Guest Reviews
- Alan (10/5): Beautiful setting with great staff and very comfortable - Location, view, staff Nothing unless you can’t live without WiFi in in your room. Nature doesn’t require WiFi thankfully!
- Paola (5/5): We only chose this place because of the WiFi, so not having it in the room was a bummer. The lack of water even if it’s - Breakfast was really good. The view in amazing and the WiFi was fast (even if it only worked in the common area, not the room) The first night we didn’t have running water at all. We arrived at the hotel much later than check-in time so everything should’ve been in order. We were initially told it would’ve taken a few minutes because they had to pump, then one hour and then that they didn’t know. They provided us with some big cans of water but obviously that’s not ideal when paying this amount of money when there are much cheaper places around.
- Julia (10/5): I can only recommend to go and stay there, everything was perfect - The staff was incredibly nice and helpful, the place looks amazing and the food was really good
- Dr. Jürgen (9/5): Gute Lage, toller Service - Tolle Lage am Nil, guter Service und besonders Mdm. Preem war wie eine Mutter zu uns. Sie hat sehr auf uns geachtet. Danke
- GabrieleEttore (8/5): -
- Dominik (9/5): - Delicious food, beautifull garden
- Thomas (10/5): - Welcoming hosts, very flexible, we slept in the tent which was a nice experience. Location is beautiful as well.
- carmelina (10/5): Ottimo alloggio! Super consigliato - Bellissima struttura tenuta in modo impeccabile. Siamo stati in gruppo per 3 notti, tutto perfetto. Cibo buonissimo, vario con frutta.
- Avijit (7/5): Staff behaviour is excellent. Just to take care of the drawbacks mentioned above. - Cleanliness. In the room there were many spider nets and also other insects. The room should be cleaned properly before the guests arrive. The food ordered at room was brought uncovered.
- Jean-francois (10/5): Amazing experience in a place with really nice humain being and breath taking view - Everything was really amazing The view, customer experience, foods and quality of room
5:15 uur opstaan
17:30 uur terug in hotel
- Guest (4/5): I dont recommend - Only landscape We choose suit room from booking but we stayed in a tent. Place is so far away from the National Park.
At the night so much noisy because of insects.
We said that we are gonna cancel our reservation but they didnt accept it.
Dinner time we wanted to eat fish, they served 2 hours later, and anybody said serves time.We waited so much for only dinner. It costs 20 dolar.
Everywhere is so far away you must eat here.
We paid 4 stars hotel price for stayed in a tent.
I dont recommend anybody this place.
- Olja (2/5): Very poor - The guy managing the place was lovely and a real asset to the company, The facilities are really poor and food was not edible 😕. I thought i was booking a new place, but it was all quite weathered. Toilet was outside and not covered, so you are going in the rain. The shower barely had water dripping, and the bed was on crates. The food was really quite awful. It was insanely expensive for what it was.
- Anonymous (10/5): Truly amazing experience staying at the Murchison Palace - The staff at Murchison Palace were wonderful and the views were amazing staying in the permanent tent. The only thing that I can think of is the long single track into the lodge but I also seen a big bull elephant on the side of the track so it’s not really a negative seeing wildlife outside the National Park.
- Marcel (9/5): Excellent place - Great location with beautiful view; very friendly staff who’s is very flexible with mealtimes
- Joseph (8/5): Very good -
- Rosana (7/5): Good -
- Peter (6/5): Pleasant - Very friendly staff who are available at any time.
Rooms in the house are only cleaned with a brush not with water, no hot water for showering, no fridge in the room, dirty mirror in bathroom, hair in the shower, Broken windows so insects entered easily at night, no shower gel only a tiny piece of soap to be used by 2 people.
With a little investment and attention this place could become a winner in the area
- Sabrina (10/5): Rooms with amazing Nile view, comfortable and lovely staff! - It was lovely to stay at Murchison Palace. The view is stunning! And the room had a great vibe, open windowdoors to the Nile view, a great bathroom a comfortable beds. There is a lovely personal touch to your stay by the staff, and they make you great food and we got a delicious welcome cocktail upon arriving! Thank you so much! We really loved our stay with you!! Until next time!
- Lennert (8/5): Very good - The staff is Very kind! Outside shower with the tent.
- Daniel (8/5): Friendly staff and well priced accommodation in Murchison - It is a beautiful plot with a great view of the river, with some nice rooms and tents that were reasonably priced. By far the best part was the staff - all staff and in particular Robert were extremely friendly and always available to help! I think the food, in particular the dinner, could be a bit better, or better value for money. I think $20pp was a lot for what we received. Only other thing I would add is mosquito nets would be a good addition, as Murchison has a lot of mosquitoes!
- Eliyahu (10/5): Exceptional - Great room. Great meals. Best attention ans service!
- Hildebrando (10/5): A stunning view of the Nile. Super comfortable safari tents with a private amazing outdoor bathroom. The staff were supe - The location is stunning. The staff were amazing and the food they prepared was great. The price when booking was a bit different than when we had to pay over there.
- Paul (10/5): Great experience with awesome staff and stunning view - I liked especially the location right next to the river in nature and the staff was awesome! They were so friendly. We couldn’t ask for anything else! WiFi was not reaching to the room itself
- Gregory (10/5): Super spot - All as good as or better than advertised
- Gregory (10/5): Very relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable - Super well designed, serviced and maintained
- Vivian (8/5): Solo retreat at the Muchisons Palace - I recently had the opportunity to stay at Muchisons Palace in Pakwach, Uganda, and it was an unforgettable experience that I highly recommend to anyone looking for comfort and elegance in the heart of nature.
From the moment i arrived, the welcoming atmosphere and stunning architecture captivated me. The palace itself is beautifully designed, seamlessly blending locally available materials. with the natural beauty of the surroundings. The gardens and scenic views of the Nile River provided a tranquil ambience that made me feel like i was in a true paradise.
**Accommodations:**
My room was spacious and tastefully decorated, with modern amenities that ensured all my needs were met. Waking up to the sounds of nature each morning was a delightful bonus!
**Service:**
The staff were professional, friendly, and attentive, truly elevating my experience. They were eager to assist with any requests and made me feel right at home.
**Activities:**
Muchisons Palace serves as a perfect base for exploring the nearby attractions, including Murchison Falls National Park. I joined a guided safari, which was immensely rewarding as we encountered various wildlife, including elephants, lions, and a multitude of bird species. The evening boat cruise on the Nile was another unforgettable experience, offering breathtaking views and stunning sunsets.
**Value for Money:**
While it is a luxury destination, the overall experience justified the price. The combination of exceptional service, fantastic dining, and access to incredible activities made my stay well worth it.
**Conclusion:**
In summary, my stay at Muchisons Palace in Pakwach, Uganda, was nothing short of spectacular. Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway, a family vacation, or a solo retreat, this palace has something for everyone. I wholeheartedly recommend Muchisons Palace to anyone seeking a blend of luxury, adventure, and breathtaking natural beauty! The long drive to Pakwach from Kampala, was tasking but all worth it. I recommend that you get a reliable car to move around during your stay.
- Wouter (10/5): To Anne and the crew, thank you so much 😊 - Really beautiful remote safari lodge with incredible views, great rooms and lovely, helpful staff. We booked very last minute and the staff were super accommodating and attentive. We stayed in one of the tents down by the river Nile where you can hear and see the hippos at night! The tents feel completely remote and private and the sunsets over the river are stunning (i actually proposed to my girlfriend during one of these!!).
There is a lovely, knowledgeable guide who can take you on game drives and other local safari adventures in Murchison national park and show you around the area. Can’t recommend this place highly enough, definitely worth a visit!
- Samson (9/5): Excellent - Serenity and lovely sunsets Mosquitoes
- Karl-johan (10/5): Excellent and offers good value for money. - Location is really great as there are plenty of birds and even some occasional wildlife to keep you occupied even when out of the national park. The sunset over the river is exceptionally beautiful.
- Tc (10/5): Amazing - The property was very cozy and even the staff were very welcoming and generous, they took care of our pet dog very well too.10/10 experience definately will visit again.
- Henry (10/5): The place looks great on the banks of the river and the evening view is incredible -
