- Adventurer (8/5): Quaint, retro-style boutique house, not really a hostel, with a lovely owner. - Very quaint boutique-style house which is more of a hotel than a hostel. It has dorm rooms and privates. Beautifully maintained and decorated in retro style by the lovely owner. Solid wi-fi. Very quiet as there was hardly anyone there except me. Well-maintained kitchen. The entry into the property could have been better. The owner doesn't actually live at the property, but around the corner, so what is supposed to happen I think is that you should ring her (and speak in Spanish) at arrival and and she will come and open the door. I didn't know this - so I kept banging at the door for about 10 minutes getting more and more concerned and I think another guest inside rang the owner and told her that I was waiting outside.

- Maidon (10/5): - Séjour au top pour notre arrivée en Colombie. Je recommande les yeux fermés. Ancestral Hostel est une auberge très chaleureuse, pleine de couleurs. L'auberge est très bien équipée. Maury est très accueillant et arrangeant, notre vol arrivait à 4h du matin a Bogota et Maury avait déjà préparé notre chambre , nous avons pu nous installer dès notre arrivée a l'auberge. Nous avons adoré la tranquillité de l'auberge. La location est bien car dans un quartier plutôt calme et assez près du quartier de Candelaria en Uber. Il y a une super boulangerie en face de l'hostel. Si nous repassons par Bogota nous y retournerons. Nous nous sommes senties comme à la maison

Monica, the host, was looking out for me days before. She's EXCEPTIONALLY polite and, helpful The location is centric and easily accessible, but after dark, it's a bit lonely to walk around by oneself

Also the price was good The staff also did ask for extra things that i thought were free at first and wanted to charge for an extra towel even though i was there for 4 days…also some if the roof and things were in poor shape. Without a fan it can also become very warm in the afternoon
- Bastian (10/5): A journey back in time - This place is like a journey within the journey, a journey back in time. In the room there was a TV which wasn’t working but better than any working one as it was a model probably from the seventies. It was like being in a past era. Also, the room was so nicely decorated and remarkably not cold, as rooms in Bogotá are usually cold, although there was no active heating. The style of the property fits to the Andes mountain style. It was a place like home, specifically like I would decorate a home, absolutely brilliant The shower head was quite creative with the distribution of water, it should be changed, and the price for the room was a little bit high but still ok

- Nabilouz (10/5): Exceptional - First of all . A big thanks to Monica, who made everything possible. Made me feel like home and not a guest . The location is just in the center . Supermarket just next to the hostel, restaurants, and a bakery. Location, hospitality, service, helpful. I'll definitely come back for sure. I recommend it.

- Grace (9/5): Friendly, clean and cute hostel, would recommend! - Super super friendly staff! Rooms are clean, and the hostel looks very cute and new. Loved the atmosphere. There’s a very good restaurant and a bakery across the street. Discovered only later they have a bar next to the hostel. The hot water wasn’t working, but the staff did their best to fix this. I sometimes missed some staff to ask for tips, get some support, but if you text them they will immediately respond and come to support you!

The location is great… close to cafes, restaurants, even public transportation. The room is super cute and cozy. The bed is comfortable… great size room with bathroom. Cute common area and very arty.
