- Sara (5/5): - - location: located on the beach, amazing views from the terrace. - comfortable bed and very nice that every guest gets two pillows! - breakfast was included - staff were friendly ann welcoming - BEDBUGS in our dormroom.. Im quite worried that the stuff doesn't know how to get rid of them properly because it seemed like they just tried to spray some inspect repellent to the room to manage the situation. - there were not many options on the breakfast menu (and the portions are quite small) and only drink options were coffee/tea/hot chocolate --> I was hoping to get some juice etc. - toilets were a bit dirty and I wasn't sure how often they clean the toilets/dormrooms. One customer left like 2-3 days ago and her bed was still not cleaned??
- Oliver (10/5): - The best dormitory because far I've ever been. The beds are big and super comfy, everybody has their privacy with nothing to wish for. A super large storage with your own lock is all included. Air con air refresher and all electronic connections you might need. Perfect! I liked everything

- Abod (8/5): - The beds are pretty comfy, relatively clean, good lockers We didn't have water in the dorm, a few times the water ran out while I was taking a shower. I told the staff a few times about this issue but it was never fixed. We had to take showers using a hose near the street a few times like homeless people

- Benjamin (9/5): - Super ruhige Lage, sehr nettes junges Personal und wunderschöne Sonnen- und Mondaufgänge. Das einzige was man verbessern könnte, wäre die Qualität der Toiletten/Duschen, die ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen sind.
- Paula (10/5): Würde es sofort wieder buchen - Wow, ganz zu schweigen davon, dass Pulau Tioman eine wunderschöne & entspannte Insel ist, hat das Hostel nochmal einen drauf gesetzt, warum die Insel einer meiner Favoriten ist. Das Personal ist super lieb & bezieht einen mit ein. Machen Lagerfeuer, spielen Volleyball und sind alle total offen. Die Lage ist einfach perfekt. Mega Strandnlick, lecker Frühstück und viele kleine Wanderungen in der Nähe Klopapier auf den Toiletten wäre super

- Guillermo (8/5): Cocinero maleducado y despota. - Alojamiento pegado a la arena de la playa. La mujer y demas chicas de recepciòn y camareras muy amables.La ubicaciòn a tan solo 15 minutos andando del puerto de Juara. Buen ambiente y cama super comoda. Cocinero muy poco profesional y maleducado. NO sabe atender al público. Mejor NO verle la cara fuera de la cocina. Wifi solo funciona en la zona del restaurante. Tienes que pedir todos los dias que repongan el papel higiénico.
- Thomas (9/5): Würde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen. :) - Die Unterkunft liegt direkt am Strand und mit einer großen Terrasse ausgestattet, wo morgens gemütlich sein Frühstück essen kann. Das Frühstück ist wirklich sehr gut. Ich habe im Dorm geschlafen und es war sehr geräumig und hatte ein großes Schließfass für Backpack und persönliche Sachen. Das Bett war bequem und durch den Vorhang hatte man auch seine Privatsphäre. In der Nähe gibt es viele leckere Restaurants und kleine Läden für den täglichen Gebrauch. Die Mitarbeiter waren freundlich und hilfsbereit. Nassbereich hätte etwas sauberer sein können.
- Erykah (1/5): Not worth it. Bed bug party. - Beautiful location great for surfing BUT If you like a good bed bug party. This is the place for you. I have never had many bites from a mosquito, you can tell they're bed bugs from the bites in the straight line, in total after leaving on 3rd day of my stay I had 70 bites going from my feet to my bum. I was advised to move to another bed for the next nights I were staying. I couldn't do it anymore the burning and itching was unbearable. I left the next morning and a very unhappy customer. Not only that but when I arrived I thought someone else was staying in the room as a messy bed was next to the one I stayed in. No one stayed there at all. Staff did not clean the bed after the person left. Do they even wash the sheets? Those thoughts ran through my head after the 2nd night and no one staying except me. Due to the location and not at fault of the hostel at all, I couldn't get a taxi until the next day, that's why I stayed one more night. The bathroom and toilets could do with an update. One didn't flush and it is difficult to control the temperature of the shower. Yellow stains on every towel, even the toilet paper has what looked like rust from the rusty loo roll holder. no internet in the dormitory room.

- Daria (8/5): Very pleasant, affordable stay. Juara Beach is gorgeous. - The bed in the dorm was comfortable. The price was very reasonable and included breakfast. The hostel is located on the beach where I enjoyed a beautiful sunrise. Great snorkeling in front of the hostel. I couldn’t turn the main light on in the dorm at 8:50 am because someone was sleeping. I had to use my cellphone light to pack. All beds have curtains so the light shouldn’t be an issue.

- Escudier (10/5): - Had a wonderful time at Pondok. Some of the nicest people work there and in a week’s time they feel more like friends you run into during your day than personnel. There is a unique vibe in Juara where everybody knows everybody, and the same guy that served you coffee at the hostel in the morning you’ll meet several other times during the day, either working somewhere else or sharing a beer with you at Shaka. Very social place, amazing location right in the beach and a truly beautiful time for anybody that’s looking for friendly encounters and a relaxing time off.

- Guest (6/5): The place is good but better to arrange taxi to the ferry yourself - Great location on a quiet beautiful beach There places to hangout I wouldn’t trust the staff with taxi arrangements as they completely ignore your request and schedule taxi departure time as they are pleased adding an extra stress to your travel. Also beds in the room are shaking if someone is walking even outside or in a neighboring room as the floor is made out of planks. Other than that the place is quite good

There are hammock and plenty of free space. Not a lot of people as well. There are cafes nearby. I feel safe as well The toilet a bit smelly but its clean. it’s bearable.

- Miya (10/5): Un endroit paradisiaque grâce au personnel formidable - Les dortoirs sont super confortables avec des très grands casiers à disposition. Notre séjour a réellement été incroyable grâce au personnel bienveillant et dans l’échange pour nous conseiller au mieux, ils nous ont permis d’en faire un séjour parfait. Restaurant, activités, … sont possibles directement avec l’auberge et facilitent le quotidien On n’a pas vraiment envie d’écrire des choses négatives mais la salle de bain aurait pu parfois être plus propre. Cependant nous sommes conscientes que c’est de la faute des voyageurs présents en même temps que nous.

Zona molto tranquilla dell'isola e possibilità di socializzare facilmente. Camera grande e possibilità di mettere lo zaino in un box capiente, aria condizionata. 45 minuti da una delle due cascate. Personale molto disponibile. Colazione inclusa. La pulizia potrebbe essere migliore nel senso che con due dormitori quasi pieni i bagni sarebbe meglio puliti almeno 2 volte al giorno e non solo la mattina, mentre ci dovrebbe essere una maggiore pulizia anche nel singolo letto (testata del letto e lateralmente).

C'était propre et confortable. Les dortoirs possèdent des casiers. Le restaurant est très bien aussi. Rien. C'était très bien.

- Tara (7/5): - Location was great, right beside a good dive centre and a lovely coffee shack on the beach. Nice rustic vibe. AC in the dorm was good and decent breakfast options included. Good sized storage lockers. The dorm rooms are quite dark with no natural light and poor lighting system. When the weather is not great there's no where comfortable to hangout, the loft area is quite exposed. Bathrooms could do with an inspection/clean a bit more regularly.
- Dennis (9/5): Laid-Back Beachfront Stay in Juara - Right on the beach with a bohemian, down-to-earth vibe, this place in Juara is a gem. The staff are friendly, making you feel right at home. The dorms are well-designed — comfy bed, privacy curtains, good aircon, plugs by the bed, and separate spacious storage for your bag. Breakfast is included, and the in-house restaurant is decent and convenient. Perfect spot if you want a relaxed, beachfront stay with good vibes and great value.

- Anna (8/5): Good value with great remote location. - Perfect location on Juara beach. Right above really good dive centre. Directly on the beach which is so peaceful. Super comfortable beds with curtain. Well maintained despite open style next to beach with frequent monsoons in evenings. Not a cat lover, restaurant has many cats, although so common on the island, thankfully no cats up around hostel dorms itself. Similar to most remote islands, food is just ok with varying service times.

Next to the beach, breakfast is good and the staff really nice 🙂 Bathrooms are never clean, there is a broom we can use to at least clean the floor but the bathrooms are really gross 😔 not the best place for snorkeling, many jellyfish, snorkeling is better on the other side of the island.

- Sabrina (7/5): Could be a nice place, but they should change some things - The staff was very friendly, while also being clumsy, I think every morning for breakfast they either misunderstood something or forgot something haha Location is nice as directly on the beach Beds were worn out and therefore not the most comfortable Bathroom were not cleaned every day, often dirty and without paper 20 Meter from the room is the next hotel and then do loud karaoke every night - "people tell us to be quiet every day, but this is our programme" nobody cares, even not when you're sick and ask politely to reduce the volume Their own Pickup service from the harbour is quite pricey and they didn't tell us that they have direct boat access from their beach without taking the shuttle Overall too high a price for what it is, which sadly seems to be the case for every accommodation on the island

The mattress are a bit old but I still slept like a baby !

With the right people a social hostel. You need to pay for the refill water (just 1/2 ringitts but still), bathroom and common area weren't tej cleanest.

- Ana (8/5): Calm, safe and comfortable - The place its amazing! The vibe its very nice, the people are very friendly and the beach its stunning! The lockers are very big, could easily fit my 40L bag, the bed was comfy and the neighbourhood its very very chill. There's space to put your clothes to dry, a diving agency right under the hostel and market and restaurant nearby. Take some time to snorkel on the beach in front of the hostel, it’s great! I highly recommend it! The bathroom has a good structure, with hot water and toilet paper, but was cleaned just a few times during my stay. Because of this, it was often a little stinky.
