Guest Reviews
- Corinne (8/5): - Accueil très agréable
- Sandra (8/5): - Very nice host. Both very helpful and available all the time. Helped me with working out the washing machine and even finding a local doctor. Nice traditional breakfast. Very good place to see the real Korea. Good location, close to metro. The place is clean and well looked after. We had a separate bathroom but very close to our room. It is traditional Korean hanok so the room is very minimalistic. Our room had no wardrobe and sleeping on the floor mattress, probably more suitable for younger people.
- Emily (10/5): - This is a beautiful traditional guesthouse right within Seoul. Loved the wood and how intimate the setting was. Would stay again in the opportunity arrises!
- Narelle (7/5): Lovely hosts and great location - The bed was comfortable. The hosts were lovely and the breakfast was delicious. Rooms were very small.
- Viviane (8/5): -
- Krzysztofiak (10/5): -
- Thuy Hang (10/5): Unforgettable - Cosy room, quiet neighborhood, convenient to walk to train/bus station. Free breakfast every morning at 9 am with the host and other guests. Highly recommended!!!
- Nicolas (9/5): Great escape in Seoul! - The location is amazing, in a traditional small Korean house, and the owner was really adorable !
Breakfast was very good, and freshly prepared by our host every morning
- Paolo (8/5): Small traditional house in a nice neighbourhood - Traditional guesthouse, simple but very nice to have a feeling of this type of accommodation. Home made Korean breakfast shared with other guests (this was also nice). Very good location close to sightseeings and little restaurant
- Olea (9/5): -
- Gildas (9/5): - Joli petit hanok.
- Marian (10/5): Great experience of traditional Korean house -
- Karen (10/5): A beautiful, authentic hanok stay with a wonderfully welcoming host. - Wow! This place is beautiful. Staying in this traditional hanok was an incredible experience—peaceful, authentic, and full of charm. The owner was absolutely lovely and made me feel so welcome throughout my stay.
- Ria Nickell (8/5): - Breakfast and the homey feeling 😋 Bathroom separate from the room.
No large mirror
Need clean linen including pillowcases, only 2 bath towels available for 3 nights stay
- Alan (9/5): An ideal guesthouse for a couple of nights. - A fantastic location. The property itself is beautiful and perfect if you’re looking to stay in that type of building. A great experience. The futons are very hard and I would not have stayed more than two nights from a comfort perspective.
- Melody (10/5): Lovley traditional stay with a warm host family - Lovely rooms and beautiful location
- Dallas (6/5): Pleasant with lovely hosts but a touch disappointing in terms of room/bathroom. - The hosts were really lovely and helpful. Location quite good (easy walk to cafes around corner) and breakfast was traditional and very fresh. The people who run it are absolutely lovely but the two rooms inside both open onto a communal kitchen (rather than to outside) so felt a touch claustrophobic (for me). It didn’t feel like a particularly private room (particularly if someone used kitchen) and the bathroom was incredibly tiny with a shower hand held over the sink. The whole place was smaller than what I thought.
- Melanie (10/5): -
- Mai (7/5): - We did not have breakfast everything was good Not at all
- Janne (10/5): -
- Hugo Leonardo (10/5): Amazing 🤩 - Location, near to everything such as restaurants, supermarkets and a couple of temples.
Amazing Korean breakfast made from our host!
- g (10/5): -
Moc milí majitelé a ráno skvělá snídaně uvařená přímo před námi majitelkou.
- Louisa (8/5): -
- Albert (8/5): -
- Nicholas (10/5): Thank you to the wonderful hosts! -
- Katerina (9/5): nice and cozy - Nice breakfast, real Hanok experience. Calm and relax, beautiful courtyard :) Kind owners. Blanket was mostly like cover for me, but I am from Europe different standards. And Booking have bad location is not nearby Anguk station is 700m and accomodation is in the hills, so be prepared.
- Bhattacharjee (10/5): - We loved our time there. Hosts were great, friendly and very sweet. Would definitely recommend it to all the people travelling to south korea and want to experience the warmth of honok house and korean people.
- Ryan (10/5): Very wonderful place in historic seoul - Really liked the breakfast, our host was very accommodating. The location was excellent in visiting the area attractions and near transit. Area was quiet. Mattress, was hoping for a more traditional futon mattress over the memory foam.
- Evan (10/5): -
- Ley (10/5): -
- Ko (6/5): Cool experience (in both way) - It’s a very traditional Korean house that looks really like I’m in a drama. Also, the owner is very kind and helpful! It might not be a good idea to live in it in winter for lack of heater. However, I think any season other than that would be very comfortable to stay in such a cool house.

- Kiyoko (10/5): -
- Keum Jae (10/5): -
- Alina (10/5): - That was unique experience to live in real hanok house, have traditional breakfast and embtace the culture. Location is just awesome - both main palaces in walking distance and the best shopping street! Really explore the local sellers, you will not find the same anywhere else in Seoul! For me it was too warm as I am used to cold bedroom. The floor heating works perfectly. Bathroom is fairly small, but you expect that from traditional housing
- Jagoda (9/5): - Hosts are one of the nicest people I've met in Korea. Very helpful. Breakfast every morning was a really nice addition. It was also a great occasion to meet other people that stay in hanok. The only thing that was a little bit lacking was a bathroom. You have to note that it is a traditional house, so the bathroom is really small, sometimes smelly. It was perfectly clean though.
- Celsie (9/5): Cute, cozy authentic stay! - Excellent location to a cute area of Seoul. The old, authenticity of the guesthouse was beautiful. The owners were very kind and fed us a delicious breakfast. None
- Yelizaveta (9/5): -
- Rowena (8/5): It was conviently located to major attractions, restaurants and transportations. - It was centrally located to all places we wanted to visit. It was smaller than expected.
- Polina (10/5): - Authentic Hanok house .Great location 👍
Super nice and helpful family who runs this place
- RadoslawLab (9/5): In the middle of Bukchon Hanok -
- Ruta (9/5): -
- dcwill (9/5): Experience not to miss out on! - If you wish to experience a traditional Korean stay at a Hanok, I would highly recommend Inwoo House! We stayed here for 4 nights and truly enjoyed our stay.
We were placed to the smaller room with a separate private bathroom next to the room. The other rooms are en-suite.
The hosts are very welcoming and provided a home-cooked breakfast every morning, which is shared amongst all staying at their Hanok. A great way to also get to know some new people and get some great insights and travel ideas as well.
- David (8/5): - Lovely host, couldn't be more helpful. fantastic location in the old town, near the temples and walking distance to some super funky vibes eating areas. Floor was a bit hard. A tatami mat would have been useful.
- Siti (10/5): Please wake up early in the morning to tour the village. All nice spot are all yours if you wake up at 7 o'clock. Af - The house are very nice. We allowed to check in an hour early. The owner are very nice. She even help us booking taxi to hongdae. Just a block a way from bukchon hanok village tourist spot that have namsan view in between the road. As expected the road to reach the guesthouse are a bit hilly. Butttttt along the way you can enjoy the view and a lot of cute/hype cafe. Onion cafe also in the same road.
- Maria (8/5): Wish we can stay longer. - The location is perfect. The mosquito 🥺🥺🥺
- Hanna (10/5): - Cisza i spokój. Przemiły gospodarz i dobre śniadanie

- Jackalyn (8/5): - If you are staying in Seoul, staying in a Hanok is a must. It’s the perfect way to actually immerse yourself in historical Korean culture, and with this particular Hanok, the location is unbeatable. Every day I’d discover something new walking down the quaint street bustling with shops and sweet treats.
- Joan (9/5): -
- Anastasios (7/5): - It was a very cute hanok in a traditional quiet area. It was quite uncomfortable and very damp/humid
- Evans (9/5): Perfect location stay - Fantastic location, once you find it.
The owner/host was lovely and helpful. Made a good breakfast too (if you like to eat like to eat like a local).
The place was spotless and very quaint.
Really enjoyed my stay. Just what I needed.for a few days solo time. Although it was beautifully traditional, the bed wasn't the most comfortable for an almost 40 year old haha.
- Agata (7/5): -
- Marco (10/5): - Great Breakfast, nice atmosphere and silence at night Was ok for me but in case anyone is wondering: would not recommend for more than 2 people, e.g. a family of 3 due to space (which is known beforehand and accurate)
- Maya (10/5): - The owner is very friendly. We get free breakfast. The location is in the middle of bucknon village. So my suggestion, if you want to experience a traditional house, please go here on the first day before you have got a lot of luggages. The room is small. If you have a lot of luggages, the room doesn't fit. Luckily, there was an empty room, we could put our luggages in that room.
- Justin (9/5): Charming home stay and home cooked Korean breakfast - Lovely Hanok in Bukchon and the host is kind, welcoming and accommodating. Home cooked breakfast was especially nice The room was a bit musty but it’s an old house and it was very rainy at the time.
- Severine (8/5): A pleasant and down-to-eath stay in a traditional neighbourhood and house. - The breakfast was wonderful, just make sure to notify the landlady in advance if you do not need breakfast. They have all the necessary amenities, including personal bathroom, shared kitchen and good beds. The house is beautifully traditional, the space was very clean when we arrived.
- Mawaddah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Presle (10/5): Adorable insight into life in a hanok - I adored the owners who were very friendly and helpful in every possibile way (and I did ask for some crazy things that they could have easily ignored).
It gave you a very good feel what living in these houses felt like in the historical eras,
Breakfast. The first time it was a bit difficult to find. It is better to come from North than from West (it is a side street for pedestrians only and from the West you need to climb the stairs).
I traveled with a lot of luggage (2 suitcases) and the room was too small to fit the suitcases open, not even talking about taking things out of the suitcase,
- Natasha (8/5): Lovely place - Excellent location. Very comfortable. Should have said we don't eat pork. Otherwise, breakfast was nice!
- Kim (2/5): A big disappointment - I was forced to stay in another homestay upon check in - I was given another room in another homestay upon arrival, it was smaller and lack of certain amenity such as microwave and fridge which I suppose to have for original booking, I have no choice but to accept it - I would appreciate if they could inform me well in advance about double booking on their side and gave me the option of cancel with full refund or accept the new location proposal, instead of forcing in down my throat upon check in. It was a guestroom in the owner's house, the main door scream loudly everytime someone open it and it happened few times close to midnight. The thin mattress was way too soft that offer no cushion to the hard floor, I didn't know enjoy the stay at all, no more homestay for me, hotel offers much better comfort level.
- Mariana (10/5): Best place to stay - Felt very cozy and was very comfortable to sleep in! The host are extremely nice and the breakfast they made was delicious!
- Sophie (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful hanok located in a peaceful neightborhood! 10min walk to palaces so very convenient! We loved it! 100% recommmend!
- Torres (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katarzyna (10/5): Exceptional - - Beautiful hanok in the great location in Bukchon Hanok Village.
- Hospitality of the owner, very helpful and thoughtful.
- Delicious Korean breakfasts included in the price - The rooms are quite small and the bathroom had a very low ceiling which may be uncomfortable for taller guests
- Katherine (10/5): BEST HANOK IN SEOUL - If I could give this location, 100 stars I would. The owners are so sweet and so kind. They were incredibly accommodating and supportive. As a solo female traveler, it can be a little bit overwhelming at times to be in a new location. On my last night there, I lost my room key and the owners were so quick to run over and support me getting back in my room. They are incredible. When trying to decide which of the many guest houses to stay in in this area, I could not recommend this location more. Easy walking distance to trains, lots of great shops in the area, incredible owners. Choose this stay. Worth every penny.
- Shweta (10/5): Exceptional - The hosts were amazing. They were super sweet and showed us around the hanok when we arrived. The home itself is beautiful and well-maintained. Beds are very comfortable. The breakfast prepared by the hosts was delicious. They even helped us book a taxi and helped carry our luggage to the accessible road. We had the most amazing stay at this property, I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bukchon Hanok village!
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly hosts, the breakfast was delicious and the room was comfortable. Excellent location. I would stay here again when visiting Seoul in the future. Nothing
- Pei (8/5): Very good - The house owners were friendly and we felt welcomed. Have a great experience to stay in an 100 years old hanok traditional home!.The mattress, bathroom and items provided are clean and comfy. Lady house owner cooked us hot tasty breakfast every morning too. My daughter and I really enjoyed the stay. Will definitely come back again. The location shown on Booking.com map is not accurate. The house is actually further in which is at the other end of Bukchon street after you exit from Anguk exit 3. Look for Inu House on Naver map instead. The distance was abit far for us with 2 large luggage. Need about 12mins walk from exit 3.
- Cosima (9/5): Really wonderful, thank you for your kindness! - Really special to stay in a traditional Hanok with such kind and lovely hosts. Slept very comfortably. Loved the location!
