• Abi (8/5): Convenient comfort in central Rethymno - This was our second stay in Rethymno and our first in the Dianna Residence. The manager Christos had a wonderfully warm online manner and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The kitchen was equipped with everything needed, from pots, pans and cooking oils to welcoming snacks and raki(!). The hot tub on the roof terrace was actually a whirlpool-style jacuzzi bath with hot and cold running water, which we didn’t use as it was rainy out. It looks like fun however, so next time we’ll have to stay in the summertime (we visited in April)! When the sun finally shone the roof terrace came into its own: sun loungers and a dining area meant some of us could sunbathe while others sat under the umbrella at the table with their laptops (well, if you have to work on holiday it may as well be outdoors with a fab view!). Each bedroom had an en-suite bathroom, and having a separate toilet on the ground floor was handy too. It was also good to have access to a washing machine and drying rack. The Dianna Residence is in the pedestrianised historic centre of Rethymno so free parking is a 5-10 minute walk away. We found an available space easily enough each time (the trick is coordinating your arrival time with low local traffic levels - you get the rhythm of this within a day or two). The location is excellent: the house is in the ‘old town’, yes, but it’s not too central as to be noisy at night. It was also 10 minutes from the beach. There are several small supermarkets within walking distance. I use a lightweight foldable mobility scooter, so it was especially useful having our own entrance (you have to lift the scooter past the doorstep). Anyone with a kiddie buggy will also find this factor handy! The Dianna Residence was simple and homely rather than ‘boutique chic’, which worked well for our family: it felt comfortably proportioned, with the three floors of the living area giving everyone just the right amount of personal space.

• Gabriela Florica (10/5): Un loc in care revin cu placere, sejur care ne-a depasit cu mult asteptarile! - Am avut surprize de la sosire: pahare si vin pe masa, un cos plin cu fructe, bauturi racoritoare in frigider, primul mic dejun asigurat, dulciuri, cafea … Consumabile in baie, inclusiv periute de dinti, bucataria urilata, curatenie si confort. Orice rugaminte sau solicitare a fost imediat indeplinita, orice intrebare a primit raspuns rapid. Nu am nimic de reprosat
