Now we are trying to coordinate with the host on how to pay this fee.
• Heinz (7/5): Wohnen bei IKEA - Wohnen bei IKEA - würde ich als Überschrift wählen ! Alles optisch echt nett, dennoch war es doch recht knapp und eng bemessen, auch im Bad. Echt ruhige Lage, da es im Gewerbegebiet liegt und wir übers Wochenende dort waren. Auch die Anbindung an den Zug/ Bus ist optimal. Ich hege allerdings große Zweifel in Bezug auf die Ruhe, wenn das Haus mit 20 Apartments voll ausgebucht ist, da wir ja jetzt alleine dort waren. Am letzten Tag war dann noch eine Familie mit Kind da, dass man definitiv gehört hat.

• Krystyna (10/5): Alles war super - Die Lage ist super an einem malerischen Ort, die Altstadt lässt sich aber trotzdem gut erreichen. Unser Apartment war sehr sauber und frisch renoviert: Nicht nur war die nötige Ausstattung da, sondern das Apartment war auch sehr geschmackvoll gestaltet. Wir haben dort sehr gerne Zeit verbracht! Sehr angenehm war es auch, vom Gastgeber persönlich empfangen zu werden - wir konnten ihn während des Aufenthalts problemlos erreichen. Keine Nachteile.

• Markus (10/5): Die schönsten Weihnachten überhaupt - Man weiß gar nicht, wo man anfangen soll. Die Lage ist super. Direkt eine Bushaltestelle vor der Tür und in 15 Minuten ist man im Zentrum. Das Apartment ist mit sehr viel Liebe ausgestattet und auch das ganze Haus ist ein Traum!!! Herr Maier hat hier einen Ruheort für die Seele erschaffen und war äußerst hilfsbereit bei allen Fragen. • Nur Farah Adilah (9/5): A great stay. - I love the design. Very modern and classy. Have almost everything needed. Near to bus station and near to central salzburg. The neighbourhood is safe and peaceful. The place is very clean and felt like home. Mr Herbert, the manager of the villa is so kind and cared to tour the villa. Such a great person. I wish there’s a hair dryer available in the room and the blind covering the toilet is translucent so it is still visible when somebody is doing business in the toilet.

We loved the coziness of the apt and the convenience to/from city center and train station. Short walks to bus and rail. Nothing comes to mind.

On site car parking too. A very enjoyable scenic one hour walk into central Salzburg was also possible from the villa. On site manager very helpful. Would definitely recommend. Renovation work was fully underway with some disruption. Limited walkable facilities near the villa. Garden seating limited.

Herr Maier hat uns wieder persönlich empfangen und wir haben uns sofort wieder sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Apartments in der Villa sind alle unterschiedlich und sehr ansprechend und liebevoll eingerichtet. Die Lage und Nähe nach Salzburg ist top und auch sehr gut mit dem Fahrrad zu erreichen. Wir hatten auch dieses mal nicht zu beanstanden und freuen uns auf ein nächstes Wiedersehen.

• NATHALIE (8/5): Super lieu, dommage que cela soit gaché par les femmes de ménage ! - L'établissement est en effet une villa réaménagée avec un grand jardin très bien situé, à proximité immédiate de l'arrêt de bus. Notre hote était charmant, et a été très aimable et facilitant pour notre séjour, merci ! Il faut avoir conscience que l'ensemble de cette maison comporte toute une série d'appartements, et il y a donc une équipe de femmes de ménages qui ont tendance à considérer les hôtes comme des intrus. La chambre est située tout contre le hall-couloir, et être réveillé à 7h de matin par des discussions très fortes de femmes de ménage qui s'interpellent bruyamment n'est pas très agréable. Je n'avais pas fermé la porte de l'appartement à clé, et l'une d'entre elle est même rentrée en trombe dans l'appartement et face à mes cris ne s'est même pas excusée. Idem le jour du départ ou nous avions la chambre jusqu'à 11h normalement, mais ou une femme de ménage est venue à 8h en nous indiquant qu'elle voulait faire le ménage... Dommage...

• Jovana (10/5): Exceptional - Very comfortable appartment with everything you might need during your stay in Salzburg. The location is perfect, supermarket and couple of restaurants are available nearby as well as bus station, and it is also very close to the city center.
• Paul (10/5): Stunningly beautiful apartment with a tranquil outlook. - The host was very friendly, helpful and is rightly proud of this masterpiece. Our apartment was designed and furnished to perfection, and it was impeccably clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything that we needed, including a microwave. The property is located on the northern outskirts of Salzburg and it is also only a short drive to the stunning Maria Plain Basilica and parklands. My wife and I were sad that we could not stay longer. A wonderful experience in every way and it is highly recommended. Nothing - a perfect stay.

• Joan (10/5): We highly recommend staying at Villa Wickenburg. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. - Herbert met us when we arrived and was very helpful in answering all of our questions. The room was beautiful and very comfortable and had everything we needed. We were even able to wash and dry our laundry! Additionally the bus stop to go into downtown Salzburg was very convenient which was handy so we didn't have to drive or park in the city.

• Hanne-mariè (10/5): Exceptional - Location was just outside of the city centre, right next to bus- and train stops. Villa Wickenburg was just as gorgeous as in the photos. Our apartment was the Cosy Garden, and we loved it. Herbert was welcoming us as we arrived, showed us around and gave some nice tips to visit. He was very helpful all the way.
• Vivian (9/5): Enjoyed my stay @ a villa with pretty & modern decorations - Interior decoration was beautifully done and whimsical. When entering the building it set up a good impression. Love the wisteria wallpaper in the bathroom. Quiet and convenient area for those with car. Bus stop very close walk and convenient to go into old town. As it is an old building, there is no AC so opening the windows will let bugs in.

The apartment was big enough for too and had enough facilities to use. Perfect location for a week of holidays There were no blinds to darken the room at night, so you would wake up a little early due to sunlight getting into the room.

• Chris (10/5): Salzburg Surprise! - This was such a lovely place to stay after our 5 weeks traveling Europe. Great room, facilities and lovely gardens to relax in. Herbet our host was awesome and super helpful. I really loved the use of the ebike to explore Salzburg. Will be staying here again when we come back. Nothing was perfect!

Close to both bus stop and S-Bahn train stop. Walking distance to grocery store. Kitchenette in room and washer and dryer facilities on premises. No AC. Very few eateries within walking distance. Going to Salzburg town center requires bus.

• Inge (10/5): A gem at the outskirts of Salzburg - Villa Wickenburg is a gem! Great location at the outskirts of Salzburg. No traffic-noise. Newly renovated house. The apartments are beautiful and tastefully decorated. Very comfortable and spotlessly clean. You will find a bakery (opens at 06.15) and grocery shops nearby. Herbert, the host, is friendly, professional and super attentive; always ready to give tips on what to do and what to see. We would definately stay there next time in Salzburg. Nothing.

The room was just renovated and everything was in place as it should be. The atmosphere was calm and fitted perfectly with my mood on this trip. The bed was really comfortable. • Emma (10/5): We loved our cozy stay in this great apartment style room! - The apartment was so cozy! It had everything we needed. Heated floors were amazing, especially because it was quite cold out. The host was very friendly and helpful, and answered all our questions. He even booked a taxi for us to get to the airport! The bathroom was so big and the shower was wonderful. Overall, we loved our stay! The wifi was a bit spotty and the location was quite far from the city center. However, it was so cozy that it was worth it!
