Allison (10/5): Excellent service and luxurious stay - Breakfast and dinner were included and they were uniformly stellar experiences across the board. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. All of the employees were beyond polite, courteous and helpful. The open air onsen on-location was pure bliss. Honestly there is really nothing negative we could say about this hotel. It is not in the main strip of onsens so just be aware of that but it's only a 15 minute walk into town and they offer a free shuttle so it was not an issue at all for us.

The hotel is very far away from the Main Street hence there isn’t any shops or eateries around. There’s shuttle services but it is not frequent. The amenities provided in the Onsen is not adequate as compared to those that I have stayed before. There are no views around the hotel.

There's lots of attention towards the customer, and the services offered are really high quality. The room we stayed in was beautiful, clean and very spacious. The meals feature fresh, local ingredients, the courses are explained to you in great detail. The onsen pools are also very nice, they vary in size and beauty, make sure to visit the upstairs one.

Tiratat (6/5): - - The staff was very friendly. - They have frequent shuttle buses for check in and in the evenings - I can hear neighbors in other rooms all the time. Especially when they slide the door. It's hard for me to sleep at night. - Food looked amazing but I don't think it's up to the standard. For example, we were supposed to cook the beef ourselves and on a slightly hot hot stone; I don't think this is the best way to cook this. - I paid a high price for the stay. I'd imagine the chef would do more to cook the food, but most dishes were made so I would cook it myself: sukiyaki, steak, nabe, and etc. I'd imagine if I paid the similar amount I'd get better food at restaurants nearby. Or just get at the seafood market. - The view in my room was bad. It overlooks a courtyard with nothing and a bunch of storage
Uldal (10/5): The best hotel experience in our life - Everything. The most amazing two days of my life. I've never experienced a more thoughtful staff. We stayed in a traditional Japanese style room, which was classy and comfortable. We also loved the crab kaiseki dinner we had one evening. We had some food allergies and staff was super accomodative beforehand and attentive during the dinner. 10/10 will come again

Neill (10/5): Nice and accommodating for foreign tourist - It's clean and the staff are very accommodating. Even staff around the area went above and beyond helping us get to the hotel from the train station. We missed the shuttle and they tracked down a bus to help us get there. The food was also fresh and beautifully prepared and the onsen was nice. The hotel is a little far from everything else, but that can't be helped. Luckily there is a shuttle that they run to get you to places around town.

Anastasiia (10/5): Loved almost everything, but the early bath switch made enjoying the open-air onsen inconvenient. - The entire stay exceeded my expectations. The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. We loved wearing the yukata provided by the ryokan. The dining experience was outstanding — exceptional service, delicious dishes, and the luxury of a private dining room. I also found the location ideal: peaceful, charming, and close to all the onsens. I honestly don’t get the complaints about distance, everything important is conveniently nearby in this small town. Unless you’re going to the station a lot, the location couldn’t be better. The only drawback for me was the price (it’s a bit too high), and the fact that the men’s and women’s baths are switched only in the morning. As a result, the beautiful open-air bath shown in the photos is available for women only from 6 to 10 a.m., which means waking up very early and possibly skipping breakfast — not ideal. For the rest of the day, from 3 p.m. to midnight, women can only use the smaller indoor bath. It would be much fairer if the baths alternated throughout the day, as many other onsens in town do.

Cynthia (10/5): - Loved kinosaki and loved the hotel home from home The hotel was a bit far from everything and the restaurant close very soon ,and as we didn't have dinner reseverd and breakfast it was very difficult to find a restaurant after 5pm ,thanks to the lady at the main desk that offered to look for a restaurant and take as there but then we had to get a shuttle bus to get back to the hotel and we had to wait and look for a bus stop for more than 30min and it was very dark

麗美 (10/5): - 飯店的接駁車讓原本稍遠的地點變得完美，可以自由選擇要搭車或是漫步，若不是住在深山恐怕不會逛到這麼上面來住宿和飲食體驗都很滿意，尤其各種小細節都讓人賞心悅目，像是飯店出借的雨傘非常有日式風情、房間鑰匙的掛飾也很有質感，可惜沒看到有販售飯店本身的溫泉會分男女兩邊，早晚會交換，景色不一樣很推薦晚上早上都去體驗看看浴衣有不同尺寸但都是同一種花色

Lorraine (8/5): Pleasant stay at quiet onsen. - Spacious and clean rooms. Located out of the mainstream, therefore, very quiet location. Very polite, professional staff. With no fault of the property, a "study" for pedestrian only roads, was being done during our stay. A shuttle was available upon departure to the train station only. We were not notified of this prior to our arrival, therefore, due to not choosing the meal plan when we booked, we had to walk into town for all meals, as well as any other activity in town. We would have liked the option of picking another hotel, changing the date, or adding the meal plan. Upon checking in and hearing this, they stated it was too late to take the meal plan. Communication could have been better.
Hoang (9/5): First time in an onsen town and we would definitely do it again. - The staff was super friendly and helpful - always made sure we knew they were there for us. The public baths were amazing, beautifully decorated, and super clean. Love the yukatas that were provided, too. Breakfast and dinner in our dining rooms were beautifully arranged. The location is a bit far from the rest of the village. The trash bins in the room were a bit small.
MARIE (7/5): Fait le job, mais vraiment pas plus - Le onsen est bien. Le dîner de crabe est incroyable. Le personnel est prévenant mais ne parle pas ou très peu l anglais. Le piano (excellent) accessible aux clients. La chambre était bien. La déco des parties communes et de la salle de restaurant est tout droit sortie de la periode soviétique. Glacial. La vue de la chambre au 4ème etage était sinistre et bouchée par un bâtiment éloigné de 1m pas plus. L'emplacement est moyen. Éloigné des autres onsen publics (mais proche du téléphérique).

Daida (10/5): Un lujazo y experiencia japonesa que merece la pena hacer - TODO. El pueblo es pequeño por lo que la ubicación es perfecta para ir caminando, aunque ofrecen un bus incluido para llevarte a los ryokan o a la estación de trenes. El hotel es precioso, las habitaciones grandes (éramos 3) con baño dentro, te prestan la ropa en distintas tallas para poder vestirte y moverte por el hotel y el pueblo. Los 4 onsen que tienen son maravillosos, tienen 2 exteriores y 2 interiores. Fue la experiencia más guay del viaje. La cena y el desayuno es típico japonés. La cena nos encantó, y el desayuno se hace difícil por la falta de costumbre, pero es cierto que la calidad es muy buena. Debes tener en cuenta que dormir en un futón "no es cómodo" ... pero aún así es muy especial. Hay que hacerlo aunque sea 1 noche.
Samuel (4/5): Hidden fees in a beautiful setting - Beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting - great onsen in the hotel I booked the room through booking.com. The hotel then contacted me saying "sorry there was a booking error, can you pay X amount once you arrive" Which I said was fine assuming it was for the whole stay. But then upon leaving and paying the addition fees, they charged us the X amount per a person per a night, which was in no way explained to me before. So it made the whole trip 4 x the amount we paid through booking.com. So be careful, it felt a bit of a scam and they did not offer to meet in the middle on this or anything.

The onsen was great and the mini bus driving you to town center during the day was very convenient (city center is also not that far it was just nice to have an option to also get a ride). Nancy (10/5): Exceptional property and staff! - My expectations were exceeded! This Ryokan is absolutely beautiful and the onson is so wonderful. The food was superb as was the service. From check-in to the meal service, the staff were so friendly, welcoming and very well coordinated. The room was stunning - I stayed in a one bedroom suite and it was 5 star ( the suite is comparable to the 5 star hotels - no detail overlooked). I can’t wait to return!

彩音 (2/5): 大切な日に来ては行けない。ほんとに最悪でした。 - 外国の方が多いが、接客は丁寧。すれ違う時、必ず挨拶をして下さっていた。姑の還暦祝いで伺いました。何度もケーキの確認を行いましたが、発注を忘れ食事が終わってからその件を告げられました。その件についてクレームを入れたところ、代金の割引を提案されました。割引狙いでクレームしてると思われたのかな。と余計に腹が立ちました。そもそもケーキを発注してくださるとのことで予約を決めたので、何の為にきたのやら、、、後ろで別の方は誕生日を祝われていたのが、更に腹が立つ。還暦祝いは人生に一回。ましてや、自分の親ではなく、姑の誕生日だったのに、、、。あと、娘の体調が悪くなり救急搬送されましたが、食事の融通が聞かず食べれなかった。←この件に関してはこちらも悪いですが、、、
Cristian (10/5): - La atención por parte de todo el personal del hotel fue increible. Tiene un servicio de bus que te va llevando a todos los onsen cada 30 min. Los dos onsen del propio hotel son super bonitos y la temperatura del agua se soporta mucho mejor que la de algún otro. El estilo de as habitaciones es puramente tradicional y prestan atención a cada detalle. Sencillamente no pudimos elegir mejor tanto por la comida, la atención y los onsen.

Egle (10/5): - We had the best time at Shinzan Kinosaki! The staff was friendly and helpful. They upgraded our room during our check-in and we were absolutely blown away by the place and treatment. Extremely clean, beautiful and luxurious feeling. Both the dinner and breakfast were amazing experiences, it was fun to walk around in the yukata provided by the hotel and the onsen experience itself was very nice. Absolutely nothing negative to highlight, We will definitely return during our next visit to Japan!

Julia (10/5): Best personalized attention from a hotel - The property was clean and the staff very attentive. We stayed in a western style room and the beds were high enough to be very comfortable. I had some, if not the best food of my 21 day trip. Be aware, it is not buffet style. The food is custom made for you. My first impression was that it was a little far away from town, but that turned out to be the best part. The 15 minute walk is perfect for when you wanna take a walk, and the hotel provides a shuttle if you don’t wanna walk.

The fact that kids can go to onsen pools. They should have restriction for time of entry and/or not allow them. Kids were jumping into onsen and very loud. Ruined experience.
