Guest Reviews
- Cat (10/5): We've been going to the Hay Festival for 20-years and this was definitely the most interesting stay. - The couple who run Locksters Lodge are LOVELY and could not have been more helpful. The location is right by the river and they let me borrow a paddle board, which was such fun. There is parking right by the lodge. The access to Hay-on-Wye is easy by car, which is good as we were there for the Hay Festival. There is an outside loo and the shower is shared, plus it is a walk away, however, it makes the stay more interesting. The ceiling of the lodge is transparent so the light woke us at 5am, plus there are local ducks who love dancing on the roof.
- Lesley (10/5): A little gem.
Wonderful location. Fantastic hosts. - What a gem of a place to stay. Right on the river with lovely outlooks. The owners even left binoculars out so I could watch the swans, egrets, herons, and wildlife. The wagon was comfortable and warm and had everything I needed and more for my 2 night stay. A superb breakfast was included with homemade jams and delivered to me. The use of the shower was shared with the campsite. It was hot and scrupulously clean. The owners were welcoming and friendly. They really couldn't do enough for me. I will definitely return if I am ever in the area again. There was much to explore locally in the neighbouring towns of Hay and Hereford. All in all, a perfect stay. There really was nothing not to like.
- Tim (10/5): Lovely place, great situation on the river. Excellent hosts. - Stayed in the converted rail wagon. Spotless, comfortable and very well stocked. Tea/coffee, fresh milkā¦biscuits, chocolates and a couple of beersš Nothingā¦be warned itās a bit of a bumpy lane down to the site.
- Evans (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely surroundings, super clean facilities, very friendly staff and one of if not the best breakfast we have had on a holiday.. This is glamping at it's finest Nothing really
