• Kristina (7/5): В целом неплохо, но есть недоработки. - Хорошие апартаменты, большая площадь, 2 спальни и 2 санузла. Апартаменты на 3 этаже, подняться можно только по узкой винтовой лестнице. У нас было 4 больших и тяжелых чемодана, которые мы с трудом смогли поднять самостоятельно. Считаю, что о таком нужно предупреждать заранее, тем более если никто не встречает гостей и не помогает с заносом багажа. В санузле где стоит ванна - сама ванна никак не закреплена. Подруга во время душа облокотилась на край и полетела вместе с этой ванной на пол, сильно ушибла руку.

• Ruth (8/5): Great location and very roomy apartment - Nice roomy apartment with a big kitchen. It would be a great place to stay in long-term Floors were not clean. It was somewhat hard to find, and there was no elevator so we had to carry all our luggage to the third floor.

• Paul (8/5): Good - Close to convenience shop, 5 min walk to West Lake. Lotte West Lake Mall is less than 10 min walk. Gated apartment. There is no car allowed as it is a narrow alley way. 2-3 min walk from the Main Street to the apartment. However once you get used to it, it is ok.
• Sergey (1/5): Ужасные апартаменты - Ничего Апартаменты категорически не понравились! Во-первых, внутри ужасно пахнет канализацией. Во-вторых, очень высокая влажность в помещении, как в подвале. Черная плесень в спальне прям у изголовья кровати! В-третьих, стены буквально картонные. Слышно все, что происходит на улице, каждый шорох. А нам еще и повезло — напротив нас была стройка, начинали долбить в 7 утра. В-четвертых, за 10 дней съема этого жилья никто ни разу не помыл пол. Постельное белье изначально было с пятнами. Полотенце выдавалось одно на человека — ноги и лицо, по мнению владельцев, нужно вытирать одним. Окна настолько грязные, что не видно улицы!! Просто буквально стекла в ошметках грязи! В-пятых, несмотря на наличие бытовой техники (плиты, стиралки) не было абсолютно никаких принадлежностей для использования: ни кухонных полотенец, ни порошка для стирки, ни даже чая в пакетиках или соли! В-шестых, нам не скинули должные инструкции. Искали апарты с горем по полам, администратор прислал не ту точку. Нас не оповестили о том, что включатели в квартире сенсорные, а это вообще неочевидно! В-седьмых, в квартире тараканы. В общем, жилье отвратительное даже для тех туристов, которые максимально активные и приходят в апарты только поспать.

• Maria (1/5): Unbearable construction noise – not suitable, especially for families - We arrived at the apartment and immediately heard extremely loud construction noise. It quickly became clear that the building next door was under full construction. We took photos and videos and contacted the renter right away. He responded that they were “only changing some appliances” and that we wouldn’t be disturbed. This was completely inaccurate. It felt like we were standing in the middle of the construction site itself. The noise was unbearable, and staying there with two children was simply impossible. We quickly booked alternative accommodation and asked the manager to cancel our stay. Thankfully, we only ended up paying for a few hours, which was fair and appreciated. That said, I would strongly recommend that no one books Urchin Apartment while the neighboring building is under construction. The situation makes the apartment unlivable.

• Ashlynne (10/5): - Easy to find. It is off the main road and onto alley way. You can access short cuts from multiple side streets. Place is immaculate clean tidy has everything you need. Close to cafes, minimart some restaurants. Things to note….when you book you need to contact them. Don’t wait for instructions to be sent to you. Contact through whats app. Because there is a gate and to get in then there is a code and to enter your room is different code and to get out of the gate is another code. You get the hang of it while you’re there but can be overwhelming when trying to understand where everything is.

• Jamie (6/5): Lots of problems that were eventually solved but would not book with them again - We arrived in Hanoi to find that the address provided by booking.com was not the most accurate to find the place. Dropped off on the side of a road by a driver who could not find it, we reached out to the booking manager to ask him to call us. Upon speaking to him (Vietnamese only; I’d have been up the creek without my Vietnamese husband to speak for us), he said that we were close to the location, however there had been a problem and he needed to move us to a new property within their hotel group. At this point, we have been on the side of the road for an hour with 2 kids and luggage. We accepted the offer and asked him to send us a car. He arranged a car, however, the driver did not know the address of the second location well, dropped us off at a local cafe, and left us to figure it out. After asking some locals, we finally located it 30 mins later around the corner. The room we were offered there was a beautiful option, but the entire place reeked of chemicals from construction work. There was also little power due to the construction, and the place was all torn up out front. Getting frustrated, finally the booking manager showed up to speak to us in person. We told him we didn’t want our children breathing in the smell, and asked what our next option was. He finally (over 2 hours since the start of this) brought us to a beautiful third option nearby which was even nicer than what we booked. He honored the original rate. Eventually our problem was solved but only after a lot of frustration, waiting, dragging luggage all over West Lake, and losing hours of our time. Also, I really don’t think the problem would’ve been resolved without one of us speaking Vietnamese (which is fair, we were in Vietnam overall). My advice would be to contact this place after booking and confirm the address and the booking manager’s phone number in case of any hiccups. Be ready to communicate only in Vietnamese.
• Naomi Leach (10/5): This place is a hidden gem. - Highly recommend this place. The balcony and windows really made the apartment feel bigger and more peaceful. Lovely wood decor, and surrounded by cafés, restaurants, and the beautiful West Lake.

Mặc dù đã đặt trước từ chiều và báo trước 10h sẽ check in, nhưng đến khi qua phòng thì không gọi được chủ nhà, gọi nhỡ 7-8 cuộc thì bắt đầu tắt máy. Sau đó thì cũng chả ai gọi lại cho mình để xin lỗi. Tôi đã phải chủ động huỷ phòng. Dịch vụ rất tệ!
• Connor (9/5): Superb - Excellent stay for eco-minded travelers. The wood-finished room was stylish yet simple. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, and the free daily water was such a kind touch. The location is peaceful with good places to eat nearby.

Urchin contacts me after I try many hours trying to get a hold of them through the app. They give me check in directions. Property is located 150 meters in the alley. Car can not fit. Need to walk. Only provides 1 towel. Mold on ceiling.
• Elena (4/5): I don’t recommend this place at all, you should avoid it - The only positive things were the A/C with a heating mode (but only in the bedroom), good hot water, and a washing machine with a drying function 1. The apartment was full of small insects (see photo). 2. It was also cold and very humid inside, making it quite uncomfortable. There was something that looked like black mold on the wall in the bedroom. 3. The bathroom had a terrible smell, especially if the door was left closed for a few hours. 4. Despite being far from the main road, the noise level was unbelievable. The walls felt as thin as cardboard, and I could hear everything - raindrops hitting the ground, people talking nearby, and every passing motorbike. 5. The windows faced a wall, so it felt like there were no windows at all. 6. There were also technical issues. Twice a day, including at night, a water pump would start running, and I could hear water noises coming from under the floor. It was so loud that it woke me up. 7. Ordering food was also a problem because Grab couriers couldn’t find the location. Getting a taxi was just as difficult since the road was too narrow for cars.

All of the staff are very friendly and helpful, especially the receptionists Kim & Vu who are super nice. I stayed here 2 nights and wanted to stay longer...but I certainly will be back again. You won't regret staying here.

The apartment is spacious and SPARKLING CLEAN; windows are protected with metal lattice, fantastic kitchen with all necessary amenities, big tv I have asked if I could clean myself so that nobody will enter my apartment while I am not in it - this privacy request was addressed PERFECTLY.
