Guest Reviews
- Louise (10/5): Relaxing lots of laughter everything we needed was there - It was so nice and relaxing a couple of nights away with friends
- Rolandas (10/5): - All good
- Juliet (7/5): A lovely park near the sea, with attractive triangular shaped chalets. - Kingsdown is a well maintained and attractive park. The pool is a good size and the chalet’s location is good for going to it. It is lovely to be a walk from the beach, and thanks to great weather nice to have outside eating on a veranda. The kitchen was well equipped. There was a strong mustiness in the chalet, despite the host’s attempts to dispel it. For someone with disabilities the steep road from the beach to the park might be a problem, as would be the steep stairs to the bedrooms. The pool hours were quite short (last entrance was 3.30) and closed over lunch, plus even though pretty empty the life guard blows a whistle after 50 minutes ( you have to book a session) which on our first visit seemed unnecessary as we were the only four in the pool and only a few were coming in at 11.
- Mark (7/5): Was a lovely place 😊 -
- JOGI (9/5): - Facilities and cleanliness Nothing
- Sophie (9/5): Comfortable, cute and homely - Nice and tidy, beds were reasonably comfortable, great location and had use of all facilities Heating was a bit tricky to work and WiFi was a bit slow
- James (9/5): -
2 enkelsängar i sovrum 2.
1 våningssäng i sovrummet på markplan. Det blev extremt varmt på övervåningen när vi var där mitt i sommaren. Då jag inte riktigt visste om fönstren klarade av sin egna vikt så vågade jag aldrig öppna dom max.
- Brian (7/5): - We have been before so we knew the layout. The pool is well heated good location didn't need to take our own bedding or towels as they were provided for the pool also .
The chalet was well equipped with everything you need plenty of room for us all. Play areas for kids no cars on site 👍 There were quite a few cobwebs the WiFi needed to be rebooted but did work eventually. We did back onto the car park ( but we knew this already as it was in the property info)
The social club/bar is only open in August.
- Gustavo (10/5): Exceptional - That i could host my familynand they could sleep over. Loved everything.
- John (7/5): Great location - Great location on the beach Pool not open due to an asbestos problem
We had booked the site for the use of the pool
So very disappointing 😞
- Stephen (9/5): Superb -
- Jaroslaw (7/5): Good -
- Kathryn (7/5): Good - Location. Probably better for families with younger children. Everything provided in chalet. A little dated.
- Paula (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect for the children. Great location. Headroom upstairs bit cramped for adults
- Jamila (10/5): Lovely clean cosy accommodation. Perfect stay - Excellent location. Comfortable. We arrived and were freezing. The accommodation was so warm when we entered. It was cosy and clean and perfect N/A
- Kaya (2/5): I wouldn’t recommend it honestly - The kitchen and the living room The stairs were dangerous for the kids, we couldn’t have a shower for the whole period of stay as the shower was broken, the electricity kept cutting off whenever we switch on the radiators and the kettle.
Plus we were in n: 145 the view was facing the car park even the other side of the shaley didn’t have a nice view.
- Naveed (9/5): Superb -
- Samantha (10/5): Good value for money, great location and well equipped - Really well equipped lovely property! It was very cold but plenty of heaters and extra bedding supplied so soon got cosy! Great location near nice pubs. Sadly did not get time to use pool but looked very clean.
Very well equipped, good facilities! Very good value for money! Thank you Roz Staircase was a bit scary as had two pensioners with us as is very steep but soon got used to it!
- Patel (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (10/5): Lovely stay in Kingsdown Chalet! - Easy peasy lockbox with code.
- Beth (7/5): Relaxing for the grown ups and fun for the kids!! - Lovely little chalet, had plenty of room for two adults and three children and had everything we needed for the week. The dishwasher was a nice touch as it meant I was definitely on holiday as no washing up!
Lots of things for the kids to play with, outside toys and board games etc.
The park itself is great for kids, we used the play ground every day and went swimming a few times. The shop is handy, but there were lots of random cupboard supplies in the kitchen and bathroom which was a bonus.
Being surrounded by trees was also lovely and not very far from two pubs and the beach. Most of the wall art is crooked and really made my autism itch!
- Anzelika (7/5): We had an amazing holiday, good value for money - The holiday park was amazing. Lovely village location by the sea. Had lots of activities for the kids, and the swimming pool was very clean and spacious. The property we stayed at had a damp smell in some areas, otherwise had everything you need for a pleasant stay.
- Neelan (5/5): A wonderful location and the chalet park has facilities for kids. But the actual chalet could do with a redecoration and - Location Dated , aged decor. Bathroom was very standard .
- Anne (8/5): Very good - The location was really pretty and peaceful. It was great to have the use of the pool. The chalet itself was well equipped and Roz was great at communicating and really helpful. We had a lovely break, so thank you. We found the stairs a bit steep to begin with, but we got used to them and just took them carefully.
- Georgi (8/5): Very good - Good property for family. Not good enough clean
- Nishi (8/5): Excellent chalet - Really nice Chalet and very good facilities including swimming pool, crazy golf tennis. Equipment available from shop however this is only open until 5pm. Swimming pool open off peak until 4pm.
Kitchen has all the utensils etc.
Kingsdown beach is a 5 min walk and the white cliffs and Dover a short drive
Would love to visit again in the summer!
Finally thank you to our host Roz This chalet didn't get the sunlight directly
Bit small as we have 3 children, but perfect for a few days.
- Melanie (10/5): Definitely stay, you will not regret! Beautiful place & location! - Loved the homely touches, the nice wall quotes and pictures, comfy sofa's,the fact the was a pint of milk in the chalet ready for us,tea coffee and various other different teas. There was also some porridge, and condiments all ready for if you hadn't got time, upon arrival! The beds are also super comfy,we slept like a dream! Wifi worked well too! Nothing to add!
- David (4/5): Not very satisfied, won't be returning. - Quiet location. Close to the sea. Booking process straightforward. Chalet in need of a major upgrade. Doors and windows which don't close properly, draughty . Not clean. Entrance to the location needs proper signage from the road.
Proper heating system needed.
- Henry (10/5): Amazing, comfortable and tiday place, near sea side - Location, facilities, comfortable, parking
- John (8/5): Location, Location, Location = EXCELLENT - Excellent Location, right next to the Beach & Really Pretty Park with Swimming Pool. Fresh Milk in the Fridge & Tea, Coffee etc is a Nice Touch by the Host. I am a bit OCD - so the CHALET could have been 'CLEANER' (Cobwebs, Stains & Marks) but Otherwise IT was FINE.
- Devdatta (7/5): Good - Nice place Bathroom was too small and not clean enough
- Anonymous (10/5): Lovey place and great hosts that couldn’t have done more for us so thank you - Lovely quirky little chalet on a really nice clean site Nothing
- Kar (7/5): Good -
- Marcel (10/5): Exceptional - Location Nothing
- Aisling (4/5): great location with superb amenities on site for families but would not stay here again. - good access to excellent facilities and the beach the kitchen was dirty - the cooker hood looks as though it has never been cleaned and the kettle was so filthy that the filter let all the brown bits through into our cups meaning we could not have tea or coffee or prepare our baby’s bottle. it needs replacing. no cot mattress or sheet for our baby despite paying£10 extra for this facility. the host was very nice and offered an alternative - we used a duvet for his bedding. she did apologise. towels stuffed into a dirty looking suitcase and the soiled bikes and toys outside were mouldy - we genuinely were surprised at the untidiness of the outdoor area and had thought the previous guests had not checked out. our daughters bedroom had cotton wool stuck to the bedside drawers that could have been cleaned before and there was a very heavy mirror placed on top of the drawers which was not secure and could cause an accident. finally the toilet seat needs to be secured properly.
- Kiwi (7/5): Good - It was comfortable and easy to access The price of electric when it's cold
- Andrew (8/5): Very good -
- Dorian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rosemary (8/5): We had a very enjoyable stay in Kent for 4 nights. - The chalet is in a lovely location, near the beach. The park has a warm swimming pool which is a great bonus. Friendly staff everywhere. Car parking right near the chalet, which had everything needed for self catering. Nothing.
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Ben (9/5): Superb - Nice and comfortable chalet in a lovely family orientated holiday park. The chalet has everything thing you need for self catering in its fully functional kitchen.
All the bedrooms have comfortable beds and had more than enough room for our family of 5.
The site has good facilities for family activities including a good quality indoor pool.
Very good communication from the owners from start to finish. Lots to do locally from days on the beach to exploring castle's.
I highly recommend this chalet for a family break or holiday and will definitely be staying again. Nothing to complain about.
- Sarah (9/5): A lovely, comfortable chalet in a great location. We’ll definitely be back! - The property was clean and comfortable with everything that we needed for a great, short stay. It is in a lovely location and the holiday park is great for families. There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like!
- Anonymous (8/5): We loved our stay in chalet 145. It was beautiful, clean and fully equipped. The owner was accommodating, understanding - The design, clean, it had a bbq, outdoor table and chairs.
- Mathew (9/5): A lovely stay in a lovely place - lovely chalet, in a great location, on a lovely park. Nothing
- Kay (10/5): Had a lovely couple of days thanks - Chalet was lovely, Roz was very helpful, we felt welcomed would definitely return. Nothing really
