• Nika (10/5): - Love this place! Spacious and beautiful room. Right in old town and I was able to walk everywhere including the lake with ferry stop and also the Duomo. So many restaurants and stores near by. Parking is a 5 min walk away and free from 7 PM to 8 AM.

• John Schuh (8/5): Como in July 2025 - Excellent location, well restored 17th Century building, georgeous wood ceiling and tile floors. We had difficulty finding the location. It is on Via Vitani, a very narrow medieval street and we were never provided the number of the location which is 33 Via Vitani. We located it with the assistance of a taxi driver who spoke Italian to Ivan which we would not have been able to do. Ivan speaks very little English and the best method of communication with him was in writing through Booking.com and translated by Google Translate. Initially we were upset because the air conditioning wasn't cooling the place and the internet connection seemed very slow. Ivan addressed our concerns and with each day we gained greater appreciation for the property. One negative was that there is no elevator. My wife and I are 74 and 70 so the stairway to the apartment was difficult for us. Ivan did carry our suitcases up the stairs which would have been difficult for us. I managed to get them down the stairs with difficulty. The location of the unit is fantastic. Como in general is a bit intimidating if you don't speak Italian. Very few Italians speak English.

• Anonymous (7/5): Good location in Como with some opportunities to improve. - Loved the location. Very central to everything. Also cute decor. The directions to enter the property were confusing and required several phone calls to the hosts. The language barrier made it more difficult. Consider sending written instructions to help make it easier. Also the stairs up to the apartment had no lights at night. My biggest complaint about the place was the air conditioner. It was very loud, not big enough to cool the entire space and it cut out during the night.

The place was very central in Como Town, and was clean and pleasant to stay in, exactly like the pictures. We had to remember to leave the tourist tax in cash.

• Carolyn (6/5): Very disappointing given all the positive reviews with no compensation apart from a local panettone. - Location Sleep seriously disrupted by a party celebration held for the owner next door. We tolerated it until 1.30am when I had to bang on their front door. The response was sharp. The following night we experienced loud footsteps and voices from the apartment above resulting in us knocking on their door. WiFi connection was “flaky” and we frequently lost connection. The heating controls did not work. The washing machine is not in the apartment and most people appreciated her processing it but actually I would have preferred to have taken control over temperatures etc. The owner was “sincerely apologetic” and offered us a discount. We considered this to be eligible immediately but she was only offering it for our next stay which is very unlikely.Despite all her positive reviews we did not consider our stay to be value for money and will not be revisiting.

The location is perfect in a lovely area of Como, close to the waterfront, ferries, restaurants and shopping. Hope to return one day. Highly recommend! Nothing!

Being in the heart of the town means it can get a bit noisy at night so recommend earplugs just in case.

• Clementine (10/5): A magical, perfect stay and just what we needed. - Everything! From the beautiful design to the location, superstar hosts who we adored to the super comfy bed. Alice & Ivan was such fabulous people and so generous - Alice kindly did our washing for us on arrival as we’d been travelling for a week beforehand. We even ended up going for a drink with them on the last night which was just gorgeous. Lovely lovely people & sad not to have more time with them. It’s located on a magical street bang in the centre of Como, and very easy to go back forth from car parks etc. It was honestly perfect for our stay, and definitely want to come back. Not much. If I had to say one thing it’s that the pillows slide down the back of the mattress a touch, but given there’s so many pillows and cushions it really wasn’t an issue.
• Nick (10/5): The location and the apartment itself, combined with Alice as the host makes this a perfect base to explore Lake Como! - The communication throughout with Alice was brilliant! She shared some excellent recommendations and was really accommodating for our young family. The location of the property was incredible, surrounded by history and endless choices of cafes and restaurant, and just a short walk from the lake. The property itself is so cool, beautiful high ceilings and really nicely decorated. We loved it and would definitely like to stay again!
