- Jacqui (3/5): Some places represent good value for money, but the lower rate is not worth the stay here. - Proximity to lakes region So disappointing to report the apartment was dirty, hot water not on, slow to respond to problems. Unclear who was actually responsible as the owner didn’t answer to my knock on the door. Hours later another man turned up. I pointed out the problems including being unclean, strong sewerage smell in the bathroom, kitchen rubbish bin still full from last guest, pots inside cupboard coated in flour and dried up food remnants, no sheet/ blanket on bed (slept under a towel). He apologised with a shrug saying it was out of his hands and he would talk to the owner. I left after one night (had booked for 2) and notified I would be leaving. No mention was made I had to pay by cash so the whole experience has become an ongoing issue. Avoid! Especially if you are also an animal lover..seeing a goat tethered to a tree right at the gateway where it was obvious it hadn’t been moved for quite some time, no water source was visible and it was constantly straining on the neck collar desperate to reach something to eat..quite disturbing.
