Guest Reviews
- faraaz (8/5): - The location, the convenience and the affordabitly. The place had everything and was safe. The fridge made a bit of a noise at night.
- Uzoamaka Charity (1/5): It was horrible experience . I arrived at the address he sent, mind you I got there around 7pm and the entire street was - Nothing good at all It’s probably a scam,I couldn’t locate the property I paid for and the contact information to get through to the host ,no one answered.
- Alan and Helen (9/5): Greenpoint Haven provides ideal, comfortable self catering accommodation in Cape Town - Greenpoint Haven provided an excellent base to be able to spend a week in Cape Town. From booking to checking in, the process was completed with ease. The flat is comfortable and well equipped. The views are super. Having a parking is a real bonus in this area. Thank you for providing good accommodation. We had no complaints thank you

- Kim (5/5): Great area, but I need better cleaning to be done there. - I liked the view. I wasn’t happy with the curtains they’re not positioned properly, appear unclean, and are torn. I also noticed two cockroaches when I walked in. Please could you address this.

- Olivia (9/5): Real haven - Comfortable and clean. Location is excellent- we could walk to where we wanted to be. Parking was secured. Area was safe to walk to restaurants after dark. Communication with booking.com was bad. Contact owner directly and he responded quickly

- Elly (10/5): Geweldig verblijf en geweldige plek - Mooie en schone studio in geweldige buurt. Lekker bed. Goede douche (alleen het water liep niet zo goed weg). Overdekte parkeerplaats wat heerlijk was met het warme weer. Veel eet- en drinkgelegenheden in de buurt. Alles was prima. Er is geen airco maar dat wisten we. We een fijne ventilator.
- Giovanni (1/5): Improve the cleaning - The staff was responsive and available to support over, the position is great The room was dusty, and infested from insects, we past one night with some of the all over the room, unfortunately this happened the one time the first night but the second was terrible and we run away
- Natasha (9/5): Modern, clean studio in excellent location with secure parking and lovely views! - The apartment has secure, gate-controlled parking, which is a huge bonus in this area where street parking fills up quickly.
The location is excellent — we felt safe walking around and it’s right in the middle of a lively restaurant strip, plus a Woolworths within very easy walking distance. We walked to the stadium and to the V&A Waterfront.
The apartment itself was modern, spotless, and well equipped with everything we needed. We especially appreciated the standing fan, as we visited in mid-December. The building and surrounding area were quiet, and the windows blocked out noise very well.
The bed was a great size and comfortable, bedding was clean, and there were more than enough towels. The shower was nice and big!
Check-in instructions were very clear, and our hosts, Johan and Janine, were friendly, responsive, and helpful, providing prompt information.
We also loved the views — from seeing the mountains on the walk to the apartment, to the outlook across Green Point from the room.
It is a studio apartment (true to the photos available), so is compact in size, but for my husband and I it was perfect for our two-night stay! There isn't really cupboard space, so might be a bit more challenging for much longer stays. But we would definitely return and thoroughly enjoyed our time here! The shower had slight drainage issues, with water taking a bit longer to drain, though this really didn’t impact our stay negatively.
We did notice one or two small cockroaches during our stay. The apartment itself was extremely clean, and this felt more like a reality of staying in an old city rather than a cleanliness issue - we were just a bit more cautious about rinsing cutlery before use.
- Wendy (9/5): - Room was neat, clean and walking distance to some amenities. Property over all was very neat. Area felt safe. Problem with curtains, shower drained the water very very slowly. Maybe if towels were replaced or more added for stay longer than 2 days.

- Helen (8/5): - It was super easy to get into the flat as we arrived at about 1.00am due to plane being delayed.
All the facilities were modern and the flat was clean. The pre-communication was on point. There was someone parked in our parkin 405 when we arrived and we had to use Visitor parking throughout.
The flat was very hot, we would have preferred a ceiling fan, not one we had to take from cupboard.
- Tshego (5/5): - The location of this property is fabulous, you can walk to all the great restaurants in Greenpoint and V&A Waterfront. However the unit is very small and the level of detail wasn't too great. The couch is quiet uncomfortable, curtains could do with a wash and fixing, even the level of cleanliness could be improved.
- Emmanuel (10/5): -

- Tshepo (9/5): - Everything else was superb The noise levels from construction were troubling but understandable, so we had to stay far away and as long as possible.
- Steven (10/5): For overnighting the location and convenience was great. - Location excellent. Ease of access. Good communication with you. Curtains and railings need attention.
A box of tissues in the bathroom would be appreciated.
- Tshegofatso (10/5): My stay was perfect.,not complicated, not stressful. Everything was in order. The place was clean. - I liked everything about it. The view was beautiful. The bed was warm. Wifi was perfect. There is nothing I didn't like.
- Packer (9/5): A super spot 😁 - The location is great. Convenient and a walking distance from shops and restaurants 🙂. The apartment was comfortable and had a lovely feel 💖. Very clean 🫧 The kitchen was well equipped 👍. The complex was neat and tidy and safe. Having inside parking was a huge bonus ✨. The area was quiet with little night time noise 💖. It was a perfect spot for coming and going as a tourist in the city 🏙️. Would have loved a coffee machine 😄....a Nespresso or the like ✨💖....but not a negative as such 💕. Suggestions would be a small mirror on the desk for the ladies to do their make up 🩷🌷.
- gaby (8/5): Perfect -
- Riegardt (9/5): -
- Arnold (10/5): -
- Faeez (10/5): Exceptional -
- Samaai (10/5): Perfect - Everything Nothing to mention
- Leanne (10/5): Exceptional - Location. It was so easy to get to the tourist sites There is no heater in the apartment, only a fan. However, on sunny days, the sun warms the apartment. On Rainy cloudy days the apartment is abit cold but manageable.
- Marjolyn (10/5): Exceptional - Great location to coffee shops, restaurants and the V&A. The passage to the unit and the bathroom was a bit tight.
The construction noise spoilt the tranquillity.
- Nan (5/5): Hostile Host - The apartment was comfortable and decent. Not the best of hosts can be hostile and change tune when things don't go their way. There was a broken handle on arrival, which we forgot to report on arrival but had timestamped proof on camera, which was disregarded.
2nd, Booking.com clearly asked if the reservation was for a third party, and I was upfront about it and shared the third party details, and the booking was accepted. However, at the end of the stay, I'm told the host doesn't allow third-party reservations, the questions is, why was it accepted then?
